Shallow Stream Barbel Fishing (Underwater Take!)

- In this video i take to the local river / creek to do some barbel fishing with the feeder rod and halibut pellets. I also positioned an underwater camera to capture one of the takes as it happens! Awesome session and believe it or not i managed 3 other barbel that i didnt even put in the video.

As a proud and fellow ginger fisherman, I'd like share that I also caught a pike, about 7lb the same way! It was about 12 years ago. The pike followed a chub of a couple pound into the net and I scooped them up got the rest on film. Love your work sir, up the Gingers!

Some big fish in that swim, i caught my PB of 7;11 a month or 2 ago. I smashed that the other day with a monster of 15;2. Start taking your scales matey hahahaha
Lovely fish, had a fish for barbel on the river don in Doncaster yesterday only managed 2 barbel all day but they all count and noone seems to be able to hold the fish in the area after catching one 🤔

Hate seeing fish in a bad shape cos of big dinlo's that cant be arsed to learn how to fish properly see it all to often in the rivers and lakes near me
Entertaining and informative video as always. You're a natural presenter and the editing is always good. The triple catch was just one of those weird moments that happens to anglers, but is rarely documented and never believed! However, throwing that hook in the river was a dick move. No extra effort to put it in you own tackle box than to throw it back in the river, and then having the incident make it past the editing seems strange.
there are good fly fishermen in england and almost nobody fishes for barbel...it's not at all understandable...
"you don't need big hooks for barbel" pretty poor statement, the bait size should match the hook size.. So if someone was fishing an 18mm bait or larger on a hair you'd hardly use a size 12... I'm not disagreeing that you don't need big hooks, but it's bait size dependent..
You have a real problem with your right and left hand when you fight a fish 😂 ! WTF explain why do you cast your hooks like that in nature ?
