Naiks are native telugu people, who stole the history, fame of the tamils. Till now they have enslaved tamilnadu in different forms. The temple was build by tamil pandiya kings but the naiks painted and stole the credit.

The temple was demolished largely by the Madurai sultanate . It was Devi Meenakshi Herself who appeared in Gangadevi´s dream and instructed her to convince the prince Kampanna ,her husband ,to take Madurai back . So dont accuse Devi of being partial to any specific community.
