i'm in 6th gr Lew Wallace albuquerque 1957-58 (110 yrs after being published) in Mr Sandoval's class/our class is singing this...following our songbooks and public radio broadcast....and has stuck in my head forever (176 yr after publication) and which I have sung like a lullaby to my children n grandchildren, and self. LOL And just a few yrs ago because of a weather storm report about the TBB, I learned there was a TombigB. 😍

@BAM-kc7uy. For me it was 4th grade with Mrs Osher Alexander Hamilton School, San Diego. Our tune was a bit different, lighter. Can't find it with our tune. I often find myself humming it as I'm working along.
