As someone that is unfortunately disabled, can't work on things... and do it the "right way". I am a strong believer in Rislone, Bar's Leaks, Sea Foam and Marvel Mystery Oil. Sometimes things can be too far gone for these additives to help sadly. There have been times where they've helped me buy some time to save money for a repair. So thankful for these products and a couple of small mechanic local shops (in whom doesn't believe in the "snake oil" btw lol). I wish I could do more "preventive maintenance" than what is currently done but don't get that kind of money. Owning a car is so expensive.
Much Hope And Love keep Safe💗
Rislone treatment was implemented and with unbelievably clear results! Don't ever tear an old tractor engine apart again.
Glad to hear it worked for you too.
Cool guy , I will following you got good tone to the audience
Like your video
Appreciate the compliments!
you really give some free tips in here...like8
Good content can learn about the engine. ..
I have a Ford 8n that is probably going to get the same "treatment". Mine isn't smoking as bad as your massey was, but it does smoke on acceleration. Thanks for a good video.
My massey is still going strong and the smoke hasn't come back. It's definitely allowing me to put off the rebuild until it's convenient for me.
@@FarmDad I am selling that tractor Friday evening. Tonight is the night, going shopping after the ABC news!
Smoking on acceleration is normal with old diesel tractors.
@@norwegiannationalist7678 Yes , but as anyone who knows anything about 8N Tractors ........ They ARE Gasoline Engines !! ⛽
Rislone should send you some of this for the good review !
I wish!
Yeahp , they should
Engine restore works and lasts. Best stuff in a can I’ve ever used
Somebody told me that, where could I find this? Everybody says "Engine Restore", but neglect the brand they use. Thanks.
@@dbzownz12345 lol dude That is the brand name
@@dbzownz12345 no problem. I do have to say the stuff works and for a good long time. Of course each case is different depending on the actual issue but, for loss of compression due to worn rings and cylinders this stuff rocks
@@cha-ka8671 Thanks, I apperciate it.
Amen the best
Gonna give it a shot!!!🤔
How'd it go for you?
Have not tried it yet gonna do it soon probably my next oil change is coming soon..
If the engine is warmed up or warmer later in the day that will make a tremendous difference. Keep that in mind.
Yes, this would smoke less when warmed up before I added the ring seal, but this made my cold engine nearly stop smoking.
it rebuilds cylinders with heat resistant polymers
not just thick oil lol
Tried in a seadoo 4tec did not work. After tearing motor down there was oil in cylinders, just enough to smoke. Had worn rings.
Bummer. Worth a try.
What is the long term solution bc I have the same problem
Long-term, it will need new piston rings.
I wonder if my question will be answered..... is it still working and how often do you use you're tractor.
I was using this tractor daily, but it is now broke down.
@@FarmDad What broke? Is it due to this product?
@@o0EggMan it has no oil pressure. Product could have clogged up oil pump or it may have just gave out since it's a 61 year old engine. Going to have to see what it looks like when I finally have time to tear into it. Reluctant to blame rislone at this point as motor was pretty tired to start with.
I blew the oil filter housing out with compressed air and my oil pressure came back. Tractor is back running good.
@@FarmDad Nice I still put a bottle in it didn't help my smoke as much but I have better oil pressure. I think I'm going to replace rings eventually just keep adding oil for now.
How long did it hold off the smoke for? Thanks for the video! With your opening line and how much my CJ smokes, maybe I should call my Willy’s “Willy Nelson” 😂
Worked for many months. This tractor leaks oil and I would tip it off, so that may dilute it and cause it not to last as long in my case. Definitely never smoked as bad as it was though.
@@FarmDad awesome, I’ll try it today and post my results!
@@DirtRoadTherapyupdate ?
@@LingoENT it didn’t make a difference for me
@@DirtRoadTherapy lol i appreciate that , just looking for alternatives before looking for and engine 😭😭
How long did it last?
Only the rear
@@FarmDad . Mo, how long did it stop the engine from smoking? 5 minutes, A tank of gas, 5 tanks etc?
@@francineganmor9952 oh weird, that was my response to a different question on a different video! Not yours. This tractor leaks a lot a oil. I change it once a year, but have to add more frequently. I noticed that it became less effective as many months went by. Most likely because it became diluted.
@@FarmDadI have no visable smoke color, but I have oil consumption. Would this help or should I use Rislone Compression Ring Sealer in that tall Alloy yellow/blk bottle? I have an 05 Civic EX with V-TEC been told my pistion rings were failing. Would any rislone products screw up a Variable Valve Timing (VVT) engine? Thanks.
I used this product, but it only works when my engine is completely warmed up. Until then, it smokes WAY more than normal. It isn't working for me and my particular car.
can Seafoam also work?
No, Seafoam cleans and doesn’t seal.
no, it is a cleaner
Looks like STP
Probably similar!
Didn’t work for mine
Bummer
If it work. It would be the number 1 product in the world...🤨
Well, I'm here to say it works. How many years has it been and I still am running this tractor, putting in a bottle once a year when I change the oil. Tractor needs rings, but so long as I can get by with this, I'll keep on keeping on.
Anybody ever heard of S.T.P. or 80 90w gear lube??? Same thing.
Lmao !? No it's not even close to being the same thing. Know what you are talking about before commenting. You will look a whole lot less stupid.
