    I had the same exact problem and wound up biting the bullet and renting a car. I know a lot of travel guides swear by using the train but driving was way better in terms of saving time and being able to see more places

    You should go back to Lugano, Locarno, Bellinzona, Verzasca for a few days. People just blaze right through there on the train, and really miss out.

    great video as usual, Keep it up.
    You guys should do more hostels , when you visit the more popular European cities, cut down on cost, when you can. Of course you will need to do hotel rooms from time to time for privacy. Note most hostels if not all do offer private rooms.

      @LisaAndJosh  Před 2 lety +1

      We will definitely look into this - thank you! I think also just choosing our cities more carefully is really the key - we've found we have a lot more fun in cities that more match our budget

    Italian trains are always late or delayed 🙄

    • @bachisio2140
      @bachisio2140 Před 2 lety +2

      Well, the whole Switzerland has the same population of Lombardy and is as large as Lombardy and Veneto put together. It is much easier to be on time there than in Italy. Our trains can go as far as to Sicily riding on a ferry boat for that, more than 1,000 km away from Milan. Going through the Appennini mountains and calling at very important cities like Bologna, Firenze, Roma, Napoli, Salerno, Reggio Calabria, .... Can you see the difference? And it is not always true that Swiss trains are always on time! But yeah, Switzerland is on another world, as is Lombardy from the rest of Italy and in the same way my home is better that yours.... So generalizations do not always work!

      @@LisaAndJosh Yeah. It may well happen. And we are all very sorry when it happens. As an Italian caring for hospitality and courtesy, I only hope you were offered appropriate assistance on that occasion. Anyway, everybody is welcomed to our country particularly in this emergency period. We're all struggling to make things go for the best. We do sincerely apologise if something may go wrong.
