A white blade is really hard to get. You'd have to source a red blade, usually by defeating a Sith and taking his crystal, then purifying said crystal with the light side of the Force to make it white. But Saberforge works too.
To be fair, he did survive this episode arc. The ship didn't, but he did. Plus there's at least Episode 3 that he'll still be around. And then he probably won't be teaching Jedi, but probably still making lightsabers.

Yeah Luke modeled his new one after Obi-wans because he found a book on how to build lightsabers, but he was never taught how to do so on his own so he followed the steps on Obi-wan's.

The scene where the Youngling learns the matrix of his Lightsaber is assembled wrong really cements the fact that the Lightsaber is (or at least was) the most dangerous weapon in all of fantasy.
I loved this episode so much. Going into the spirituality of building a lightsaber. From the kyber crystal to the components of the hilt, it all matters. And what a wonderful addition Huyang is to jedi lore. I got to build my own lightsaber at Savi's workshop. I had hoped there would have been some hint or suggestion Huyang was working behind the scenes there.
When he’s talking to Gungi he has the same speech pattern as Yoda. Since both of them are hundreds of years old I wonder if Yoda just speaks with an old dialect,not necessarily because he can’t form sentences correctly.

It's possible that an unknown Jedi master during the attack on the temple manage to seek inside, found some of them, helped them out, snuck onto a ship, flew off to an unknown world and went into hiding.
I made a fan fiction where they escaped to a remote Outer Rim world and created a small civilization. They had to fight bounty hunters,pirates and Inquisitors but eventually joined Luke’s new Jedi order (at least in my head canon)
That Youngling's mistake with his lightsaber is why Luke's concerns were warranted when he constructed HIS lightsaber. Luke spent about a month on it to make sure he did it right, since he knew of past cases where the first instance of constructing a lightsaber would take a considerable amount of time whereas a Master could do so in a couple days. Star Wars Rebels further corroborated this concept when Ezra Bridger constructed his first lightsaber since Zeb made a comment that he'd been working on it for weeks.
This is one of my favorite episodes of the series. I wish these youngling were in the series more. There is a new fanfiction story in the making called "Jedi outlaw adventure" and it's about these younglings.
