#6 The armed population full of combat Veterans.
YUP. And hunters. And preppers. And target shooters. And even AF REMFs like me. And if we raised an army of ten million volunteers, I guarantee they would all show up armed and with proper gear for the weather. Their own stuff, or from the people that have 4 ARs gathering dust, lining up saying take this one, it shoots real good. The DoD would probably have to standardize calibers - probably 9mm, 556, 308, 50cal, and those new calibers. Yes people will show up with 50 cals.
Damn right!

US Navy veteran, we have ships that sole purpose is carrying food, fuel, ammunition to other ships at sea. It's called underway replenishment 😊 They pull along side we have wires and hoses to transfer the goods over while still moving. The nuclear powered aircraft carrier may not need fuel, but the other 11 escort ships do 😊
I've been there and done that . Operations Specialist 2nd Class on a DDG and a CG .
The carrier doesn’t require any fuel, but the aircraft do. But there’s a lot more room for jet fuel, since the carrier doesn’t need to store liquid fuel for the ship.
Awesome vid

The US military isn't just to protect the US, but it's to protect it's allies also. I hate using the term "world police", but it kind of is.
Sadly only democrats believe this, Trump and conservatives have been sucking off putin and openly said he would encourage Russia to attack our allies whike withholding aid. Thankfully us real Americans, Democrats, are willing to stand for our allies.
It's why the US Navy even exists.
AMERICAA..... FUCK YEAH!!!!!
America FUCK YEAH! lol World Police
The Navy alone could take over the world
Wish I could have been sitting in the room during this reaction as I could answer pretty much every question they asked. There's so much lack of understanding and misinformation, which is what creates anxiety. If the military capabilities and alliances were better understood, it would alleviate a lot of concerns.
I was 6 yrs. old living on a deep South-East U.S. Air Force Base during the Cuban missile crisis. I know personally, young minded non-understanding primal fear where the world is a blur around you not letting you know anything, but I wasn't dumb & had good ears. I Can tell you from experiencing it myself that fear you feel is the great obstruction to your life, you try to be ready to deal with stuff if needed but you must loose that fear, have confidence in the people around you and live normally, the Fear itself is the killer of dreams.
Did you ever notice all wars we fought were started by Democrats? And of course it starts with this fear nonsense. Without that fear, they have no power.
7:38 Hi young lady, I’m a 58 year old US Army Cold War era Veteran. I was both an 11B (Infantry, and a 15D (Lance Missile Crewman), the Lance Missile was a tactical short range ballistic missile launched from a tracked vehicle (or towed trailer) and had a 100 Kiloton nuclear warhead.
You don’t need to freak out about nuclear weapons, my generation did that for you, trust that they most likely won’t ever be used again. There’s an unwritten world policy called M.A.D. “Mutually Assured Destruction”, anyone who launches a nuclear weapon (or uses one) will cause all other countries that possess nuclear weapons to use theirs.
Nobody will ever use a nuke knowing they’ll be causing the end of the world.
This 54 year old Gulf War veteran thanks you for explaining this to her. She broke my heart. Thank you for this and your service ⚓️
unless they got nothing to lose lol
Stealth fighters show up to be about the size of a bumble bee.
What may give them away is the height they are capable of flying.
only if the enemy has a radar advanced enough to detect it.
i once saw a bumblebee in the sky and later realized it was an F-22
Let your angel know that this American will protect her and your family just the same as I would my own daughters if the time calls for it. Its certainly a scary world, but the citizens of America, and our military will be there for our friends.
WELL SAID! I'm glad you are on our side.
For the carriers, we get food from a supply ship while we’re at sea
During WW2. A Japanese general mentioned a invasion of thr west coast. They all started talking about it. Then a Admiral mentioned. Any invasion would be met with a gun behind every blade of grass. The entire idea was scraped after that.
Japanese Navy Admiral . Isoroku Yamamoto
At least from what I understand.
Nobody has ever mentioned that! Thanks for your original contribution!
@majorjared21Yes, Yamamoto had some education and time spent in the US.
"You cannot invade the mainland United States. There would be a rifle behind every blade of grass." - Admiral Yamamoto
They made a new B-2 bomber because they were still detectable when they had to refuel in the air. The new one can fly anywhere in the world and back again without having to refuel making it truly stealthy!
and the only reason they were detectable is because the re-fueling plane isn't stealth.
Mainly got replace because the design wasn't the best with maintenance and longevity they stay grounded alot because of it. B21 saves alot more money and gets way more flight time. nothing wrong with B2 stealth though can destroy any target in the world regardless. Now we just got a more cost efficient one
Everything that you have just learned in this video is absolutely true
I understand your daughter being concerned about the nuclear weapons. I was a child during the height of the cold war and at school, we had nuclear attack drills just like fire drills. The thing she has to keep in mind is the last time those weapons were used against people was almost 80yrs ago. That puts the odds pretty low that kind of thing will happen. Phil
When I was in grade school, in the '60s, teachers didn't just talk about bombs. We did drills to get to the nuclear fall out shelter, the basement cafeteria. There was also "Duck and Cover". Hide under your desk. You didn't just hear about it, you physically participated in it.
Yeah and most of those procedures especially duck and cover were just “bend over and kiss your ass good bye.” if you are in the blast radius of a nuclear weapon detonation, unless maybe a half mile down underground you are a goner.
@@davidkeese3372 Your right.
Another thing people that didn't live through that time may not realize is that many major buildings had "Fall Out Shelter" signs by the entrances. Just like the sign on my school cafeteria entrance did.
@@bintheredonethat oh definitely I wasn’t alive during that time, my parents were and I remember all the stories they would tell me about it.

We had company one weekend and about 7pm we were all outside when something showed up over head. This thing was quite and it looked like it came to a stop then turned and took off so fast that it was gone. We were all so scared and shook up then my brother said "I got that on my phone" and explained that this was a B-2 Spirit. He had seen these on base when he served in the military. It was a good thing someone knew this because we all thought it was the end of the world lol.
If you are picking up bumblebees on your radar, you may be in trouble.

9:20 The Bikini Atoll was a huge testing area for nuclear weapons. There's a fan theory that Bikini Bottom from Spongebob was inspired by the Bikini Atoll and that the reason they're humanoid sea creatures is due to nuclear radiation causing genetic mutations. 😂
Crazy cuz your the first person to point this out, and I'm american but my parents are from the marshall islands. Where bikini atoll is apart of. Very cool
Oh snap!!..

For Layah: It can be scary but we are protected. We have learned from experience that the old saying is so true: "Better to Be Safe Than Sorry". Yes, we are allies with many countries which makes us all that more safe. ❤❤
The cross section of a stealth bomber or fighter is approximately the same as bumble bee👍
The F 22 has a cross-section the size of a bumblebee
The last open air nuclear test done by the US was on November 4th, 1962 and the last underground live test was on September 23, 1992. Since then, we've relied on simulations to test our nukes. We can track nuclear tests across the world with seismic detection equipment, so if we ever did test one, it wouldn't be much of a secret to anyone.
Just prior to that test was a test on May 5, 1962, where the U.S. Ethan Allen, USBN 608, launched a nuclear armed Polaris missile that detonated 13,000 feet above the water. It was said that the warhead hit right in the pickle barrel.

I have two friends from high school who went on to be in the military - one is currently an F-22 Raptor pilot, and the other was a drone operator for a few years. Both of them have some insane stories. Really cool stuff
Once fired it will track and destroy the target. ICBN are a one way trip once launched. No calling them back. That is the name of the game.
When thinking about the altitude ICBMs can reach, consider this: The ISS orbits at approximately 250 miles. An ICBM might fly to an apogee *four times* higher.
I get the military can be scary if you aren’t familiar. You should have a chat with your kids about peace thru strength, power projection and mutually assured destruction. It might help them feel better.
He did sort of reference both MAD and peace through strength to her here…
Tell her that when she's watching these videos, she should think of it as what exists in the world to defend her and her family! This kind of stuff is why she should feel SAFE, not UNSAFE! cheers, great video
It’s nice to see people who seem to like our country especially In todays world where it seems like everyone hates us. Thanks for being interested, God bless!
The MIRV or Multiple Independently targetable, re-entry vehicle is a separate nuclear bomb. My submarine that I was on, the USS John Adams, SSBN 620, was capable of carrying 16 Polaris C3 missiles with10 bombs per missile. The newer Ohio class boomers, (what we call fleet ballistic missile subs), can carry 24 Trident Missiles with 14 warheads per missile. They retrofitted the four oldest Ohio class subs into Guided Missile subs, by replacing the first two missile silos with a egress/ingress shed to deploy Navy SEALS, complete with mini subs, and the remaining 22 silos can carry about 7 tomahawk guided missiles.
We have 190 military bases in Japan. When they surrendered in 1945, they officially became a pacifist country with our guarantee of protecting them and surrounding countries. 80 years we have kept the world from another world War. We believe in freedom and peace and the sanctity of every God given life.

B21 being built now, replaces the B2, and there be a lot more of them
B-21 Raider isn’t replacing the B-2. It’s replacing the B-1B. Meanwhile, the B-52 is getting engine upgrade and continue its role as a cruise missile truck.
Yeah it's replacing the Lancer, but it's basically the B-2's little brother and it literally costs *10* times as less. It's insane. It's like 300 million vs 3.2 *Billion* for each aircraft.
@@Ozai75 Yes. And there’s still the potential for the B-21 to operate alongside “loyal wingmen” drones being developed for NGAD. It is disappointing that The Bone will eventually be retired. I really liked the concept of the B-1X. Converting the B-1 into air-to-air missile truck.
@@TheBongReyes I was really lucky because one time we and my family were driving out west and a B1 did a pass over on us, (it was running his trial) but it was super bitching seeing that thing come out of NO where, seeing it relatively up close, and then take off away again and just disappear. It was really inspiring.

If you’re talking about the US population is 350 million between between the people who are from here and the legal immigrants that come here legally in our own green cards it’s only a portion of that because felons are not allowed to have firearms unless you live in Texas, but even then you cannot have it off your property
When the stealth bombers first started flying (in the 80s)in my area in Michigan people were freaking out and started calling in UFO sightings because the way they can make right angle turns.

Rest assured young lady and everyone there we Americans will protect our allies. It’s nice to hear people from other countries speaking of America in a good way instead of the way some of our non-allies do.
It’s not even about the individual strength of each capability. The real power resides in the US’ ability to integrate those capabilities together and use them simultaneously in coordinated efforts for ridiculously precise strikes. That multiplies their combat effects.
another reason for her not to worry there are us troops and marines in poland not far away and with poland buying a bunch of american gear for air defense they are being called euopean texas checkout habitual linecrosser they have a video about that
There is something like 1.2 guns per each person in the US and over 70% of Americans own guns. They did a poll and with only counting hunters from 3 states along the East Coast the number of hunters alone would make the largest military in the world.
And those are the guns we tell the government about lol
I'm a US Navy veteran , I own over a dozen guns . I and some of my friends reload our own ammunition , and are stocked up with non perishable groceries .
"over 70% of Americans own guns" Wrong.
"hunters from 3 states along the East Coast the number of hunters alone would make the largest military in the world" Wrong again.
As a veteran, we would give our lives to protect our own and our allies.
Hey, we are on your side. We stand with you!
Years ago I was in an airshow and a B2 bomber flew over and it was literally almost overhead before we were able to see it that’s how invisible they are to the naked eye
The atomic weapons used in Japan were bombs, rather than missiles, though. Once fired, missiles can be destroyed in flight, by the sub, silo or wherever it was launched from.
I think the B2 has a radar signature of a sparrow.
Haha... My grandad was a WW2 pilot.... I'm sure he had some plumbs .. great characterization
The B-2 is almost 40 years old........
You guys have got to view videos of how the Navy feeds personnel on the carriers and subs, as well as how the carriers are restocked at sea. For Kat view videos on the air refueling.
Вы прекрасная семья, мира вам, и достатка.
Drone aircraft can be as small as dragon flies or the size of 2 person planes. They have stealth drone ships, helicopters, small sail boats. The small sail boats dont have a working sail but there is a large spike above water. These are used to detect mines. There is extensive use of lasers to replace many explosives. The rail gun is a video you want to see, if you haven't already. The only propellent to get the munitions to the target magnetism. It has no explosive but its incredible powerful. Also, the Air Force is beginning aerial fuel tankers that refill planes in mid air, but they are also unmanned drones.
People were worried about nuclear war going back to the 1950s. Anything is possible, but nuclear war would mean everyone loses (MAD), so that's really kept everyone from wanting to start one, no matter what disagreements nations have had.
Getting in a car accident, being hit by lightning, being attacked by an aggressive person or animal, etc., are vastly more likely dangers to us, and even then, most people make it through life to die in bed at old age.
Our government is notorious for implementing technology into our society to indirectly train kids at the toy level. When developing grenades they made them the exact size and weight as an American baseball which was huge for kids growing up at the time. Footballs and other sports have had their spotlights in weapons produced for our military. Flight simulators were pretty popular teaching kids how to fly which was used by the bombers of 9/11 and a huge controversy of games should be that realistic. Xbox controllers are used for drones in the military another kid prepping technology. Kind of shows you what we will be training for in the future with all the new space games coming out conditioning kids to getting used to flying space crafts and performing dog fight battles in space video games.
First time watching you guys and I love the family vibes. Yes. America is the most powerful empire that has ever existed thus far. Keep the reactions coming. And God Bless ya

If you guys ever find yourselves in NYC, you can tour the cruise missile sub USS Growler as well as the aircraft carrier USS Intrepid. They also have an A-12 the SR-71 predecessor, they have a space shuttle and a concord as well.
Where at? The last I heard the space shuttle was only on temporary display back in 2012.
What's crazy is that you don't realize just how big a Carrier is until you step on one. I got to step on the USS Ranger before she was turned into scrap, and she was a WHOLE LOT SMALLER than the modern Carriers and she was still *astoundingly* huge.
Don't worry Leah. As a born and bred American who was born and raised in Hawaii, knowing what super powered technology has advanced our forces is what keeps me feeling safe....yes, the thought of nuclear warfare does scare the crap out of me too...but with what is known of our forces by other countries definitely gives worldly leaders a chance to think twice when any situation becomes a problem. The USA will try their hardest to always come to a fair judgement with impartiality, and a gathered consensus with allies to make the most thought out judgement before making a move with any strike, down to a single bullet from a man on the ground....always making any argument to avoid conflict if possible....as the USA represents our fair and constitutional stance in government and society alike, always on their toes when dealing with communist, tyranny and dictatorships around the world, always fighting for the rights of the common man, in the US and many smaller nations around the world. That fairness for the common man is what makes me proud being an American, and our goal to be fair and protect others that need it.
Our military might will always rely on the government to discuss, negotiate, and resolve any issue before making any move on another country.
As a kid at the beginning of the cold war, we had "duck and cover" underneath our desks one arm over our eyes and one over the back of our necks, facing away from the windows. As we got older we went into the hallways with backs to the wall that was closest to outside. There was always complete silence. That was in case of a nuclear bomb. By the time i got to high school (1972) we only had fire drills. I live 25 miles away from the Naval War College and 40 miles from Electric Boat where the hulls of the subs are built. Sometimes when you're on the train heading north they have the hanger door open...those things are HUGE
I graduated in 2006. We did this in elementary school and so on too.
California btw
Back in 2016, a team of researchers at Penn State, funded by the US Navy, began working on a submarine prototype that could achieve supersonic speeds underwater. And they've now decided to explore the possibility of turning this into reality with modern-day technology. It will take years to develop, but in theory it is possible. Can you imagine a submarine coming after you faster than the speed of sound?
wouldnt be smart honestly. the ocean isn’t without obstacles like the sky. you got big ass whales… ice bergs… reefs. etc. maybe fast, but not that fast. wouldnt be smart atleast
Carrying such nuclear weapons is more of a deterrent strategy more than anything. That’s why videos like this are made really. If the US kept it all secret I would be kind of worried.
Edit: As a military member, I can assure you, we do not want to use these weapons or go to war as much as any normal civilian person, we do have families and loved ones we care about as well.
i have back ground in defense and if civilians know about a system....its obsolete and all the really cool stuff is secret. the first stealth flew in the 70s and was kept secret for almost 20 years.
I've always heard that our military members hate war more than the civilian population because, they know the price that must be paid in blood. They stand between war and the ones they love.
@@steveg8102I wouldn’t say all of it is obsolete, we still fly B52s that were developed in the 50’s.😂 and most stuff that is kept secret is in research and development phase. Most operational things are known to the public. Yes, the inner workings of such systems might not be out in public and kept as secret, but a lot of it is known for deterrence purposes. F around find out strategy.
@@steveg8102 you watch to many movies 😂 most systems that are kept secret are in the development phase and if civilians never heard of them, it probably never made it to the operational side, so that seems pretty obsolete and uncool if it can’t even make it out of the development stage and be used in real world scenarios.
A few good quotes for you:

"It's better to be a soldier in a garden, than a gardener on a battlefield" meaning it's better to know how to fight and not need it, than need to fight and not knowing how.

Not sure if anyone else answered. All missiles launched (at least US ones) have a disarming code to cancel the attack.
We used to have nuclear weapons that were carried like a backpack called SADM's...
Nuclear warhead designs haven't been conducted for real in decades. Several of the top 500 supercomputers in the world are owned by the US Department of Engineer and are used to simulate nuclear detonations.
Land ICBM missiles are fired three times per year with a missile being randomly selected from the active missile fields, the warhead(s) removed and then driving it to coastal California where they're test launched into a really big patch of US-owned Pacific Ocean. Customarily all launches of this kind of thing are preceded by notifications to the other nuclear powers so they know it's not an active attack, but that's how they ensure the missiles themselves work.
replenishment ships I believe transfer food and jet fuel to the carriers, not as sexy as combat ships, but really interesting
the nukes take 30 minutes or less from US to Russia over the North Pole. watch The Day After which uses the Kansas and Missouri area in a hypothetical nuclear attack in the early 1980s for the setting. it gives a good portrayal of a nuclear war including the after-war effects. most of the time you see the nukes at the end of the movie. this is more in middle part of the movie.
