What you play is romantic not classic, specially the vibratos are ruining the classic style

I really like the black background. It’s not distractive comparing to other CZcams videos!
Thank you so much Maxim for post it this slow performance! . It's very useful.
This is a great help for my kid to practice Hyden concerto C major.
Slow play is really helpful to practice double stops and high position.
He loves your tone and play as well.
Thank you for sharing your vedio!!
Wow, I have to say, that was amazing. I cant believe the accuracy you displayed during this entire presentation. It is not easy to play and sound good without any back up, but you nailed it. This video will help me to get started on this Concerto. Thank you.
Thank you, Perry. This is the tempo I use to work on this concerto with all my students. I am so happy you found it helpful.

Always thank you for posting slow version. It helps me a lot.
I really like the multi camera approach & hope it's a permanent feature in your future videos. It's a real pleasure watching you perform.
Thank you! I just got a new 4K camcorder. It will give me more options to figure out the best view to show. I am still learning...
So beautiful! Loved listening to this without the orchestral accompaniment.... so emotive!
Glad you enjoyed it! This is how we, cellists hear it all those long hours practicing it over and over again. Performing it with the orchestra feels like a split of a second after that...
@@Cellopedia This has always been my favourite cello concerto... the cello sings to the soul...
As a beginner returning after a long break, I can only imagine being able to play this, but it inspires in every way!
Absolutely incredible tone and performance!
👏👏👏👏 Wonderful cello playing!!!
Nice job, really enjoy your videos as a freshmen in highschool. Keep it up!
This is so helpful! Thank you so much! 🌻
Fantástico, muchas gracias!💕👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Amazing!
I am SO happy you're back. I was away for almost 2 months in Turkey. Couldn't concentrate to listen to your videos.
But now I am back to Germany. I will check all I lost in a month.
Thank you 😚💖
Welcome back, Marlene!
Thank you so much~~~~~ my son is learning from your playing.
What a good video! For seeing slowly all de thumb poaitions! It seems that perhaps I could try to play it...
Can you also record the Elgar Cello Concerto in slow tempo?
Wow me encanto, quizas proximamente estare tocando esta pieza
Thanks. You're great!
Happy to help! We all contribute as much as we can🎻
Very good professor
Thank you very much !
Excellent video.
This execution is very good 👌👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Bravo again! Amazing job with your slow motion versions!
It gives us the energy and courage that we can do the same!
However, my cello is still resistant - even to slow motions!
Beautiful accomplishment! Congratulations!
Thank you, Florin. Your encouragement and tons of support make so much difference in my life!

These are really top quality videos and extremely helpful. But your musicianship is also extraordinary. May i ask some information about your lovely instrument?
Thank you so much for your kind words. I got this cello almost 20 years ago in Russia. I showed it to several prominent experts, but nobody can tell me who made it. Some suggested it was italian, some that it was made in Germany, others told me it is has french roots. I am not very upset about it - this is my voice I was fortunate to find.
Muito bom, bravo! Seus vídeos são excelentes!
Very helpful. Will you make anytime soon the 3rd movement?
I will try. Just not sure when I will have time to do it.
😍 👏 👏
Can you please do the 2nd and 3rd movement please😊😊😊 this is so good for my practicings❤❤❤❤❤

Thank you so much for this, learning this right now. Sorry for stealing your fingerings 😂
You’re most welcome! These are actually fingerings (with few exceptions) by M. Rostropovich. I am happy it helps!
Will you be making a video on the third movement?
Good idea. There is so much to do and so little time :( I will try to do it, just not sure when...
Could you maybe try Concerto in C minor by JC Bach/Cassadesus?
Got it. Thank you

I have a question. Is this movement left unfinished by haydn? Cause I watched this piece from so many Cellists and everyone played a different thing in the last part of the piece. As if everyone plays his own improvisation in the last part
Yes, there is “cadenza” at the end, which typically means an improvisation. In most of the cases, those improvisations are composed by prominent cellists and published in various editions.
@@Cellopedia the improvisation you played in the last part of the piece was exactly what Hauser played in his performance. Is that his improvisation or yours?
Neither :) It is printed as it is. Perhaps it is by Rostropovich
@Cellopedia no rostropovich played a different cadenza. OK 😁
Good job
Where could I find this music score in PDF

On measure 40 (first thumb position part), it seems like you doesn't use 1st finger for the E, is that right? I cant get That fingering on tempo
Hello Mr Kozlov! I am trying to play this movement but I have some difficulties playing doble steps with de thumb position and fingers 2-4. Can you give some tips for playing this passage easily or with other position? This video is really good. Thank you.
Dear Magda, this is one of the most difficult spots to master in this movement. We all have problem learning it. It feels awkward and fingers get sore fast. You might want to experiment with elbow/wrist position to make it easier for the fingers to press on the string. Moving the elbow down will help the 4th finger, but would likely make it more difficult to use the 2nd. Other than that, my only advise would be to give it some time - come back to it every day, you should feel an improvement soon. P.S. there are three spots like this in this movement. Working on the first one will help to play other double stops.
@@Cellopedia Thank you for your advises. I will try this passage again every day, but, then, what fingering do you think is better, 1-3 or 1-4?
@@magdamont3121 im playing this and i use 1-3, its easier for me that way

Hello, you can make a video with the real tempo. Pleace.
Honestly, I do not think I could contribute much if I recorded it. There are so many wonderful recordings already made. For example czcams.com/video/308St8RCd9U/video.html
Where can I find the beautiful cadenza you played?
Thanks (:

Not really so slow, very close to performance tempo actually. Well played though.
