      simple sine waves are very difficult to locate. to judge direction your brain compares the sounds from your 2 ears. unlike a normal sound, which has random detail, a regular wave tone looks the same no matter where you cut it. so your brain can’t tell which one is coming first, and the directionality gets all messed up.

    • @Nohiding
      @Nohiding Před 3 lety +2

      It's neat right. Despite your perception you only hear with your ears. Even with bone conduction the vibrations still vibrate the ears. Cool huh? All we need is logic.

    If this is the frequency of your tinnitus, try wearing headphones and playing this for ~10 seconds, then pause it. Your tinnitus should dampen or even stop for a little bit.

      Tinnitus is your brain desperate hallucinating the sound because it expects sounds of the particular frequency at the location of the damaged nerves.

  • @bethrains3105
    @bethrains3105 Před 9 měsíci +3

    You know what's comforting about this as opposed to tinnitus? You can actually feel the air pressure on your ear drums which signals a knowing the sound is external, where tinnitus there's no pressure on the eardrum and the sound is just oozing out of your brain.
