Allegedly the artist thought that everybody in the company ignored his work, to prove that, he drew her boobs every issue a little bit bigger, and he was like, see, nobody looks at my stuff! For the ones I know had live action adaptations: Mr Freeze, Frost, Captain Cold, Grundy, Grodd, Manta, Catman (villain?), Deadshot, Cheetah, King Shark, Bane, and Boomerang. Black Spider is one I've been curious about, being African-American, part of the League of Assassins (aka NINJA!), and having versions similar to Spider-Man (Young Justice version, mainly).

JABY, Power Girl is technically Superman's cousin. She originally is a future version of Supergirl.

Clancey Brown, Tim Daley and Kevin Conroy were the voices of Lex, Batman and Superman in the DCAU's Justice League and Justice League Unlimited. Clancey Brown was also Lex in Superman the animated series as well as a bunch of other animated movies. He's heralded as the best Lex Luthor outside of Michael Rosenbaum who also played Lex for around a decade in Smallville.
Tim Daly was the voice of Superman in Superman: The Animated Series as well as a few other animated films like Superman/Batman: Apocalypse and Justice League: Doom. George Newbern was the voice of Superman in the Justice League Animated Series and Justice League Unlimited and voiced him in Superman vs. The Elite, Superman/Shazam: The Return of Black Adam, Justice League vs. The Fatal Five, both of the Injustice games, and DC Universe Online.
Their voices are very similar and can easily be mistaken for one another until you see the credits.
Add to that list of reprised roles from the DCAU: CCH Pounder as Amanda Waller.
Historically, Superman and Batman have always been best friends. It only after the release of the Dark Knight Returns in the 80s when people started pitting them against each other and that book lead to them being estranged in the Post Crisis continuity of DC comics. They eventually became best friends again in the 90s, after the death of Superman and the breaking of Batman by Bane. By 2000, Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman were all best friends and running the Justice League again (they weren't part of the Justice League after Crisis)
Zack Snyder made Batman and Superman enemies in his movies because he doesn't understand or respect these characters or the purpose of their fight in the Dark Knight Returns. He said during the production of Watchmen that he hates Superman and would kill him if given an opportunity and he did just that in his second Superman movie. Snyder has done more damage to these characters than anyone ever has in their 80+ year history.

I can’t wait for James Gunn to restore faith and respect in his new DCU because it’s sorely needed especially for people like Jaby who are unfortunately only familiar with the DCEU which is by far the worst adaptation of DC in general.

Yes!!! I was just about to post this, lol. If you guys liked Public Enemies, then you are going to love Apocalypse. It is one of my favorite DC animated movies, and Supergirl is such a badass in it.
One of my favorite DC Animated movies of all-time. They did a kick-ass job adapting the Ed McGuinness art style from this legendary storyline.
I love this movie because it perfectly captures the beautiful friendship between Bruce and Clark

My standout moment was Kevin Conroy's "WOW" when looking at the robot. So glad I had the chance to express my appreciation to him at the Rhode Island ComicCon in 2018. RIP.
I met him, with my kids, at the Mohegan Sun terrificon in 2017. Quiet man, but a nice guy. The definitive Batman.

I'm not a DC fan; but to my knowledge, Batman and Superman usually are best friends in most all continuities except for the live-action films. They also both harbor a deep respect for each other, and both think that the other is a better man. I read a dialogue once, between Superman/Lois and Batman/Catwoman, where they were both talking about how being a hero is a responsibility for them, but a conscious choice for the other. Batman says that Superman could bring the world to its knees but he chooses to be a hero; Supes says that his powers make being a hero his responsibility, but Batman's just a man who chooses to fight for what he believes.
There was another panel I read where Bruce meets the Kent family, and Pa Kent immediately figures out that Bruce is Batman because Clark didn't have many people he'd trust with his family; that they never heard that Clark was friends with Bruce Wayne, but they'd heard all about Batman.
I distinctly remember the line "Clark may be able to leap tall buildings, but he thinks you can walk on water, son. I shouldn't be telling you this, it's worse than showing you his baby pictures - but I'm pretty sure you're his hero."

It is strange how people forgot the Batman is a ninja with detective skills.
And no thanks to the movies and retcons that play him down, but many people don't realize that Batman is supposed to be a super genius. Depending on the author, even Lex Luthor has stated that Batman is the only one on Earth with an intellect that exceeds his own.

15:36 Who is that? Oh that's Mongul, alien ruler of Warworld, and one of Superman's deadliest adversaries. Warworld is a place where you fight in an arena while he spectates. Superman dethroned him and he's had it out for him since. It is a little unusual for Mongul to be on Earth. At one point in the comics, Mongul was temporarily reformed and went to train Superman in how to fight at a point when it seemed like Superman's powers were on the rise and seemed limitless. It was an interesting time.

I'll never get over how Metallo could've/ should've been the final villain of BvS instead of shoehorning Doomsday. Not only was the formula for him to arrive in the movie, but we could've gotten a live action version of Superman and Batman vs. Metallo. Would've made so much sense and would be so much better than what we got in BvS.

Batman and Superman stories are so much more fun that Batman vs Superman
So here's the deal with Power Girl and her boobs. She originally had regular massive comic book boobs but then her creators decided to keep making them bigger until editorial stepped in and it went on way too long so she became known as the comics character is gigantic boobs.
She's also a version of Supergirl from a different dimension so she has a familial relationship with Clark. Sometimes, Power Girl is just Supergirl's alias when she decides to get out from under Clark's shadow, like in this movie.

Unlike the others, Major Force is no hero. He's actually Captain Atom's arch enemy.
The guy with electricity powers is Black Lightning. Also, Static Shock is the name of the cartoon; the character is just Static.
Clancy Brown also voiced Lex in the Superman animated series and Justice League animated series in the DCAU. He's in Starship Troopers, Shawshank Redemption, Carnivale, voices Surtur in the MCU, is in Star Wars (The Mandalorian, Rebels and Asoka) and much more.

I know others have commented, but Power Girl is an Alternate Reality version of Supergirl, but instead of coming to earth around the same age she left kyrpton (usually teenage or early 20s), She instead aged up a bit during her space ride to earth, making her more adult. So you usually don't see Power Girl alongside Supergirl.
and since Supergirl is Superman's Cousin, so is Power Girl, so no Superman x Power Girl.
Funny thing! this is also where I first learned about Power Girl lmao.

I'm sure its been said but FYI Power-Girl is Superman's cousin from Earth-2 she got stuck on Earth Prime after the Crisis on infinite Earths storyline. She is an older version on Supergirl. Having said that. I am glad you guys are venturing into the DC animated movies. You're in for a real treat. Some of these films are absolute bangers. This is definitely one of my favorites. Also, please make sure to check out Superman Batman : Apocalypse.

This is based on the 2000's run of Superman/Batman, a must read if possible. This is technically based in the animated series verse so I think the Lois line is because Bruce was with her first.
This is my favorite animated superhero movie. You can tell it was made for fans by fans, staying true to classic characters and not holding back on fan service.

This was definitely a good movie for you both to watch. This really shows the bromance between Batman and Superman! The next movie Batman/Superman apocalypse also shows it too. Their friendship with Wonder Woman is also a treat to see.

When he uses his powers in a big way, he time travels to a random point in time! One time in the comics, he accidentally sent himself back to the "Age of Dinosaurs" and there was a dinosaur stampede in progress! He sniffed his right arm pit and wondered allowed if he offended them with B.O. as he apologized to them! But it was a big predator that had them on the run!
The Tyrannosaures Rex was able to sneak up on him from behind and swallow him, if I recall right. He was so embarrassed that something so big was able to catch him off guard! He was able to set himself free, I think, by being vomited out rather than the other way, like with Will Farrell in his "Land of the Lost"! 🦖
At some point, he uses his powers again, and the blast radius was the ELE for Dinosaurs rather than an asteroid impact! 😮

Batman And Superman are considered and known as the greatest friendship in the entire comic book history, They are both best friends and the greatest duo I have seen in comic books or fiction that is, that's why it was heartbreaking seeing them fight for the first time in The Dark Knight Returns, it is both emotional and epic.

It's interesting seeing Achara so charmed by Superman calling Batman his best friend. More times than not in the comics, Superman & Batman, while having a contentious relationship at times, they are still portrayed as good friends and colleagues. Hell, in the comics, Superman gives Batman a piece of kryptonite as a fail safe in case the former ever goes rogue for any reason. He entrusts Batman and only Batman, to take him down. While the DCAU had them starting as almost bickering, begrudging alphas in "World's Finest", by the time you get to "Justice League Unlimited," you can tell that even with Batman being a hard-ass, the two heroes are pals. I'll always be a fan of that dynamic, rather than the whole "Batman vs. Superman" schtick.

A little detail I love in the Metallo fight was the heat vision scene, that wasnt superman trying to hit Metallo, that was him showin batman where he was so he could find him.

So here's the thing here guys. Kryptonite doesn't make Superman "instantly feeble" as people like to tell themselves. It actually Takes a LOT of time to do serious harm. Remember that while Kryptonite DOES slowly poison him (and yes, that's what it does; it's radiation poisoning) he's also STILL being affected by the Earth's Sun. So it's NEVER a simple one shot instant ultimate move. Superman actually recovers FASTER than the Kryptonite can Harm him. That's why it NEEDS to stay in proximity of him to actually BE effective. This is why he's ALWAYS trying to get away from Kryptonite as soon as he feels it's effects. Also the size of the Kryptonite and how close it is make all the difference. So yes picking up that car IS literally nothing for him even while under Kryptonite exposure.

So yes, there is canon art of their characters, mostly the girls and women, in sexy swimsuits that were in fashion then. The problem with "Prince Namor the Sub-Mariner" though, was that he wears swimwear anyway, so what was the difference? Him flexing his muscles? 😂

Okay, so now you have to watch the sequel to this: Batman/Superman Apocalypse. And then probably Superman: Unbound. Although never officially stated I always considered it an unofficial sequel to Apocalypse as one can argue it continues the journey of certain people within (without spoiling). And then go back to Superman Doomsday which I believe is the first DC animation done in a new continuity (and one of the first ones to put DC on the map in animated movies) after the 90s animated Justice League series concluded. Also check out, Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths, Justice League: Doom, Batman: Under the Red Hood if you haven't yet.

Whats crazy is that if Superman actually cut loose with his powers there isn't a single person who came after him that could have beat him. This includes Luther's heroes.
Technically Captain Marvel could, at least when he isn't nerfed into the ground. They'd likely kill each other in a fight, same with Captain Atom due to the nature of his powers

This is a man who can drag an entire solar systems, this is a man who can bench press the weight of the sun. If you think that Superman starting at fight at full power wouldn't kill his opponent instantly your delusional. Shit with Superman's speed alone he would move faster than either of their eyes could follow. He would be dead before their brain caught up to that fact that Superman isn't in front of them anymore.
Now I'm not saying he could be any DC character because there are people who could snap Superman out of existence or some goofy shit like that but everyone that fought him in this movie would be a greasy stain before they knew it.
