Embrace End is featured in a bunch of different Tales games, in various forms - in Tales of Destiny 2, it's a 3rd-tier water element spell, and I'm pretty sure that it also appears in Tales of the Abyss, but I'm not sure
That would be... well, the same technique, if you're referring to "Light Blast" in Tales of the Abyss. The Japanese name for the skill is "Shouha Rekkousen", and it was originally used as Judas' 3rd hi-ougi in Tales of Destiny 2 (an extension of Houryuu Zankouken).
I know the first set of ones you get automatically and you press a certain button combination when you meet the requirements to pull it off. As for the last one (the overly dramatic long one). You have to beat the game then unlock it. That one requires work to pull.
I'm aware of that. But I don't have a PS2 and that game was made after ToS. And tbh, I never saw TotA advertised so the game was already out by the time I heard of it. It and SO3 are the first things I'd like to get if I ever get a PS2/3.
eh, ToA's probably the best 3d tales at the moment (With Innocence on close 2nd). Best Tales games right now period (IMO) probably have to be Rebirth, and ToDR
celsius calibur....veigue's ice/frost move turns his sword into the soul calibur....hence why celsius calibur.....that and namco's nice cameo of such to the fans ^_^`
Yeah, "Shouha Rekkousen" = "Light Blast" in English. If they ever localize ToD2 or ToR, they'd better get someone else translating it, because I just don't like the way "Light Blast" sounds. xD And as for the Embrace End hi-ougi - yeah, that's true too. I have a tendency to ramble, you don't need to mind that. xD Now that I think about it, the translated "Final Embrace" I heard of was probably from ToL... -.-
I don't really pay too much attention to the graphics though... I'm more for the gameplay and story (Even though the stories are cliche half the time o.o). But ToS was great. I just think Abyss had the better battle system. Legendia by far has the best soundtrack though =O
ToS was a major letdown for me. I expected 360 degree movement but got linear movement instead. It felt like any other Tales game I'd played with polygons. The only difference was that there were sufficient characters to play with to make any kind of team you wanted; I hated having 1~2 fighters with your choice of 3 billion support characters. But I loved the addition of the Special Guard.
The song is called The edge of an oath by Motoi Sakuraba (from Tales of Rebirth).
Nice video. :)
Damn, Akeno Watanabe is quite the energetic one. Mao always sounds so full of energy and ready to rip some new holes

The one with the fire bird was awesome!!
Man "Maxwell" extensions from Tales of Eternia rock

oO;;;
That one. . .with Eugene and. . .that black-haired woman. . .person. . .thing. . .(Hilda? Helga? Eh. . .someone correct me?)was frighteningly powerful oO;;

yea i guess your right i should've noticed that
after playing practicly all of them except rebirth and TOD remake.
@pspiso123 Yes, the last (of the last Hi Ougi) is Blue Earth the last attack of the maxwell extension !
God the last Hi-ougi is long and deals a lot of damage. I thought it would never end
Well tales of the Abyss has Linear-Flex Range so your character can move in any direction!
hey at 1:25 that hi - ougi is the maxwell extension from tales of eternia
Yes, it was... the spells are in a different order but they are the same extension spells!
PS2, with a PSP port. This footage is from the PS2 version.
Alright Thanks!~
I wonder if the game designers...when making Blue Earth ever heard of overkill...
Late answere but ive noticed mao and the kids high ougi is RAIZING PHOENIX! From Guy,from TOAbyss XD!
Maybe but the Hi-Ougis on this game are meant for overkill. Since you can only use them to finish off the opponet.
they actually share a good amount of them^_^'
This game has the best voice acting in Japanese... I love it!~
That's true. That's the only thing that bugged me about this game.
The one at 1:10 reminds me of dragon demon chaos from tales of eternia

Besides, I'm pretty sure you have to do lots of things to get the extensions. Although I don't know what...
celsius calibur....veigue's ice/frost move turns his sword into the soul calibur....hence why celsius calibur.....that and namco's nice cameo of such to the fans ^_^`
last ougi win everything on every RPG
when they did ddc he said the same thing as rid
Master Spark.
Maxwell extensions rule, btw :
the same shortcuts as used for Tales of Eternia?
the last hi ougi looks like maxwell extension in ToE

It should :)
They share the same name in Japanese... so I guess it's safe to say they are the same technique!
0:59 looks like light blast
Actually, it's 'The Die is Cast'. =O
Either that or get required items...
wow 8 hiogi in a row X_X. i feel sorry for the bosses
Luke's Light Blast sucked hard, though. Rebirth's was the best, IMO. ENTIRE 3 SECONDS OF STABS FTW
No.. that was the total damage actually..
omg O.o annie + eugene = one of judas's hi-ogies?
Still...A little on the overkill?
Honestly, I couldn't agree more. xD
i love the last move
duo de sun
aquarius supheia
purisimical staasa
burightest geito
