- One of the first things we realized when riding our RT home was that it was in dire need of a backrest. Show Chrome Accessories has developed two different size backrests to accommodate your needs. Both backrests have 1" vertical and 3" horizontal adjustments, and feature a quick detach system to easily take on and off the backrest as needed. Each backrest includes a free removable storage pouch that mounts to the backside of the backrest to store small items like passenger chapstick, cell phone, etc. This product is Made in the USA and designed to match the factory of the OE Can-Am Spyder seat. Installation is straight forward and takes around 30 minutes from start to finish.

Bradon Great video unfortunately I can not get the seat to disconnect from the Spyder the bolts are out, plug and shock disconnected, but the seat will not budge from the back. ANY SUGGESTIONS THANKS
Can you elaborate on how to adjust the seat forward? I understand it's supposed to be able to be moved three inches forward. Thank you.
I bought a 2016 RT with a backrest already installed. How do I adjust it forward?
While not hard, it's definitely not as quick as you make it seem! But, having this visual helped.
It always looks fast and easy when you watch someone do something that has been layed out, done step by step and redone as needed in order to git it right, then edited to show only the best takes.
And doing something for the first time is slow going because you are trying to make sure you don't mess it up. Especially when you are working on your high price toy. 😉😉

Will this fit the comfort seat
can you install this in older spyder models, 2008 - 2009? In my seat there is no premade hole for backrest...so its going to get ugly when installing that.

I did it... but when I reconnected the shock, I couldn't get the clamp back on. Any suggestions?

I appreciate the video. Definitely a bit rougher than it looks and a bit more tongue biting than it appears but darn good video.
This backrest has been specifically designed for the stock non comfort seat. In order to get this mounted our install instructions would not work for you for the cutting and aligning of the seat. I do believe that others have successfully mounted this item, however we have never mounted one to the comfort seat.
Looks like it really cuts down on the room the passenger has? How easy is it to take off if you don't want to use it while carrying a passenger?
Hello Erica, these actually feature a "quick detach" feature for easy removal if needed.
@@Slingmods Could you explain a little clearer the "quick detach" feature? You don't show it in the video.
The instructions that came with it were crap. There weren’t way to really differentiate the bolts, the 13mm wrench you need aren’t mentioned in the instructions. You have to physically puncture the material and underlying foam material to get at where the screws go. None of the tool sizes on the instructions line up. You aren’t even following the instructions as they’re written. The only saving grace is the one exploded view of everything!
