What are the side floats made of ? If it is a plastic pipe, please tell us its diameter and wall thickness.

traditionally they are giant bamboo, approximately 6-7 inches diameter. Some builders and owners have started using large PVC pipe (similar diameter), which is more rot resistant but heavier
