I loved that moment! It foreshadowed Apocalypse early on so it’s already in your mind he’ll show up at some point. Also, it was funnier to me that Wolverine was more terrified of a baby being born than Apocalypse 😅

I'd go as far as saying magneto was the main protagonist of x men 97, stole the show every moment he came on screen, insane voice acting, bars after bars, all his fights were well animated and his osts, my god😭

I actually want more marvel animated shows, I know there is a spider man animated series reboot coming and I hope it's as good as x men 97 😂
They won't have the same impact as X-Men unfortunately. X-Men is Marvel's best property. The characters, the relationships, the subject matter, all of it. Especially the weight it held in the 90's has been brought back and supercede with X-Men '97.
This was a one of a kind thing, making a bunch more cause it's successful is a bad idea. Look at the mcu

You are right, the original series was, for the most, episodic. The original series also lacked character arch's that carried over from one episode to another.

Jean was not knocked out or fainted. They all got hit and went flying back and fell to the ground! Storm didn’t get hands in because she was knocked out last episode 😂. Then she was caught by his sentinels and only got away thanks to Jean/Phoenix.

This episode was a great way to end season 1. The end is in reference to the Rise of Apocalypse timeline and also the adventures of Jean grey and Cyclops and also the start of apocalypse new horsemen in the current timeline
And the start of the Days of future past time line in the present.
Peter lost MJ in 1996 and then in 1998 was going to look for her since this is 1997, so this is either before he lost the original her or her clone or they will be retconning stuff

@@justsomeguywithamustache2901 we don't know exactly the time frame in X-Men 97. What we know is, that Professor X Attempted murder was in November 1996. At the beginning of 97, Jean was in her 9th month pregnant. So the show started at least in August 1997. In episode 10 it could have been already 1998, therefore, this does not necessarily have to be a mistake.

X men 97 was better than every anime I've seen so far this year, yes I'm even putting it over solo leveling, one piece and frieren🤷♂️
Season 2 is set, but there's a problem. The writer who made this based on the comics was fired. So it's a high chance it will start falling in quality. The previous writer did make part of season 2. The question is how much
Luckily, they stated that they’re going to follow with what the previous writer had set up or will carry out his work so hopefully it’ll stick.

I don't get it. If it has been established that Storm and Jean in this version are Omega Level, why couldn't them together stop the asteroid? Even better why couldn't they stop Bastain. I know he blasted everyone and they got knocked down, but not enough ,either one of them couldn't do anything. I mean if someone I view as my kid wears about to get their arm ripped off and I had telekinesis. I would be ripping Bastain apart, limb from limb.
Yeah and I believe they are both supposed to be stronger than Magneto. They both should have been able to do much better against Bastion. Also both should have been able to move the asteroid all by themselves. That is where some of the writing is not accurate. Oh well 🤷♀️
@@JadeK297 You know what. This is supposed to be 97 of what the animated show, so I will give the benefit of the doubt. In the OG show Storm's Omega feat was I Stormfront. Healing a dying planet. Jean never got to show off her Omega level really. Rogue is stronger but idk lifting an asteroid level of strength.
