- Learn some of the many ways to use this fun medium! They work mostly like watercolor pencils but are made with ink, so they are permanent once activated.

Also, I neglected to say the coloring book I mentioned at the beginning gives permission to use the images for personal use or teaching. Always check copyright rules before using someone else’s designs. - Jak na to + styl
Thank you. You included some very helpful technical info during your presentation.
I have the blocks and bought some fabric medium. Looking forward to trying it out.
Great video! Thank you for taking the time to make the video and share your Inktense pencil magic
Thank you, I'm going to try those Fantastix pencils with my activator. I'm a scientist and fabric artist and formulated my own activator, Sew Nature's Activator.
I've been teaching Inktense for a few years now, but haven't tried all the methods you showed, thanks again for the video!
Great tutorial, right to the tips and no unneeded messing around
Thanks, being concise is always part of my goal 😅
Thank you for showing us these techniques. I never even knew that Inktense could be used on fabric.
This is so beautiful,, great idea
Thank you for this great video!
Thank you for this video! I’m going to buy the fantastix blending brushes
I would try the pigment markers - they can be applied like the Inktense and would move on fabric really nicely
Thank you. Have the pencils and PFD fabric and textile medium. Now to find artwork in a coloring book. 😊
I think I neglected to mention that this particular coloring book gives permission to use for personal use or teaching. It’s always good to check copyright rules 😅 It’s usually fine to just try things, just not to sell or post publicly 😅
Thank you!
Love your incredible work! Can you tell me where to find the wonderstix?
Fantastix are available at JoAnn Fabrics and probably other places. Sometimes in the rubber stamping supplies section 😊
You could use washi tape or painter’s tape on your palettes (just an inch or so) to “add your friction” when using the pencil on palettes! The frugal crafter shared that and I’ve never gone back. Now, I primarily use mine on paper but, I’d assume that would also save you some scrubbing on the palette itself as well 😊
Cool idea, thanks!
Hi. I am new to inktense pencils and I am wondering if the fantastix work on paper as well as fabric. Great tutorial.
I don’t think I’ve tried it, but I don’t know why it wouldn’t!
I enjoyed this, just found you. Where can I can find yhe Fantasticks Blender Pencils please
I have found them at JoAnn Fabrics near the rubber stamping supplies, and also Amazon. I can’t remember if I said this in the video but they come with two tip types, bullet and brush. I use the brush tip, more pointy.
Do you need extra postage on the quilted cards?
They can... it's more often because of the thickness than the weight, so if they have no thick embellishments they're usually ok.
I don't use medium, I pencil directly onto the fabric and add water and paint - never use a blender stick and I add color as I want.
I am interested in the fantast/x pencil but cannot find them. Any info would be great. Thank you and thank you for the video
Somehow I missed this! Someone just added a link (thanks!) or I have found them at JoAnn’s also.
Available at Amazon, cheaper than other places.
I didn’t find them on Amazon. Are the Prismacolor Blender Pencils the same thing?
Do you have to set the ink on the fabric?
You aren’t supposed to have to, but people have mixed results depending on the type of fabric, and whether or not it has sizing on it still, or whether or not every speck of Inktense got activated. so it’s best to test a sample if possible. 😅
What is your set..I see something under your fabric but can’t see much
I have the 72 pack of Inktense pencils, is that what you are referring to? I started with 12 and since they blend well I was able to do a lot with those too.
@@onthetrailcreations8638 No, I think talk to text has been messing with me for a few days lol when I was asking is what is your set up under your fabric? Like what do you put under your fabric to pad it or protect it? I see something in the video I just don’t know what it is.
I can’t tell in this video, it’s a few years old, but I often use a cheap vinyl placemat or tablecloth, they work great 😁
You can't call these watercolor since they are ink. Hence the name inktense.
They are used like watercolor pencils, and I explained the difference between them and actual watercolors. But yes, I could have been more clear that they are made of ink. 😅
INKTENSE is made of INK. Its not watercolorpensil. Beautiful textil art you have made!
Yes! They function much like watercolor pencils, but I should have made that more clear 😅
