This video answered so many of my questions. Now I know if I buy a 5500w gen I won't have any worries of overloading. We have a 30ft 2021 Gulfstream Kingsport Ultra lite with 30a 3 prong plug. My Surge protector is a 30a 3 prong plug to a 50a 4 prong. To plug into the gen, what adapter would I use? I'm new at this travel trailer stuff...Thanks in advance!

I have this generator but with the remote start. Tested my rv with fridge, all lights, battery charger, a 13.5k and 15k AC unit, the generator ran it all and never went to the red 100 percent except briefly when kicking on the compressor on the second ac unit. So far very pleased. Not as quiet as the Generac iq3500 I had before but really wanted power to run a second AC.

I like how the closed framed inverter generators are quieter. However the open frame inverter generators have better terrain wheels and since there open framed they allow air to cool the engine better in extreme heat. Both are great. Awesome videos.

Still jealous of your lawn. I have Bermuda grass and it's just now starting to green up after this horrible winter. Feels like this has been the coldest winter since moving to Georgia in 2005. Another well done video. Believe it or not, I can run one 15k A/C in my RV with my little Westinghouse iGen2200. Yeah, I know many of you will say I'm full of poo-tin. But, if I turn everything off, including the battery charger, it will run. It does struggle when the compressor comes on but it does run. Before y'all get too excited, I've only done this a couple of times when the heat was just unbearable after a long hike and only because I didn't have my 2nd genny to parallel with. That 1st genny I bought 3 years ago still runs great and starts every time I need it. I tell you, good maintenance is the key. Change the oil even more often then you should, spark plug once a year, and drain the gas when not being used. I bet it'll last as long as a Honda. Oh boy, I'm gonna hear it from Honda owners. 😁

This genny is light and quiet . so far I have not run it on gas and dont intend to unless i get in a situation where my four 20lb propane tanks are empty .
The next step for Champion would be to come out with a 7000 - 9000 watt quiet dual fuel inverter generator that produces both 240v and 120v. Throw in bluetooth load monitoring and it would sell like gangbusters

Where they got 4500 is beyond me and I assure you nothing will start at 4500 surge. Lets see you test that. It will fail. It's all BS marketing crap talk. They're new 4650 has the same inverter with the same specs. Every single manufacturer is listing BS about their generators. "Every single manufacturer is listing BS"...with the exception of Honda; their generators do what they're advertised to do. As far as the 30 amp outlet's limitations, you can also use the other 3-prong 20 amp plugs WHILE you're using the 30 amp outlet if you choose; you're not limited to the 30 amp only. When I run my two EU2200's in parallel connected to my house transfer switch, I'm using the Companion's 30 amp receptacle, which of course is limited to 3600 watts, so there's no way I could approach the advertised 4400 watt surge limit of the two. However sometimes I'll run an additional cord from one of the 20 amp plugs directly to my garage door openers, allowing me to utilize more than the 3600 running watts if need be. That option is available.
