    So I went for the interview and the questions had nothing Sales related, which I was more prepared for. The interviewer simply just ask for my past 5 years work experience, which I'm sure they already have by simply reading my resume and 3 general questions from a prompt (like describe to me a time when you ran into a quality issue and how you solved it, another one how do you handle prioritizing, and lastly a safety question scenario......but noting sales related) .
    So long story short, I didn't get hired. So the next logical question is, what are they ACTUALLY looking for in this type of interview that has no questions relating to sales, leadership or motivation? Are they just trying to feel for the person regardless of job capabilities (as I have sales experience), are they looking for personality over skillset? I applied for more RSA position in near by cities other than mines and I want to be prepared for the next interview.
    Thanks in advance, any RSA out there for Frito Lay feel free to answer.

      Why are you asking a new hire

    • @michaelmerck7576
      @michaelmerck7576 Před 7 měsíci

      Sometimes they already have their person they plan to promote from within and just have to interview a certain number of applicants and these applicants arent getting hired unless they really wow them over and they can find another opening opening

    • @user_abcxyzz
      @user_abcxyzz Před 6 měsíci +1

      Definitely. They're looking to gauge if you are a cultural fit as well. Sometimes being able to mesh well with their culture is more important than actual qualifications. That's why there are some people who get promoted that aren't even qualified but they mesh well with the majority if the team. It's all politics, and it's in Every job and every industry.

    I want to make sure that I understand. So after your interview, but before you were hired. They wanted you to meet someone at 3 am? Did they at least pay for your time, gas, and mileage?

    Do you have any interview tips?

    • @autive93
      @autive93  Před rokem +3

      Hey sorry for the late response but a couple tips:
      1. The job is a very physical job so make sure you acknowledge the physical aspect of the job and that you can perform the physical aspect of the job.
      2. It’s more than just stocking chips. There is a sale aspect of the job. Make sure you acknowledge the fact that there is a sales aspect of the job and that you don’t have an issue with meeting the sales quota.
      3. Not sure if you are interviewing for the RSA position but if so make sure you let them know how flexible you are because being an RSA means you will be covering routes and routes have different shifts.
      4. ALWAYS use the star method when answering any questions that ask you to describe a situation. For example “ Name a time when you had to make a hard decision” like those type of questions lol I hope that makes sense
      And at the end of it all just be yourself and remember just as much as you may need the job the job needs you too because they wouldn’t be hiring if they didn’t need ppl! Good luck

      It’s good to stack money. Not good for a social life you work too much for that. I’ve been doing the job for a couple years. I have been a lead for 18 months of the journey. The job is stressful and there is no free time really. Most days are 10-13 hours. You only get two off days a week and they fly by lol. On your off day expect your co-lead to text or call you about problems on the route. The job doesn’t work if your a single parent. You have no set off time. It is just how long it takes to service every stop on the route. Could be up to 13 hours and 59 minutes legally a day according to DOT rules. I WOULD NOT recommend to friends or family.
