- BIGGEST Test I have EVER given any single robot. Can one of My favorite roomba handle this Massive cleaning job? - Get it on Amazon Here! s9+ = amzn.to/3mPiAKl
iRobot Roomba i7+ = amzn.to/3j6ggfH - Jak na to + styl
If iRobot could they could make a setting on the side brush so when it goes on hardwood it will slowdown and when on carpet it goes the normal speed needed to kick the tougher stuff!
That would be a good idea to slow down the brush
I'd like to see two brushed too but I have seen a few tests where the double side brushes seemed to be a disadvantage.
Thanks for this stress test. I’ve been looking forward to it. As someone else mentioned, it might help to clean each vacuum’s filter and rollers just before each stress test. That would give them an equal playing field. Because I’m sure you need more to do. 🤣
Also, not sure if you got the email, but I got it from iRobot today. They claim some self empty bases can cause a fire if you vacuum liquid with your Roomba. Ya think? 🤔🤪
Anyways, they are sending me a brand new self empty bin. They verify affected bases by your serial number.
Expected result. I run it 2x 2 pass for a good clean. I would say one thing to add is to clean the filter and rollers before the test. S9 or their next s10 will be my upgrade. Currently though $600 vs $900 is not easily justifiable to me.
I was going to mention cleaning filters and rollers before each stress test on all vacuums.
What video will be next? I am thinking it will either be the Deebot T8+ MEGA STRESS TEST or Amarey A980 Stress Test. Hope I am right because I really want to see these 2 videos!
Can you also make your Premiers start at 8 PM instead of 9 PM CST, or for me, to start at 9 PM EST?
my roomba i7 is amazing! yes, i FINALLY got a new one the only reason why it leaves pet hair on my rug is due to it having a square pattern, with small thresholds in it honestly, i couldn't give a shit about it, it does an amazing job. usually i use my upright vacuum for the rug, so i don't mind that at all.
What are you planning to do with this because you got a Roomba i6 and when are you going to unbox the Roomba i6?
Maybe the deebot t8 plus next?
sure!
hey do you recommended the neato d7 for a two floor home. Also did you find any problems with the neato d7 yourself please explain in the comment I believe i watched your video on it but please explain to me more in the reply. Do you like the neato d7 yourself and would you compare it well with other robots
Everyone who watches his videos know which robots he recommends. Try watching all his videos.
@@johnl3359 i asked a different question

I have an i7+. When going from tile to carpet it leaves huge clumps of pet hair, so much I need to vacuum after it. Also once it is on the carpet it leaves rolled up balls of hair. Would upgrading to the s9+ eliminate this issue? I’m just tired of vacuuming after it runs, it defeats the purpose.
True....I dont have a pet so have no notices....The s9 has better suction so maybe it would keep it in the bin? Not sure.
@@AdamsReviews I bought the s9+ today and it’s charging, so fingers crossed!
@@summertime82 would you recommend it?
Huge price diffference
Have you heard of the Roomba 980? It's 400 on amazon, and I think you should try it out because it has a carpet boost function, and I think it would really show in the tests.
Yeah, but It's much louder than my roomba S9
@@litteraly_no It'e my understanding that the s9 is louder than the 980 and the i7 is quieter...? I have the 980 and I don't feel it's overly loudbut it doesn't work with its app anymore (our fault) so it doesn't do as good of a job as it used to and I'd really like to be able to send my robot to specific rooms so we're upgrading.
I've had my 980 for four years. If you can live without the self empty bin and the advanced mapping features I highly recommend,
Yep really disappointing about the i7+ from this video. Its still expensive despite its age and also took a long time to clean. And how many times did it go to empty itself? 3-4? Its a bad result even using the dirt detection. Looking forward to more videos. Please do some more tests of the T8 and maybe some testing of the Roborock S6 MaX V. Oh and the Neato. Neato are really popular in Northern Europe i know you did some old testing but would like to see them perform with your new tests. New Neato models are out now D10,D9,D8.
I just bought a “ i8+ ” from Costco and love it, But the s9+ is on sale now. Do you think it’s worth it to spend 300 dollars more for the s9*? I remember watching one of your videos a while back saying you were going to return the S9 because the i7 was just as good.
I think I would go ahead and buy the s9+
@@coltonsvacuumcollection Just went on Amazon and it went back up in price. Dang it lol
Lol totally thought of your channel today. Canadian Tire has Shark IQ auto empty for 380, down from 600 Canadian. I thought of all your videos and disappointments on it.
I have one with the self emptying bin and honestly I'm pretty satisfied with it. It gets a lot of dirt (majority are from my girlfriend cats) and I never have to clean anything than the self emptying bin (and the filter on the robot time to time).
No problem with the mapping features, it mapped my place in one run.
EDIT: Just want to add that the robot isn't flawless. The navigation of the robot (not the mapping but how it moves) isn't advanced as iRobot is. I have a old "dumb" iRobot (600 series) that follow better the wall when doing a edge clean.
The Shark doesn't clean carpet as good and I don't have access to "no-go zone" in the app.
What I think before this test, oh God what a mess!
Great video! Didn’t you replace the rollers with the generic brand ones? Maybe those aren’t as good as the iRobot ones. Are you doing this test with the i3+? My Roomba i3 does a fantastic job at picking up everything off the floors. Maybe some Roombas are different?
Yes i do have aftermarket...I havent really noticed a difference....I think it just comes down to the suction power
@@AdamsReviews yeah, as long as their similar it will be about the same. Also the i3 is the exact same as the i7 other than some mapping changes.
Test not valid when aftermarket rollers are used. If you want to give a fair assessment the robots should ideally have all new filters, rollers, and brushes. Bare min is cleaning them. But using aftermarket rollers taints the result.
Why don't you start the robots from their base in the other room, and tell them to clean the test room?
Is that a skin on it? Or do you have a different model?
Nooo dammit again, got no notifications!
nooooooooo...do you have the "bell" icon ON next to the subscribe button?
@@AdamsReviews Yep! Last night I even unsubscribed and re-subscribed and hit the bell again. This sucks almost as bad as Shark Robots, but I digress lol. Do you have a premier tonight?
I'm getting the i7 but I am disappointed that iRobot didn't give it two power modes like they did with the 980 and s9. Other than that one thing it's a great upgrade over the 980.
Even so, I think the fact that I can have it clean specific rooms and it has the self-empty bin will make up for that for the most part. I just don't feel the s9 is enough of an upgrade to be worth the price difference. I can get the i7 for less than what I paid for the 980 when we got it. I don't mind sending it out again if it misses too much.
I like the fact it went over the floor in two different directions. I was just thinking that would make more sense then it started going across instead of up and down.
I realized Roborocks are trash at getting underneath things and tend to get stuck more often. I also miss the dual rollers. My next vacuum will be a Roomba.
This was not good.......
