Wow that's real clean. It gives my rust buckets a scrap car feel now. I'm about to do the same on a 89 rx7 so you have given me alot of motivation thank you.

Thanks for dropping in mate. Happy to hear I've given you some motivation.
As long as it's solid, you'll be able to make yours look good too! With a bit of deox and elbow grease, will look good as new 👌😎

@@RestoHubAU thanks man hopefully.. it seems solid enough mainly surface rust but it's Japanese so wouldn't surprise me if it's paper thing metal. Time will tell I'll keep an eye out for the rest of your build

Will be an incredible Xt. Did this to my Cl regal se and after a few weeks it was filthy. But it was my daily driver for 20 years. Looks like any other old Cl underneath now after 600,000 ks. Time for a refresh soon as i get 2 others done. Nice work mate.

      Thanks Peter!
Can imagine what a few weeks of daily driving would do to a pristine looking underbody 🤣
Thanks for stopping in and of course the feedback. See you on the next one mate. 🤙😎

@RestoHubAU you are doing a great job, miss my old Xt gt but still wish I have my Zd fairlane to. They were the nice years of Ford. Too dam expensive to buy even a rusted out wreck now.

I can't imagine how you feel about not having your GT.
Agree, anything classic is so damn expensive these days, and most are fairly well rotted out unfortunately.
Even the late 70s and early 80s models are fetching a mint now. Can't imagine how it will be in 10 years from now.

So important to remove all rust from the substrate before any top coat, well done!

Yeah, I wish I had room for one Stephen, but unfortunately don't have the length to fit one in.
Thanks for stopping in, see you on the next one 😎👍
