The way that he accepts people will betray them, and can actually appreciate how they betray them is just one of the many ways Hondo is awesome.
Sounds somewhat familiar with what the Sith believe.
In one comic, Sidious was actually proud once he found out that Vader was scheming behind his back in order to overthrow him.
This is also such a Sith thing to do.
In one of the comics, Palpatine is amused, surprised and proud at Vader for doing stuff the Sith way and going behind Palpatine's back in order to stab him and keep the empire.
Betraying is the Sith way, according to Palpatine himself.
@@lisboah "Thats my boy!"
All the more reason to be loyal to him.
He also likes a person who lies to him. In Rebels, when he finds out that Ezra has been lying to him about his name being Lando, he said "You lied to me? I knew there was a reason I liked you." Or something along those lines.
Let's take a moment to recognize the fact that this man:
-Fought both Anakin and Ahsoka in face-to-face combat via electrostaff
-Befriended many Jedi, including Obi-Wan, Anakin, Ahsoka, Plo Koon, several younglings, and Ezra
-Was made an enemy of Dooku (held hostage), Grievous (Dooku's orders, was also insulted by Hondo), Maul and Savage (denied alliance), essentially the whole Empire (ally of Phoenix Squadron)
-Witnessed the creation of a lightsaber, being the only non-force-sensitive person to see the process
-Literally stole a coaxium shipment from the First Order, destroying a Star Destroyer and mining hub in the process, all within 5 minutes.. like it was nothing

Is there a problem with Republic Credits?
@@HasufelyArod In one or more of the episodes Hondo refuses offers of payment in Republic Credits because they are useless to him.
@@HasufelyArod What Mojebi said, essentially. As to *why* Hindo considers credits useless... Well, credits are basically a "faith" currency system. They're financially backed by the faction that issues them. In war time, credits are the safest to transport and the easiest to procure. Once the war is over, the credits are cashed in for a different kind of currency, usually the newly-issued official currency of the victor.
See the problem? If you take the currency of a warring faction as payment, and that faction ends up losing, then you can kiss that money goodbye. Those credits are worthless.

Winnie the Pooh becomes a pirate
I just heard Hondo say “If anything gets in the way, kill it” as I see he share Winnie’s vocals

They could've fixed the Martez sisters arc by rubbing some Hondo on it
That’s what she said
That's the main thing season 7 was missing. 9/10, not enough Hondo 😂
@@rev0568
Hondo: no no it's like mother Ohnaka always said"you can polish a pile of bantha poodu but I'm not a miracle worker!" the Martez sisters arc was just like me a complete loser and a hopeless hot mess.
Or shortening it a lot.

@@BobBambo Yes he is. He gets some satisfaction in watching people get screwed over. That's classic schoolyard sadism.

My favorite is, “I am semi-speechless”.
“This effort, is no longer, profitable” is definitely the best one
Same energy as "Dude, dont call us plucky. We dont know what that means."
My fave line 😂😂👏
Hondo in almost every situation we see him in:
"I'm rich!"..."I'm dead!"
40:04 I love that moment, it really shows how much Hondo had grown.
Hondo is, perhaps, THE single best character outside of Ashoka to come out of the Clone Wars series. I had NO IDEA he was popular enough to make it to Galaxy's Edge!
Cad Bane honorable mention
@@billyjames9109 Yes but Cad Bane was a character, but Hondo felt like an actual real person. He started it off as neutral, grew sympathy to the jedi, and eventually helped them out in the end. He as a progression, development. Cad Bane is dope as f*ck, but he is just Cad Bane. He gets a little development in the Naboo Plot arc, but then reverts back to normal lmao
Hondo and Cad Bane are the most annoying Star Wars characters probably literally 1 and 2. Awful.

The only person in the galaxy who can insult both Obi Wan and Darth Maul in one sentence and live to tell the tale.
Of all the characters that are getting their own series, and HONDO DIDNT?!

They're apparently making a Rey solo series too. Why do you need that rubbish when you could have Ohnaka- A Star Wars Story

The two times between Clone Wars & Rebels, that Hondo Ohnaka actually says something noble and honorable.
I love how Hondo is hilariously likeable for a pirate but he can also be intimidating such as when his men cross him
Which happens frequently XD
