    INGREDIENTS LIST:
    - 800g a/p flour
    - 500g warm water
    - 1 packet yeast
    - 1 tsp. salt
    - 1 tsp. sugar
    - 1 tbsp. white vinegar
    - 1/4 cup Greek extra virgin olive oil
    - Sesame seeds for garnish

    Ken, my daughter and I made this bread yesterday. It was wonderful. We had purchased some Greek olive oil and wanted good bread for dipping. We had a dinner of thus bread, kalamata olives, anchovy stuffed olives, feta, truffle spread, and wine. So delicious. Thanks.

    Made this today, in two batches- one for me, and one for my Greek neighbor. It was very easy and came together nicely! I ate it with soup tonight- it is a wonderful dipping bread!
    I believe I’ll add a bit more vinegar next time for an extra sour kick!

    Ken, this looks absolutely drooling! This is on the agenda for the weekend with my 13 year old grandson who aspires to become a chef. He absolutely loves cooking and baking. Another thing he wants to make authentic Greek fries. I have tried by trying g to replicate ones we gave had in restaurants on the Danforth but I'm obviously missing the mark. Please give us a great recipe with your tutorial. Love your recipes and they inspire us weekly. Most recently your olive oil orange cake was a mega hit.

    This is gorgeous, I used to love baking bread until I found out that I'm gluten intolerant. Now I bake gluten free bread but it's so different

    That looks good enough to eat, Ken! I will try this with your recipe but also with a 50/50 mixture of strong bread flour and all purpose flour to see what difference that makes to the finished product.

    Good day Ken, I am stuck at the moment. I think you’re recipe is wonderful and I have made 3 loafs now , but my dough after the oven proving is always to flat , I hand mix do I need to knead the dough more do you think . Thanks for your time .

      That’s a common problem and very frustrating. Sounds like it’s a yeast issue. That’s happened to me too when the yeast I was using was past it’s prime. Try using new yeast and I think you’re problems will be over lol

    Oh Ken, you had me at Sourdough! I love extra sour bread. Any way to make it extra sour? Extra vinegar?...

      I add 1 tbsp. to this but you can add up to 3 tbsp for a more “sour” dough flavour....

    A spectacular recipe, it turned out a very tasty bread. Yet I baked it for 1 hour on 160c and the crust was nice but not crunchy like yours, did I not bake it long enough or was temperature not correct. I hope you can help thank you Ken .

    What brand of Greek olive oil do you use? Or is any EVOO ok to use?

      Although you can use any quality olive oil, I use my own Sylvia which I produce, export from Greece and import to Canada. This is where you can check mine out:

    Hi Ken, I was wondering if you sell the olive oil you make from Greece and if you do where can I go for that. I miss being in Greece so much because nothings better than Horiatiko psomi, with real feta and olive oil :)

      No mixer, no problem! Just follow the recipe but hand-knead the dough. A little more work but same result... good luck!!!

      Hey Wally, you didn’t miss a thing. This recipe only has 1 proof because of the proofing trick that I show you with the oven. Typically without the oven proof, you need a double rise....

    Make a real sourdough starter and forget the vinegar. Making your starter is a no-brainer because youtube has dozens of DIY videos.
