      White Americans are going to keep doing what they have been doing for centuries, and then have cognitive dissonance when called out on the carpet. But at the same time, for a sports league that is two-thirds black, the black players are not putting any pressure on the owners to consider black coaches.
      I hear sports commentators and the public bringing up the subject of the lack of black coaches, but never the black players. We can't want the change more for the black NFL players than the black NFL players. By not saying anything, they tacitly are telling the owners they are good with their hiring practices.

Manning and Brees played the entirety of their careers in domes. Go look at what they did when they went outside (in/or out of the playoffs) The only quarterback that played during the majority of Brady’s career that could be measured on par with him statistically that played in that kind of climate is Rodgers. I've literally been thinking for a while now and have drawn blanks. If someone knows one, let me know. Football is that way. It's why the hiring has always seemed so circular once you make that first breakthrough. Because it takes so much just to get there. Beyond just the Xs and Os, it takes time to figure out how to be a leader of men too. Managing your own staff, egos of grown men who may earn more than you and are more famous than you and coordinating with ownership and the front office. There's no such thing as a savant with something like this. It's always a learning process.

    He was fined for not reporting it to league office after he found out about it.
    Chris and Rob need to stop. Just stop with the cheating angle.
    If they're gonna take that route then i bet they dont have a problem with Bilichick still coaching.
    McDaniels has had more time to learn and hes worked with Brady and ran the patriots offense with Mac Jones and when Brady was out that one year.
    He would be mile and miles ahead of Greg Olsen as a oc. Seriously would you have rather had Olsen calling the playoff game against the Bengals or McDaniels.
    Well we know what we got with Olsen.
    As for turning the Colts job down.
    So what.

    • @jubei187
      @jubei187 Před 2 lety

      Nah, Rob definitely has a hate boner for Bellicheck coaching. The reason. He said the Brady/Bellicheck duo isn't the greatest primarily because of cheating. Also, the problem with your job analysis is that other people lives were affected besides his own. I wouldn't care if McDaniels changed his mind last minute, and that's it, but he started hiring people for his staff. Those people resigned their positions to join him in Indianapolis only to find out he changed his mind. They were lucky the Colts still paid those assistants or they would have been assed out. That is why McDaniels is a bad idea. He thinks his decisions are his alone not the global effect it has on an organization.

    Brady was brought up under Belichick and his staff. Brady GREW under them. He did NOT come to the Pats as a badass rookie. He was basically Mac Jones with a better defense and it was the perfect marriage for Brady to be the QB of a great franchise. Folks giving him credit for the Pats success aren't seeing the big picture because Brady wasn't that guy early in his career. He was part of a franchise that was extremely well coached on both sides of the ball and they didn't beat themselves in the biggest games during the playoffs. It's like when people talking about Pippen being the reason for MJ getting 6 titles. They all forget that Pippen came into the league as a rookie that came off the bench after a couple of years, and how his game grew while playing with MJ. Pippen wasn't an all-star when he got to the Bulls and Brady was a 6th round pick. Credit the Pats coaching staff with teaching Brady the system and being with a great franchise that gave him what he needed to elevate his play. Brady put in all the work to be the best QB that he could be and simply learned the game at the highest level from the QB position that only got better as the years went by.
    Winning that title with the Bucs didn't make him the reason for the Pats success (he was a critical part of it). He joined a stacked offensive team with a SB level defense that only needed him to not turnover the ball and they got it all cleared up after their bye week before going on the win streak through the last 4 games of the season all the way up to the SB. Brady knew what he was doing by joining that Bucs because it made them instant SB contenders given the weapons (which they added AB and Gronk) on both sides of the ball. Belichick won 7 games with dudes sitting out the season and Cam coming to the team late after Brady left for Tampa. Then he wins 10 games and make the playoffs this year with a rookie QB just one year removed from Brady. Yeah, I would say that Belichick and his staff were largely responsible for the Pats success.
