- It's always interesting having to edit down the flights with Mark as there is always such good banter. This flight certainly showed just how quickly the AEROS/Flyight NiNE can accelerate away, but I'll leave that for you to see in the video.

Hi Neil, thank you for your kind words, but I don't think I'm not quite in the same league as Ben but I hope I can demonstrate the best of Flylight and AEROS products. It's still going to be an epic adventure, I hope I can do the vlog justice.

Yes, we are a right pair. The joy of continuous Comms makes things easier. I'm not sure what to expect at SunnFun, one of life's adventures.

Yep, I did try and keep calm while doing it, but the giggles just burst out.
The 9 does look amazing. Something about its aerodynamics just works really well. When you accelerated it looked like you'd hit reheat.
Have a brilliant time in Sun and Fun. It should not only be a great experience but hopefully also a great boost to your channel.
I only realised how quickly it accelerated when I came to edit the video. I've been told it accelerates quickly on the ground as well.

I chickened out from popping by the Sywell hanger as there was a no authorized personel on the gate from the Aviators Hotel yesterday there was a microlight took off at 0845 ish

Oh yes very much.. Where else can you sit with a coffee or beer and be a few feet from a two seater Spitfire.. Also, its such a nostalgic place to stay and watch all sorts of aircraft over a two feet fence. Shame you had not been about. @@GolfFoxtrot22

Great video. Looks like you're getting the hang of the new wing. I went to Sun & Fun last year...but can't make this year... that sucks. When you say "the Nine is a beast"... is that a good or bad beast? Anyway, I recently put my order in on a Nine... guess I'll know soon enough for myself🤣
Hi Stone, definitely in a good way. It's got loads of power and performance to match the thrust. It's not better than the Adam/Peabee, just different. I'm still getting dialled into it.
Thats more food for thought 🤔 SSDR (bivvy bee , Nine) or 2 seat full fat 🤯 That would make an interesting comparison 😃
Hi Andy, yes, very much so. The big full fat machines will always have the carrying capacity but running costs to match. I did think long and hard about buying a twin seat and going the permit route but costs put me off.
@GolfFoxtrot22 I'm currently thinking long and hard about exactly that. The only thing in my mind is passenger carrying capacity, other than that it's a no brainer to go for the lighter machine for me.
@@andrewlang8575 it's a difficult one. But I don't know many that continue to take passengers after the novelty wears off. Some places do fly hire on flexwings. Just a thought.

I'm undecided but ultimately I'd like the best of both worlds flying low and slow, soaring thermals with engine off and having the option of doing some x-country flying. However, I have my paramotor for low and slow flying.
Most of my flying will be local and solo but I would like the option of being able to do x-country sight seeing and fly with others should I ever meet another pilot to fly with.
I guess my biggest goal would be to extend the times I can fly. So hopefully flying these midday isn't as big of an issue as it is on the paramotor. I live in the desert and the air can get quite rowdy out here.
The thermals start to be too much for me on the paramotor by 9-10 am. I'm OK with the big bumps while flying but the possibility of a collapse is always in the back of my mind. Another concern is that we always have wind gusts here and they really freak me out.
Between the strong thermals and the gusts I'm constantly stressing out that the wing is going to collapse to have any fun.
I know it's mostly in my head but I'm hoping a rigid wing could help me relax a little more when things start to get a little spicy once you start getting closer to midday.
How is midday flying on one of these? Or is it not recommended like a paramotor?
@@TruthHurts2u no worries at all. The Adam is a thermal capable wing, which is lighter in feel with a good 45mph cruise speed. The NiNE is very much a touring wing 55mph cruise that you point in the right direction and go, but with a bit of play in the background. I fly all year round, all day long so you'll have no worries there worrying about collapsing. From what you have said, I think the Peabee2 with the Adam wing would be the one to go for, but these are just my thoughts on what you have written.
@@GolfFoxtrot22 It looks like it's not going to happen. The US dealer is adding $5,000 usd to the list price. I'm sure some of that is shipping but that makes the NINE $25k - $26k usd and the Peabee is at $21k usd which puts them just out of my price range. Especially once I factor in the cost of training which is another $5 - $6k. 😭
We need to set up a Flylight factory here in the US to bring the cost down before it's a realistic option for me. I guess I'll just have to keep my eyes open for a used Northwing ATF or Aeros ANT to fulfill my dream of flying a trike.

Hi Chan, there are various options but they start from around £16500, but I know prices are going up due to the engine prices changing. The Flylight details are in the description and Google Flylight trikes and you'll be able to get them from there. I hope that helps.

Hi Brandon, it has Bluetooth which connects to my phone but the radio is corded.
I want to find a good headset that will be completely wireless, ideally with Bluetooth intercom to a passenger, and a Bluetooth connection to aviation radio! (And as a bonus if it could also have a way of recording all the audio for CZcams videos)
@@brandonfasan I don't think a commercial system exists that will do that and be reliable.
@@GolfFoxtrot22 I guess that would explain why I haven't found one yet, and at the same time what a great business idea for somebody, it shouldn't be all that hard, and every PPG and ultralight pilot would probably switch pretty quick to that system if it were decent
@@brandonfasan some have tried but the main issue is batteries and keeping a reliable connection. Even BOSE headsets still use cables and those headsets are nearly £1300.
