  • So I ask a lot of questions, hoping that many of you will share your experiences as well. And in the new year, I'm hoping to start interviewing other neurodivergent voices in the community.
As many of you have already might know, my first guest is my husband, the wonderful, talented, and handsome David Rivera.
This is Pt 2 of the interview with David. Stay tuned for pt 3 next week.
What gives you sensory euphoria or joy?
What brings you the most peace and relaxation?
ID: David, a medium brown skinned human, with long, curly, salt and pepper hair, and Lyric, a pale skinned nonbinary person with short green, teal, and purple hair with shaved sides and jet black roots are sitting on a sofa next to one another in an RV. There is an open window behind them. The words "Sensory Euphoria" float in front of them in pale teal and green letters.

    - Lyric
It's important that we all understand, that as Autistic People, there is not a unified autistic experience. We all have different opinions and very different experience, and I think it's great to share those things.
If you're a NeuroTypical watching, remember that this is just my experience as a NeuroDivergent Person.
Hopefully, this video will inspire other NeuroDivergent People to share their experiences as well, how they relate, and maybe even do not relate in the comments below.
I encourage you to listen to, and read, as many Autistic experiences as possible to best understand Autistic People.
I would LOVE to see more Autism vlogs by #ActuallyAutistic People.

Seeing you guys all happy and stim fills me with joy!!! I barely ever see autistics being their true happy selves and experiencing the sensory goods because of the stigma around it so I always feel relief and kind of seeing myself in you guys ♥ take care, Lyric and David!

Some of David’s favorite sounds remind me of fall leaves crunching under my feet. Love it.

YES!!! I love device boxes, especially when they have that velvety smooth coating. I like smooth rocks too.... I have a couple tumbled Apache Tears that I love. I have a spinner ring too. I like clicking sounds. The sound of water is SO relaxing. My sleep sounds are either lapping ocean waves or rain.

What a joyful video! You are both so precious. I can totally relate to the smooth textured thing - especially tumbled stones and crystals, feeling them on my face or with my mouth. Bliss 😊 And yes, the sound of water too! And for me, the rippling movements, and interplay of light on the water as well. Definitely euphoric!
