  • Some may think that all electric vehicles are the same but truth be told, electric motorcycles are a different creature altogether when compared to electric cars. All things considered, is Malaysia ready for electric motorcycles?
Join Chief Chapree as he puts the Blueshark R1 electric scooter through its paces all over Klang Valley. This is the first electric motorcycle review on SoyaCincau.com.

the range is far too low to be daily rideable. but swappable batteries is a great idea, moving forward because i don't wanna be idling at the gas station

imho, swappable battery so far is the best idea to reduce range anxiety + extend the range of fully electric motorcycles

I’m working in Kedah now and I want an ebike that could at least travel from SP to AOR daily. The range is quite low and the swappable battery infrastructure is still very much lacking outside of Klang Valley.

Great review. Looking forward to more electric motorcycle reviews in the future. Maybe Yadea E8S Pro next?

Thanks for checking out this review! 🙏
Also thank you for the suggesting the Yadea. The team will consider and then, we’ll see if there’s any opportunity to review the E8S Pro 🙋‍♂️

Great review as always! The best development for EV bike in the market right now, but financially not great for consumer. I hardly seen one in Penang (actually not even 1) and I can see the reason why. Swappable battery was such a breakthrough idea but the battery subscription system is a massive paywall that hurt the sales. If I want to get electric bike, I want the convenience of ice bike. U dont see people paying honda/yamaha etc. monthly subscription to have the fuel tank built in. The price is still too high for lesser offerring than the competition. And let's face it, no one really give a damn about "green-benefit" of any EV, people switch from ice bike to ebike for financial reason no. 1 (less maintenance, no monthly fuel cost etc.)

Electric bike is a scam in Malaysia. 50km at top speed becomes 200km bike magically. Its scooter not bike.
