- Syncing Video and Audio on Zoom with OBS and NDI
If you are using OBS over Zoom (as I showed in previous videos), you may have noticed a delay between your video and your voice. In fact, your voice comes first, and the video is delayed by half a second or so. It can be annoying. I did some research and came up with this FREE solution, using another piece of software called NDI Virtual Input.

• Syncing Video and Audi...
Duuuude! Thank you SO much! I've spent over 20 hours trying to figure this out using Virtual Audio Cables and that was a nightmare. Thanks for the great step-by-step process! You're a lifesaver and have a new subscriber!
So glad to help! That's why I make these videos...
Awesome instructions!
Very clear and easy to follow. Specially when you explained the known issues that come up!
Thanks a lot!
You are welcome!
Thanks Yoram for a clear and concise video. Very much needed this ...
Thanks! This is the best video I've seen and your excellent explanation of the process. I tried Soundflower, Blackhole, Virtual Audio Cables, etc with no luck. On every lecture, I had to reset the whole system. This is a lifesaver as siebachnate said.
Great to hear!
So technical that you deserve my like!
Most videos are download here, click here, and that it is, you show what is happening behind the scenes.
Thank you for your kind words, Rafael!
Thank you. Such solid information. I feel I learned real stuff from this video. Again, thank you. Stay well.
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks This is much better than AB cable and Voicemeter
Very clear tutorial. Thanks a lot
This was fantastic. Thank you for sharing this 👌
Glad you enjoyed it!
colleague, fantastic explanation, really thanks to this video, I was able to offer my client the required service. Let's never stop thinking that a solution in a message like this can translate into profit for all of us. let's keep moving forward and success.
Glad it was valuable!
Thanks for this Yoram. This is exactly what i needed. :)
Glad it was helpful!
Aaa by that OBS no audio output kills me. Thanks for that diagram it explains it PERFECTLY. I wish they would add that already. I hope my old Mac is fast enough to use NDI it looks great
Thank you, Yoram! That worked perfectly. My first guess of 300ms was bang on to sync up audio and video.
Excellent!
Wow, thank you so much. That works a treat!
Great to hear!
Great bro, you explain things to the fine level, its very easy to understand.
I appreciate that!
Instructions start at 6:40
Short version:
download "OBS NDI Plugin"
download "NDI Tools"
Restart your PC
In the OBS Audio Mixer, select Advanced Audio Properties and adjust the Sync Offset
you dont even need to restart :)
Excellent video. thank you so much. This - and one other video - solved the mystery of OBS, Zoom and NDI. Thank you.
Glad it helped, Murray!
Love it...thank you.
Yoram, you´re fantastique!!! ... you answer all the questions people ask you!!! ... excellent video, by the way!!! .. thanks! ..
Thank you! 😃
very clear. easy to follow. thank you very much.
You are welcome!
Very informative, much appreciated
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you very much. I like using it this way alot better than through Voicemeeter
Glad you like it!
That's so helpful. Thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks very much. It was very helpfull
Glad to hear that!
Hi Yoram, thank you for the video. By far you are the best presenter about NDI and Zoom. In particular about the different routing and comes with detailed diagrams. I have checked your other video about Beginners with OBS and Zoom. There is one thing that I would like to request you for a answer or a video, that is how do you arrange a side by side interviewer and interviewee on Zoom. It seems NDI can push out audio and video, but how to get audio from an interviewee (Guest Speaker)? Looking forward to hear from you. Much appreciated.
Did this ever get answered? I'm having trouble recording audio from those I interview. I can hear them just fine, but OBS doesn't record their audio, so it's just silence when they speak (which I only find out when I go to edit the video...and is SUPER frustrating).
Great video! It helped me a lot. Thanks
Glad it helped!
Great Video, Thank you. I'm a subscriber now.
Too bad my cpu won't handle the plugins. something about ssse3 instructions. No processor with that instruction set fits an AM3 socket only AM3+ I Gotta watch your other videos though. Thanks
OKay I´ve got it thank you
Just found your awesome channel, Yoram, and immediately subscribed! This was just the info I have been looking for and I absolutely LOVE your fun and easy-to-understand delivery. :) One question, since it's clearly been awhile since you released this video, have you discovered that you no longer have to start the virtual camera in OBS for the video to show up in Zoom? I still have to do that for Teams, but not Zoom.
Thank you for video. I want to bring audio from zoom to OBS and live stream in youtube. Does NDI work for that as well?
@3:10 is it possible to use auxiliary effects routing in Voicemeeter to go to an app that can delay audio? 🤔
I've been experimenting with trying to livestream my Zoom calls on the free version and OBS, to CZcams. The biggest issue is sending out your voice to CZcams, as the audio only goes to the guest. I fixed this by adding a second microphone. Mt guest gets the audio from my cheap microphone, and the Livestream gets the audio from my nice microphone. The livestream comes out well, just got to balance the audio levels.
Excellent! I suspect this can only be done with any virtual mixer software (such as Voicemeeter) that will combine what comes out of Zoom with what comes out of your microphone.
Hi Yoram, I have a similar setup with one additional step. The virtual audio cable is still useful for routing Zoom speaker output back into OBS for the scenario where you want to bring Zoom guests into your stream.
YES! Good idea! I didn't uninstall CABLE from my computer after using NDI either.
@@YoramSolomon Instead of routing back the virtual cable to OBS, can you just record from Zoom and capture all sound and video?
Thanks for the Video. Do you know if this helps with playing your media source audio into Zoom? I’ve been having trouble on Teams getting my media source or desktop sounds to show up on the plate form even though my microphone and video are working just fine.
That's a great question, Juan, and I'm planning another video on that at some point. But for now, when your OBS scene includes another source of content with audio, that source will show up in the "advanced audio properties" window. Just make sure that you do "audio monitoring" and select "Monitor and Output" for that source, and you'll be fine. This allows you to choose what sources will go out through NDI. I hope this helps!
I have been following your videos and I am still having trouble with using OBS in Zoom! I have NDI and set it up how you showed in the video and I keep having video lagging issues. I teach fitness so I am using video, mic and also streaming music from spotify. Any suggestions on how to make all of this work for me?
Hi Yoram, hope you're keeping safe always. I am contacting you from Sri Lanka. Your video has been very informative and I have successfully done and followed instructions accordingly. I must say you are very thorough and clear in everything. Kudos to you.
My question is the sync offset as due to low internet in our country we use ZOOM as the livestream platform. Long story short how do I ensure the audio and video is synced right from the beginning. I have noticed that NDI has better AV than tradionaly using the OBS virtual cam and audio cable. My main concern is using NDI regarding the AV SYNC. Hope I am clear.
Thanks sir. Do i still need to use voicemeeter after downloaded NDI? I am using NDI Line and Voicemeeter at the same time. Will the audio quality change if I uninstall Voicemeete?
thanks for the good video :) I have a question. If I use obs to NDI to Zoom as in the video, is it possible to transmit in higher quality than the existing Zoom resolution?
Would the new Audio monitor in OBS take away the need for NDI?
Thanks your fantastic video demonstration. I hope you could resolve my problem encountered
in OBS NDI. I had installed (i) OBS, (ii) obs-ndi NewTek (windows installer
version) and (iii) NDI virtual input (received email for installation) into my Lenovo
notebook x1 Gen 6. However, I selected the NDI Output Settings to OBS, the system
tray for OBS virtual camera was not able to show OBS output, it showed remote
computer only. Therefore, there was no audio input (i.e. Microphone) sound
output from OBS to Zoom meeting. Many thanks.
ndi plugin is not downloading .it shows failed forbiden. any solution?
Nice video but was wondering how does the NDI method compare to using Audio Monitor plugin?
When you describe using the Monitor at 2:43, did you mean configuring Virtual Cable as the monitoring device and turning on monitoring for the microphone, or do you refer to the Audio Monitor filter? I was using the first - did not work well. But since I started using the new audio monitor filter, it seems to work fine ( obsproject.com/forum/resources/audio-monitor.1186/ ). Would the NDI output be even better? Thanks!
Yes, the first one... Using VC as the monitoring device and turning monitoring for the microphone. I ended up liking NDI more...
Yoram, I am enjoying your video and its step by step instructions. Question. You mentioned during the NDI 4 Tools installation that you don't run any software or apps that you are not going to need to be using so it does not use your RAM resources. The desktop I am using will be dedicated to streaming, but I want to make sure that I am being efficient with the RAM resources. How do I manage the opened items especially in Start Up? Thank you.
Chris, thank you for your kind note. Two answers: first, you just shut down any application you don't need. For me, the Chrome browser almost always is the biggest RAM hog... I just looked, and I think that 60% of the RAM is used by Chrome... To the second answer: If you write "Startup Apps" (probably writing "Startup" will be enough) in the bottom window, near the Windows logo, the "Startup" settings window will open. Another way to get there is through entering Windows Settings, then Apps, then Startup. You will see all the apps that will open automatically at startup. On the right side of each one is an on/off slider, which you can switch to off. Below that slider, it also tells you how much of an impact that this app have on your computer's performance. I hope this helps!
Many thanks, however, when using the methods in your previous video on this:
1) Install Virtual Audio Cable
2) Go to Settings and set OBS to monitor audio using Virtual Audio Cable
3) In the mixer's advanced properties, set audio sources that you want audible to Monitor and Output
4) Set the audio input in Zoom to Virtual Audio Cable
The filters( Noice Suppression, Noice Gate etc.) I add in OBS is working in Zoom, Skype etc.?
So I was using the obs audio monitor (a newish plugin that you can put after other audio filters) as a plugin with virtual cable, but switched to voice meeter banana. It's nice and easy to visualise the audio paths and seems easier than this. I just have a stream mix output I send to obs
This works perfectly for me now. I think it's an elegant solution compared to the virtual cables. Yesterday, I had an issue using OBS Virtual camera using CISCO Webex and found it is a know issue. The NDI solution should work for this case.
Just a note. My microphone output is set to 'Monitor Off' but NDI still picks it up. If I set it to 'Monitor and Output', I am actually getting an echo on my desktop speakers. I am wondering if I have made some mistake but I tested it multiple times.
Check if you still have cable on...
@@YoramSolomon No. I never installed the virtual cables.
I did as you suggested and it worked perfectly. Thank you for that. The only issue is I'm hearing my own voice while speaking. Is there away to send audio from OBS to zoom without monitoring?
Check the OBS mixer settings. I think that you have BOTH the PC output AND the microphone coming out at the same time. One of them probably has a delay, and that's why you hear an echo. If not there, it could be in the Windows Audio Mixer settings (right click on the speaker icon in the system tray and then select "Open Volume Mixer").
Hello Yoram how can we extract audio from zoom and process it in OBS for the live stream output
Use the desktop audio in OBS to capture the audio outputting from Zoom.
I use this configuration and had Audio set at 0db and I had complaints about being being slightly too low, I will try moving tp +6db, hopefully it wont overdrive the audio. I am also running compression & a filter in OBS so maybe I am doing too many things, I had the Compression Gain set at +2db and moved it to +4db and that helped with raising the audio level. I will play around with it, moving the compression back to +2db and raising it to +6db in NDI.
I ended up using +20db on NDI. No distortion.
Yoram, thanks for very clear instructions. This solution works great for me as long as I use only my microphone as a sound source. As soon as I want to use audio from my desktop (i.e. when I have a video in my powerpoint slides), both Zoom and MS Teams are trying to cancel out the sound and the virtual meeting participants can hear the sound from the video distorted or not at all. Even when I reduce the noice suppression to minimum, the sound is still distorted. I suspect it has something to do with the fact that both Zoom and PowerPoint output the sound to same audio output device/spekeares. Any idea how to get videos and other sounds play through zoom properly?
Check out the audio mixer in the middle of the bottom part of OBS. Make sure only what you want is unmuted, and everything else is muted. Also, in NDI, make sure you are setting audio volume up (I use +20dB).
OBS has a virtual camera as well. You can go from obs to zoom.
Wonder what your experience with latency is? I always found the ONS monitor played back so late it was offpiting to hear, so I turn it off. Is it absolutely necessary to have monitor on?
You don't have to have the monitor on. I do connect a second laptop to the same Zoom call to see what my audience sees, but I don't look at it except every now and then. I don't look at any monitors other than to make sure I'm still in the picture...
The plugin doesn't appear in Tools :(. Any ideas? I am using Windows 111, 22HS, OBS, 28.03 and obs-ndi 4.9.1. It says plugin has failed to load
Hi Yoram.. I like how you explain things. I wanted to ask you something, I have installed the obs-ndi plug-in (Version 4.9.0) but for some reason when I open OBS I don't see it under the Tools tab. What am I doing wrong?
I have the same problem. Would like to see if there is a solution
You made your talking head from bigger to smaller in the initial part of the video and that time you said that this is through an OBS Plug in and will explain in an anther video . A but curious about that plug in , will you please mention it (or in what video you covered it) Thanks and regards
I used the OBM Move transition. I had two scenes, one in which I was big and in the middle of the screen, and the other in which I was small and in the corner. The smooth transition was the Move transition. I will be recording a video about it (and another one related to it soon), but for now, here is where you find that transition: obsproject.com/forum/resources/move-transition.913/
Thanks for your great video. Do you know if there is any compression added to the OBS virtual output? I want to make sure the quality level is high when the signal arrives at the Zoom program which will compress it further. Thanks!
Ah, Tim, I'm glad you asked. There is, but you can control it. If you go to Settings > Output, you will see the video bitrate element. The LOWER this number is, the HIGHER the compression rate it. I played with numbers from 2500 Kbps (2.5 Mbps) up to 50000 Kbps (50 Mbps). I could notice the difference in performance but, more than all, the performance in file size (note that while the Video Bitrate is in the "Streaming" section, the Recording section has "Recording Quality" which I have set (also the default) to "Same as stream."
@@YoramSolomon Thank you.
My audio isn't working in zoom with the ndi microphone. I have triple checked everything and it seems like I've done everything correctly. The ndi video works, its just the audio that isn't. What can I do to troubleshoot? Thank you!
video out is mirrored, is there a solution other than fliping horizontal the OBS inputs
How do you know it's mirrored? Where do you see it mirrored? If you're looking at it in Google Meet or Microsoft Teams--they mirror the image. Zoom doesn't. Don't know about the others. I don't think that it's OBS that's mirroring it for you.
I’m finding the set up very unstable in zoom. Video keeps freezing and audio keeps cutting out. My wife was on the zoom call in the other room and we couldn’t maintain video and audio for long enough to check the sync. Laptop I am sending from and ipad she is receiving on are on the same network. Broadband Speed is 9 mbps for uploads and 90 for downloads. Have you seen this freezing issue before?
What you are describing is typically a symptom of a computer not powerful enough. 9Mbps should be enough, and if everything works fine without OBS, that bandwidth is not the issue. Check out another video and see how "overloaded" your computer is: czcams.com/video/M97ykQCIFt8/video.html
Thank you so much for this video. I get the video into zoom but I don’t get any audio. I have set my OBS audio device in advanced audio properties to monitor and output but I still get no audio in zoom even when I select the NDI Audio.
Figured out my own problem but thank you so much again for this great video.
Hi Yoram, thank you for all videos and explanations ! I need your help, everything you asked me to do works very well, but the zoom reception of my images and my videos are blurred and the audio is cut off at times ...
My computer is configured like yours, I also watched your video on "is that my computer powerful enough" and yes my computer configuration is correct.
would there be something to do on OBS in Vidéo output ?
or is the problem is with zoom ? and i think its the case...
Can you help me ?
Thanks in advance
Alexander, how do you know that the zoom reception of your images and video is blurred? Here are a few things I would do. (1) start your own zoom call and record locally. Is the recording blurred when you record locally? (2) If they are blurred even when recorded locally, I would record a video from OBS (there is a "Start recording" button in OBS). Is it blurred even when recorded by OBS? Once you tell me what you found it--it will be easier to continue to diagnose it. I hope this helps.
@@YoramSolomon I don't want to record... I want to do a live from OBS to ZOOM, with videos and pictures and ppt. Could you help me ?
Alexander, I understand. I'm just trying to help here. The reason I asked you to record in OBS is just to see if the quality of the recording is better. If it is, it means that the problem is likely in Zoom. If the quality is bad, then the problem is in OBS. Just trying to isolate where the problem is coming from.
Yoram, nicely done!
I am encountering a blurred degraded video signal from the NDI into Zoom. A quick search on the topic shows many others with a similar experience. Is there a processing speed requirement?
I discovered a fix by going into the Video advanced setting in Zoom and changing the Video Rendering Method from Auto to GDI. Problem solved! Best wishes.
Help! How do we walk through this for Mac?
I'm sorry, but I don't have a Mac (anymore...), so I don't know.
I am not getting the download link of ndi tools in my mail, so please provide the link if you have ...plzzz
Hi Tuna. I can't provide you the link I received, as it is personalized and would only work for me... Check your SPAM folder. It must be there.
Thanks a lot. I made it and it works great beside one thing: Although usb-mic setting within OSB is set to 0db the sound via NDI within Zoom is much more silent than usb-mic direct if this was chosen within Zoom. Why? Difference might be at least 30%...
Otherwise thx again for this wonderful tutorial!
Thank you for your kind comment, Andreas. I actually think that the difference is much more than 30%. Note my comment at 14:44 of that video, and where you can change the volume setting. I no longer go with +6db, I go with +20db to get the same sound level (!). I'm guessing it's just a matter of definition of what NDI believes the sound level should be, versus what microphones put out. My guess is also that it is driven by other systems than OBS/Zoom... So, just take it up to +20db. I hope this helps.
@@YoramSolomon Hi Yoram! Thank you for this answer; yes indeed, that helped. Thx a lot!
Stay safe! And have a healthy year!
Hi Yoram! Me again. One more question/remark... well it works, but sync delay is still quite obvious within live Zoom-session. Even if the mic delay is set to (maximum of) -950ms; sometimes that fits... but than again seconds later it does not... I guess it‘s still a question of other processes on the PC (which I tried to close of course). Any other idea? Iliked the idea of NDI in order to use OBS on a PC and than using NDI just send it to another PC which just runs the Zoom session... but as mentioned... just still too much delay (by the way: no delay if I stay just to one PC and use regular audio/mic source on (same PC) within Zoom.... Hopefully you understand what I mean... anyway thx again for your work!
Andreas, it honestly sounds like you might running into the issue I'm running into: my audio and video desync for different amounts, and very inconsistently. Turns out my processor is maxing out when trying to record and do zoom/discord (video chat) at the same time.
What's your task manager say for your processor when you have all this going?
@@FlarkeFiasco I do not remember, I had a look and I guess it was „quite busy“
Right now I am in rhe process of buying a new one anyway...
Hope it will work on a M1 macbook... we‘ll see
I think this is a much cooler option than the Virtual cables.
I agree. I didn't know about this until more recently. Hence the newer video...
@@YoramSolomon You should pull down the other video...this is less confusing.
Any experience with Wirecast?
Not yet...
Is the plugin streaming in 4K or it is only in 1080?
I'm not 100% sure, but two things to consider: (1) NDI 5 is out (which I believe supports 4K or even more), and (2) I'm not sure what is the max res coming out of OBS. It might be that OBS is limiting to 1080p.
Hi . I need your advice on a plugging to use to fix a issue i have within OBS ... Ok here it goes .. My video and audio is perfectly in sync going live on the various plateforme .. yes that all fine and good. If i Am not actually in person at the live event to hear how far away the delay speaches actually is.
My issues is.. that when i am at the live event space.. the listen back on OBS and the listen back widdin the event space is not on the same timing. IF.. i say IF.. i click around in OBS.
Now if i just open OBS with everything going on .. without touching anything around in the canva .. then all is perfect in every way. But as soon as I click around in OBS canvas then the listen back audio in OBS is not on same tempo as the real and natural output sound in the event space
How do I get the OBS monitor output in the advance audio property to match up with the event space output sound as i am there in person.
I did use the offset syc in OBS in the audio advance property but still no changes
NDI would synchronize video and audio if you get both through the same channel, but that doesn't happen... Plus, OBS buffers audio, and at some point creates delay.
Hi can you help can’t seems to get ndi working
I have install it but can’t see it when I go to tools . Using Mac OS Big Sur
Hi Nyk. Sorry, I use Windows, and I don't know how to handle it on Mac. However, something to know: even in Windows, to get it running, I had to make sure that it was launched in administrator mode rather than in regular user mode for it to work. I don't know if there is something parallel in Mac.
@@YoramSolomon ok thank you
Hi. Great video however I am stuck. I do not get an NDI logo in the system tray after installing the NDI tool. What did I do wrong?
John, I just shot this video especially for you: czcams.com/video/YH9lTGDcMwk/video.html I hope it will solve your issue. Let me know!
@@YoramSolomon Yoram. Thanks , you have fixed it. I now have another problem with syncing audio and video.
I understand the sync controls in the advanced properties in OBS and how to adjust when zoom is on the same PC as OBS.
However when my Zoom Client is on a different PC the audio and video are miles out and it looks like the video is lagging by a few minutes and the audio is lagging by a different amount.
There is no way this can be corrected with the existing sync controls.
What do I need to do please?
John, it shouldn't be off by minutes... I'm not sure I fully understand the topology of your connection. You said OBS is running in one computer, but Zoom is running on another one. How are you sending the OBS output to the other computer, and how are you selecting video and audio on Zoom?
So can you also stream a youtube video via OBS? My granddaughter is 3 and 3 hours away and it would give us something fun to do on zoom.
Yes. I have a 3-screen setup, so I can open a CZcams video on one screen, and play with OBS on another, but you can do it with one screen, as well. You just add a source as another window, and get your CZcams window in there. I play (when I have a little time...) DCS (Digital Combat Simulator). It recently released a map that includes Northern Israel. I hold Zoom calls (with OBS...) with my inlaws in Israel and take them on a helicopter ride over Haifa, the city they lived in, and where my wife was born. It's amazing what you can do...
@@YoramSolomon That is exactly the setup I need. I have one monitor. Thank you! Also, for us new to your group, you might include a link back to your page with all of your videos.
I'm finding that the only way I can calculate the sync offset is to do a zoom meeting and do a test recording and then drop the file into a video editor to calculate how many milliseconds off it is. Then I have to start a new meeting and sometimes it's still not synced. Is there anything I can do to make this easier?
Hi Matt, the delay in the recording is different than the delay in streaming. I experienced the same thing. Also, I found that, depending on my computer loading (and I'm sure other factors, as well) the delay will change over time. I found the BEST method is to have a second computer (or even a mobile phone or a tablet), connect to the same call as another participant, put a headset on that device, and just adjust until sync is perfect. I do that with EVERY CALL (unless I don't care too much about the lack of sync...)
@@YoramSolomon I ended up re-adding the two IP cams and NDI sources and my latency dropped to almost nothing! Now I'm having an issue upon startup, the NDI "Webcam Input" app is saying "No NDI Sources Found". When I right click and hit exit and restart the NID Webcam Input app, the cameras appear and it's great. How do I get them to show when I first start the computer?
@@oatsack watch this video. That's what I do. which one do you prefer? using NDI or VIRTUAL CABLE?
I prefer NDI. It feel "cleaner," although CABLE is a little simpler. I am planning on downloading an NDI-compatible iPhone webcam app. NDI allows more paths whereas CABLE only allows one. I hope this helps.

how to set up zoom breakout rooms to zoom then go back to zoom breakout rooms? Thank you for your response.
I am not sure what you are asking... can you describe the scenario in more detail?
@@YoramSolomon I made a zoom meeting and then put the participants in the zoom breakout rooms. I want the happenings in each room shall be sync in the OBS. Then I will let this shown in each breakout rooms. in short ZOOM BEAKOUT ROOMS to OBS to ZOOM BREAKOUT ROOMS. I hope this more clear. hehehe
@@YoramSolomon i hope you can help me. Thanks.
@@benjiemaynopasofficial , if I understood correctly, you want what happens in every breakout room to be transmitted, aggregated, and then sent back to each of the breakout rooms. So, in every breakout room, you will be able to see what's happening in the OTHER breakout rooms, as well. Did I understand correctly? I thought about it. It's possible, but might take a bit more resources that you thought... The way I can think of it right now is to have TWO zoom calls taking place at the same time. One of the computers in EACH breakout rooms will be connected through HDMI to an HDMI-to-USB connector to a second computer in the same location, which will be connected through a SECOND Zoom call to the other "secondary" computers in every breakout room. The HDMI OUTPUT from this extra computer will be connected through a SECOND HDMI-to-USB adapter to the same computer that shared the HDMI output with that extra computer, and will be handled as a second camera. If you are serious about doing this, and willing to have an extra computer in EVERY breakout room, with a SECOND Zoom call, let me know, and I will draw a picture for you.
@@YoramSolomon Yes this is correct. Hopefully you can draw me a picture of the process. It will be a great help for what I want to present in our church. Thanks.
I’ve been experimenting with the NDI workflow.
I’ve not had time to properly trouble shoot it, but I’ve noticed the NDI audio is full of crackles and clipping noises.
When you record the Zoom call and playback the audio, it’s full of terrible audio artifacts.
It’s too bad. I really want this workflow to be stable.
I’d love to get the clean processed audio out of OBS but over the NDI connection, it’s so degraded that is not worth it at the moment.
I’m sure I’ll find a solution soon.
I don't have this issue with it. I wonder what is your computer loading and if that could be the reason. My computer is a gaming laptop that I use for video editing, so it is pretty powerful.
@@YoramSolomon I’m on a solid home build PC machine.
It’s not likely a processing bottle neck.
I’ve somewhat fixed it in my Zoom recordings.
In Zoom’s advanced audio settings there’s an optimize for music option. It makes for a heavier stream, but the audio quality issues are resolved.
I’ve tried using the NDI audio outputs to record elsewhere and found poor audio quality there as well. Unpredictable quality issues.
Sounds a lot like a buffer issue.
Admittedly, I’m dong a more complicated set up than most would require.
So I’m bound to face more trouble shooting issues.
I’ll have it solved shortly. Just haven’t had the time to do a deep dive on the issue yet.
Interesting. I look forward to hear what you found. Thanks for letting me know!
@@TangleWireTube Ryan, If you find a solution to this, I would love to know. I'm getting a bit of crackle in the Zoom audio as well. I'll try the advanced audio settings for now and see how it goes
