Golf Lesson: FLOAT In Transition (Fixed Pull Hook In 3 Swings!)

  • Hey everybody, here is a summary of a recent lesson with a rising junior golfer I coach here in Arizona. In this golf lesson, I worked with Randy on a float move for a smooth transition with his hands and arms staying up and back to create a more fluid, dynamic downswing. For him, the struggle coming into it was the dreaded pull hook, but in just 3 swings we fixed the problem and he began creating a more shallow golf swing delivering the club more from the inside! Hope you enjoy this lesson recap.

    great video and great timing! Was working on this on the range this weekend. The sensation I was experiencing was the hands felt weightless for a moment and are pulled down into position (effortlessly) as the transition occurs. Really helped with sequencing and amazing how the ball jumps off the club. To use a baseball analogy, it's the different between pitching and aiming. In pitching the body does most of the work and in aiming the arm forces it.

    Another great video
and that kid has an amazing swing!
    The key to it all is to understand that the microsecond pause, and the related feels are so subtle
they’re almost imperceptible, unless you’re looking for them.
    I learned how to feel it by starting with half swings and moving from there to full swings

    You bet it fixed it! I have the exact same miss. To help me see exactly the difference, I played Randy's video side by side so I could compare his before and after positions. It is so clear now what positions your 3 feels create to fix this. Thanks for sharing Milo!

    Hey Milo great Video! So what’s the right moment In the sequence when u apply forces by your shoulders and hands. I guess best way is when you have accomplished the counter forces of a stable left side or straight left leg and ground forces?!?

    Milo, if I draw a line on my trail knee at address, do you like to see that knee stay behind the line throughout the swing, or will it go over it a bit in downswing?

    Damn that mid can rotate

  • @sbtrooper1
    @sbtrooper1 Pƙed rokem

    One school of golf instruction thought is that the hands and arms float at the top before being brought down and through by the weight shift and turning of the lower body. Another is to consciously turn the right shoulder down and through feeling like you want the right shoulder to beat the club head to the ball (even though it doesn't). How can they both be true?

    • @MiloLinesGolf
      @MiloLinesGolf  Pƙed rokem

      Because there are many ways to skin a cat and every body feels different things in motion

    • @davidmcnamara3243
      @davidmcnamara3243 Pƙed 8 měsĂci

      Both are true, but you have to surrender to gravity, in order to put you in these positions, without muscular manipulation.
      You need to fall into the correct position , at transition, with every body part, moving at the speed of gravity.
      Gravity, is the only speed constant, we have and any attempt to move an individual 2:38 body part, with muscular manipulation, will move it out of phase and decouple the clubbed, from the naturally rotating mass !

    Would you agree if the club shallows too much, you will push fade or push hook?

    Good vid. Milo, suggestion for you...wear a glove when you're filmed, its easier for us to see what you're doing with your hands. Thx.

    Video content is good as always but kind of overshadowed by the net you’re using and the experience I’ve had with that net. I watched you and Henry go at it in that net (Rukket SPDR) with Driver months ago and assumed (yeah made an ass of myself with that ASSumption) the net was strong; also because you guys endorse it.. So I ordered one and have never hit anything but my 50 degree gap wedge EVER , and I’m on my 4th net from blowing holes in all of them.. There won’t be a 5th. The Net Return Pro Series V2 (the net Bryson uses and is guaranteed for 250,000 shots and ball speeds up to 225mph) is what I’m getting and you might consider letting your customers know that if they have any kind of club head speed ; that would be the correct way to go.. I can’t wait to actually hit other clubs!!!!
