- I HAVE OFFICIALLY BECOME A FILIPINO...
On Sept 13th, I took my Oath of Allegiance to the Republic of the Philippines. First and foremost I'd like to thank everyone for being a part of this journey... which has only just begun. Today marks the beginning of the most important part of my life. I am ready for this. I am filled with belief, inspiration, gratefulness, and love.
I am so gratefu that Congresswoman Len Alonte from Biñan Laguna administered my Oath. As principal author of the first House Bill... it meant so much to me. This past few years has been the most incredible journey. I am grateful to everyone across the country, and both in Congress and Senate, who not only supported me... but inspired so much belief within me.
It was an incredibly overwhelming moment for me. Even more so having my Titos and Titas from Cebu and Cagayan de Oro in attendance... the Filipino families who took me in, and impacted my life in so many positive ways. To the Canadian Ambassador, His Excellency David Hartman... thank you for being there. Your presence reminded me how important it is to always be proud of where we come from... to always stay connected. I will always be a proud Canadian. As I actively do everything I can to be the best Filipino I can be.
I know my parents would have loved to be with me here today... I will see them in the near future, and look forward to giving them my first big hug as a Filipino citizen! I know they were thrilled to see my girlfriend Therine and barkada cameraman Kumar there with me on this day.
I am now a Filipino Citizen.
This was my Oath Taking ceremony.

This got me teary-eyed. "Met" you during the pandemic and since then, you've become my go-to "Filipino" youtuber. It's true what you say in your channel about spreading good vibes, 'coz whenever I'm stressed out in the real world or I'm overloaded by the saturation of tiktoks and shorts on my feed, I go back to your channel where life isn't fast-paced but presented in real time; like chill island living, showcasing the mundane, the kind we all dream of having. But then, there's always some sort of lesson and values we take with us in the end of every video. One example is living the simple, frugal life, even with the fame and fortune you have. You don't flaunt material wealth on social media and you don't take part in the egocentric world. Instead, you use your voice to share your knowledge and experiences. You spread positivity, support local businesses, and uplift a village or a community. This is admirable.
Thanks for sharing your journey into being a true Filipino. And best of all, for being an amazing role model to Filipino kids (and kids of all ages) out there. You are one of the most respectful, cultured and optimistic influencers (if you'd like to be called that) out there. I'm excited to watch more positive content from your platform. This will give him dual citizenship so as a Philippine citizen he won’t have to report to immigration yearly and pay his fees. Upon departure fees taken by the immigration department will no longer be charged so overall savings for him once again. Small investment for many years of savings and living in this paradise.

I'm not sure if it was more on a statement of how you wanted to learn the culture and be amongst Filipinos or it was a foretelling that you will one day actually become a Filipino. It seemed like you have set out years ago to chronicle your journey but I believe that with each video, you have slowly immersed yourself into the culture that everything about it is now ingrained in your soul. I remember kulas back then trying to sell balut during the night just to experience how it is to make a living, i watched kulas drive up the hills in cagayan selling water to people living upland, and Now this! Thank you for your positive vibes, i appreciate you and your channel during the time of pandemic for it gave me a sense of freedom from the four walls of isolation. Salamat 😊
