wanted to follow up this comment by saying my antidepressants have finally kicked in and while i still have a habit of ruminating on stuff that's literally made up, i am having an easier time unhooking myself from thoughts and being less emotionally affected by them. when i eventually start therapy soon i should develop some strategies to make myself even better. help and health looks different for everyone, but don't give up! inner peace is probably achievable!

I was a senior in high school and we had a new station every morning at the start of the day. The news came on about Matthew Sheppherd getting killed and I was numb all day. I kept thinking about what he went through over and over and then thinking well I'm not popular in school, that could happen to me. I did end up chatting with some people in my grade and they just accepted me for who I was. I found my confidence because they were supportive. I owe them a great deal of gratitude.
