    Have you ever wondered the best way to wash your car at a self service car wash? Today in this video I show you the best way to use all the in bay functions in order to leave your car sparkling clean. Not only that but if your looking at getting into the car wash business check out the products I use and how much soap I give the customers. I would much rather give the customers a lot of soap and make them happy so they return to my car wash and not the one down the street and that's what business is all about.
    After working for my Uncle for 2 years at he's car washes I really wanted my own and I came across this car wash. It was completely shutdown for many years so I approached the owner of the land and made a deal with him.
    It took me 6 weeks to bring this second one back to life and open it and now the customers are starting to pour in. Not to mention I opened it during December (winter) so I am yet to see its full potential but here's a small taste of how its going after 3 months of being open, my other one is at month 6. Enjoy!

      My thoughts exactly. Been watching a few videos like this since I'll be moving into a condo soon and won't be able to wash at home, so looking at the best way to use the self-serve wash. Would never use the brush, and with a ceramic coat I would rather use my own gear and chemicals to clean. Water is definitely the necessity tho. Possible to have a water only option for minimal price?

      @@alekmartinez1291 yes what I used to do before I became a detailer was bring a bucket and some wash mitts (I would have soap already in the bucket before I arrived) and use the water to just blow off all the dirt then go with the wash mitts, power wash the soap off then hit it with there spot free rinse. Works like a charm when that's all you have!

    Most car folks I know would never use the scrubbing brush. Most car washes only have one which means folks use it on their muddy grimey tires and wheels and then the next person runs it all over their paint job resulting in that classic swirl look. Friends don't let Friends use car wash service bay brushes... Ive heard folks say they spray them out.....I ask them if their clear coat is soft or hard . When they look puzzled ,I realize they just want instant gratification vs long term care .

    I gotta say, I was looking for tips on how to properly utilize all the functions at a self serve car wash because my local car wash has a lot of cool features. I was pleasantly surprised when I realized this video was taken at the very car wash I go to here in Hesperia, CA.
    I gotta say, this is by far the best self serve car wash in the high desert. Congratulations for running a well maintained business. For years I've taken my car to full service washes up here, but lately I've started coming here mainly because you have so many amenities that make giving your car a quality wash at a fraction of what you would pay at full service businesses. Keep up the good work.

Is car wash wax different? Also does car wash wax protect the paint, or do you need the store wax for that?

    • @CarWashChronicles

  • @BrownieloveMike
    @BrownieloveMike Před 3 lety +4

    Thank you for great video Chris.
    Its very nice to see how things are done over there in comparison to South Africa.
    My advice:
    A process is about maximizing output and results in the least amount of time or with the least amount of effort or both.
    Start with the Dirt remover soap before anything else.
    Then go to the wheels whilst the Dirt Remover works into the dirt on the car. The more time you give it, the better the outcome.
    Then you can follow the remaining steps you did.
    I would recommend the same if one had employees to wash car's for clients.
    How does giving extra product on all steps affect your bottom line?
    Do you think if you only provided extra's on the first 2 steps it would have the same outcome in terms of attracting clients considering that the first two steps kick of most of the cleaning in as far as dirt removal goes? So practically, are you not costing yourself more then you should by giving extra instead of good product within expectable standards of dispensing.
    Chris, who are the companies that provide Self service equipment including payment system in your area or those that you know off in general?
    Is it possible for you to give us a backend view of your tools, how they connect and how they speak to the payment system?
    Thank you,
    Keep them coming.

      I don’t mind when it’s quiet but when there’s cars waiting to use the equipment while the bucket washer is in the bay not using the equipment just taking up a bay then I prefer they wash with their bucket at home so customers who want to use the equipment can. I guess it makes more sense when you’re a car wash owner.

  • @pebmets
    @pebmets Před 2 lety +1

    I find many times the person or the people in front of me put the brushes on the ground instead of hanging them, the can't be bothered putting the hoses around the hooks, in other words, they don't care how they treat the equipment or the person who might use the bay after them. I don't use the brushes because they have probably been abused by other customers and could never be sure how clean they are. I will bring my own micro fiber wash mitts and towels and long as no one is lined up behind me, I will wipe down the car. If the car wash is busy, I just go touchless.
