A Titan in music history. Almost in an orbit of her own.
Probably the greatest singer ever. I️ love you Sassy!
Been watching her the entire weekend. Still in awe, and I want her wardrobe.
she must have been the "Goddess of Jazz" if Ella Fitzgerald is Queen of Jazz and Billie Holiday is Empress of Jazz

"So Many Stars" nearly brought me to tears. Most particularly when I remembered that a few years later, when she was already ailing, this song was what Sarah Vaughan sang at her last known live performance.
Sarah and Ella did not leave much room for too many others .Wonderful woman this one .
Mark Hewitt they are so great. Then there Dinah ,Whitney hear her concert from Chile.but some singers have techniques less formidable.i think of abbey ,Chris Connor ,Nina.......,and don t forget Aretha ,Mahalia ,Billie ,both Etta s Betty Roche and Carter .jeanne Lee ,Sara Serpa ,Christine Correa ,dominque Eade ,Mae ?Arnette
Had ticket to see Ms. Vaughn in 1989 at Yoshi’s in Oakland, Ca. See got sick and had to cancel. She passed that next year. She was one of the great vocalist ever. Continue to RIP Ms. Vaughn.
She was gone too early.. next year is her 100th birthday.. hope someone is putting something big together to mark that important memorium. New Jersey where are you?!!

SIMPLY THE GREATEST THAT EVER DID IT! KEEP FLYING SASSY!
in my opinion the best with Ella! His voice, his way of interpreting, his sense of humor, a real treat for the ears and the soul. We miss her very much
Its fascinating how sick she must of been during this concert but the talent never left. The voice itself is like diamonds it never lost its luster even though the body was failing her.
things of God!
Yes, I was at a club with George, Monty Budwig who replaced Andy Simpkins, and Harold when her manager told us she passed. I cried so hard. Arlette Budwig and I were hanging out with that wonderful trio honoring Sass.
True true and very true again! @Dylanwashington
Simply amazing
Until the very end SARAH INVINCIBLE VOICE bettered with age. Her last album is the VERY Peak and height of her Career. A prodigious miracle considering HOW LIL she was at the end of her life...
Sarah Vaughn is a Queen and her musicians are in complete communion with her…a rare and beautiful combination ❤️
The voice of the century! With her extreme range and flexibility she could have sung anything!
WHAT COURAGE AND WHAT ENERGY !SLEEPS WITH THE ANGELS BEAUTIFUL SASSY .
Sure miss seeing Sass, hanging out with her and listening to her sing so many times.
Her voice flows like a river of chrystal clear water.
You said it better thanks
Just found this a few years after you posted. Thank you so much for sharing. Brought tears to my eyes…..
It's hard to believe that she would be dead in less than two years from lung cancer. Her voice was still magnificently beautiful.
It is absolutely amazing how her voice held up despite the smoking. Gone way too soon. She was indeed a gift to the world. Absolutely fulfilled her purpose on earth.
Extraordinária!!!
... é porque o timbre dessa mulher é qual um "Stradivarius"!!
@@dOtrukdOrkut Para mim, quando era criança, por acidente, engoliu a palheta de um saxofone contralto que ficou presa na garganta. ;)
bOa! hehe.
Maravilhosa, Sarah Vaughn. Uma voz linda e eterna!!! Wonderful, Sarah Vaughn. A beautiful and eternal voice!!
How amazing. What a great pleasure to listen to. Special, unique. I remember her, saw her twice in concert.
She sang in little ol NZ.l loved her fullstop but her later years are my favorites
George Gaffney on piano, Andy Simpkins on bass and Harold Jones on drums, stellar trio! Sass was the best ever. Carmen, Ella, Sass and Morgana, and I know I am not forgetting Gloria and Lorez or Irene Kral.
Best voice ever

elle est vraiment exceptionnelle !!! 🔵⚪🔴 ....
Like vintage, opulent, succulent wine Sarah Vaughan' s voice elegantly evolved. Was this her last live performance?
Wow i love this idea
Love this lady .
Thank you!
Необятное талантище!!!
C 2 думи...всичко е казано!
Thanks for sharing 😉

😙Marco. Again thanks. What a trip to .new Zealand ! I was invited to play Beijing and couldn’t
she should have sung "when you are 64" - she is 64 here and she sounds like she s in her prime
Maravilhosa!! DIVINA SASSY!!

Foi a melhor de todas.
Little known fact . When Tony B asked her about drummers she said Harold Jones . A real pro baby

Fabulous Singer Love Les
I just found out she is my cousin
Her, Carmen McRae & Ella were the Three Greats! 😁
He's the best singer.
Who are the supporting musicians? She's the only vocalist who maintained her instrument and mastery of it until the very end.
George Gaffney on piano, Andy Simpkins on bass and Harold Jones on drums!
Hi Marco, Thanks for sharing I adore Miss Sassy. Question=Why is the volume so low. I checked my volume, yours seem very low
Angela: Carmen McRae, stated that Betty Carter was the only jazzical singer. You left her out.

"why don't you be still Mike and stay in you're place, stop roving around." Way to call out your pianist when you are trying to focus playing and singing. SV my teacher.
Thatluxcrafter, Her pianist is George Gaffney, bassist Andy Simpkins and Harold Jones on drums accompanying Sass. What are you talking about!!!????
TheLuxCrafter/GLIMMAGLAMCOLLECTION she was talking about mic not anyone named mike lol
Hahaha she was talking about the microphone! Love her humor!
