The 2025 Ram 1500 Tungsten SST Is The Ultimate Twin-Turbo Uber Luxury Truck
Vložit
- čas přidán 5. 06. 2024
- With the #Ram1500 already raising the half-ton truck bar back in 2019, the #Ram1500Tungsten takes things to the next level with this uber luxurious range topping trim designed for truck buyers looking for European levels of luxury and technology with the practicality and capability of a truck. The #1500Tungsten also comes standard with Ram's fabulous new #HurricaneSST engine, which replaces the old 5.7L #HEMI V8 with a 3.0L Twin-Turbo I-6 making 540 HP and 521 lb-ft of torque. It makes this truck one of the most powerful half-ton trucks on the market and we expect most buyers won't miss the old V8.

Good morning everyone! Welcome to the final part 3 of our 2025 Ram 1500 review! This video includes driving scenes of both outputs of the 3.0L twin-turbo I-6 Hurricane engine. If you came here from our Ram 1500 Rebel video, this is the video you were looking for that has driving scenes from the off-road Rebel trim.
Mpg is the joke😂😂 I have 11 mpg on my RAM!!!
Is showing what do you want me to do is it my ram or are you trying to sell
Please Make Your Videos Length short. No one will watch a 40 minute review. Please make it shorter and interesting. 🙇
I ordered my Tungsten on Friday. It's too bad Ram in Canada is so slow to share information. I was told I couldn't get Ram boxes but it is standard. LOL I can hardly wait until it comes in...
Never had issues with any of my rams lol my 2013 had 240k miles, my 2019 has 120k and still chugging.
I don’t know what impressed me more, the truck or this man’s ability to memorize & spew out every single detail of this truck’s features, with flawless articulation and precision without stumbling once. But the one thing that’s difficult for me to believe, and I’m not saying that it doesn’t, but that this truck supposedly has, what he say, around 550 hp coming from a six cylinder engine; and that after he fired it up, sounded a little better than a souped up sewing machine.
I think he's on the spectrum ( I mean that in a positive way and I love watching his posts).
3.0 straight 6 twin turbo. Japan and Germany has been making 500hp with them for a long time. Loud does not equal fast
It most likely the electric motors, all the engine is doing is providing electricity
@zacharybarnes1824 wrong truck. This is directly powered by the 3.0 online 6. The phev is 630hp with the 3.6 pentastar as the generator. However, it can also apply power to the wheels. I don't think the Tungsten even has an optional eTorque
That PSI figure is scary. 28 is beyond “healthy” as you say.
4.7 seconds in a full size truck is insane.
Bothers me that this Ram is faster 0-60 than my Gen 3 Raptor 😅
This truck is as quick as my 5.0 wtf...🤭
@@arthurwright255 wait till it’s tuned. These straight 6’s will be monsters.
yea but its gonna sound like crap@@ryanb8736
@@ryanb8736 True, I'm curious to see how the Ram RHO turns out. I bet it will be a beast.
No 1/2 ton pickup will ever be worth $90,000. I don't care how much it massages my butt, lol.
Get your money up you bum
lmao thats only estimated markups gonna kill
Exactly.
Just say you don’t have the money for it
Yeah you're so wrong ,it's basically an s class on the inside almost.most high end pickup trucks are around 90k or even 100k
gonna miss the V8...that sound was one of the best on the planet
I agree
28 PSI is crazy, I'm sure it will be reliable good God ticking time bomb
Mercedes had that much boost and more over time in their 4 cylinder in the AMG 45's, and that came out in 2013. Turbo technology has come a long way since the 90s.
Yes it's true turbos have come along way, but having crazy high psi will dramatically shorten the life of any engine and all components with it. Especially with heavy driving all the time. Towing
@@myemailiscoolbut you have to also compare German engineering to french/Italian engineering
Hemi's tick too. Tick, tick, tick, who's that? Cylinder 3 hahahaha....
Even if all the internals are forged shits still gonna blow
Love the old v8 5.7 sound!
Eh. Its slow. This is fast
@@Ryan2022…so what? 🤔 The V8 is a lot more charismatic than the 6 cylinder. But hey, one first would need to know, what charisma means, right…?!😊
@@fragu123 your post is weird but what I will say is this I have a 2022 with the hemi in it and I expect there to be a bidding war when I sell it based on all the post with people claiming how much they love the hemi
Yeah, the V8 will be missed, and I dunno if I want a V6 truck. The higher output inline V6s will be in the higher trim levels well out of reach of most people when it comes to pricing. Then Laramie trim used to be affordable prepandimic but good luck now. They can't even sell the 2023s and 24s right now, let alone trying to push 2025s.😂
@@Ryan2022 …my post is nowhere near as weird as your post is one-dimensional: “Eh. It’s slow. This is fast.”😂🤣😝 You must have thought a long time to come up with something so meaningful like this…. Chapeau!😉
Dayumm... trucks are more luxurious today than full size luxury cars 10 years ago.
0-60 in 4.7 seconds out of a full size stock truck?!? That’s bonkers😵💫
And 6mpg!!! Nice
That's so you can get to the Seven-eleven quicker for your BIG Gulp. 😀
28 psi enjoy your 2-3 runs before it breaks down
Oh yeah "BIG TRUCK" says 1500💀💀💀
I’ve watched a 2.7l eco boost hit 4.2 0-60.
This is basically a luxury sedan that can tow and haul. THIS interior is what BMW and Mercedes should be trying to do. As much as I hate the reputation (deserved or otherwise) that Stellantis has gotten in recent years, you have to admit their interior design is on POINT.
Are you out of your mind??? If THIS was the interior bmw and Mercedes offered they’d be out of business
Luxury? Are u blind ? In the beginning of the video did u catch the gaps on the front wheel well bmw , mebz would be out of business with that shoddy fit and finish and this vehicle was for a yt video
No not even close bud.. it's not a truck it's a 1500 shit pretty much a suv😂😂
Its a candy coated turd buyer beware
Funny how pick up trucks became luxury vehicles not just Work horses

Disculpe, parte del problema de saber comunicarse en dos idiomas. 😘
It's European now with German engineers invested. And I like it. More efficient than Americanize engines. But pentastar and hemi are reliable though.
This is built for it. These will be built to last. Straight 6 is most balanced.
Buy the extended warranty.
I like thee wheels. I like it all. RAM keeps making the prettiest truck. I sure hope that motor works out for the long haul. I'm not used to that, and 200,000 is a lot of revolutions.
Great presentation. Can't get over that interior being so luxurious. And 540 hp is just crazy fun.
I passed by the ram dealership today a sea of unsold pickups. Ridiculous prices
Where?
@@Luv4Frankie everywhere all over the country no one is buying ram trucks
There's a dealer where I live that typically had over 700 Ram 1500's in inventory or on the way. A "sea of unsold pickups" as you said but they'd go through inventory fast. People want options and they want the truck now. It's their best selling model so of course they're going to have inventory. The last few years their supply was down at that dealer but now they're finally able to get them. Now we have people saying "look at the inventory!!" Hah!! Why didn't anyone say it 5 years ago????
@@andrewr8602 nice try they have that inventory because the ram is one of the slowest selling models in America
Ram is down 15% YoY. It's the prices and interest rates. The monthly price is unaffordable, especially with all the addons dealers like.
The increase in prices is three-fold. First is that in 2020 and 2021, the money supply increased by 50%. Any good company will also increase their prices to meet the obvious inflation coming. Second is the EV mandates which are expensive to bring to market. For instance, for each Mach-E Ford needs to sell 4 F-150s so the profits from the F-150 could pay for the losses of the Mach-E. With everything Stellantis, all the expenses are paid for from the profits of Rams and Jeeps. Third is that we are in the middle of a recession and 2024 is predicted to be a bad year. It's better to sell few vehicles at a high margin than many vehicles at a low margin.
31:16 Thank you so much for shutting the Moonroof cover!!! If this new Ram was gonna be like the Crappy Tesla roofs, where they have no covering, this would have been a massive deal breaker!! People like me absolutely hate the hot sun beating down on our heads!!! If fact if you ask me, i would get the top trim Ram with no Moonroof!! I think thats a gimmick!! I always want my roof totally dark. Ask anyone in the south in the summer! They DO NOT want 115 degrees beating on their heads with UV rays at 11 high!! Its hell!!
90k is crazy
It is, but a Sierra Denali Ultimate trim comes very close to this price as well.
@@theredline I’m ok with that truck being that much, and for that money the only answer should be the raptor
And how many Sierra Denali Ultimate do they sell? Prices are getting out of hand
@@aladin_ko Probably a lot more than we think
People spend this much money on Mercedes and Cadillacs; yet, there's no practicality. This actually has practicality and luxury so I can't complain about the price.
Hey, really good camera work today, and good editing. Bravo.
Dudes hear this truck comes with a straight six and say “If it doesn’t have a V8, I don’t want it” meanwhile this thing is blowing the Hemi V8 out of the water in terms of power. 73% more horsepower over the Hemi! That’s insane!
No replacement for displacement. Torque is the most important for towing, and that's what trucks are SUPPOSED to be doing. These luxury trucks are just a waste of money
Are you sure about those numbers dan😂
The hemi was never updated they could have easily upgraded the v8 powertrain gotten rid of the 5.7 and 6.4 and made a new one making around 500hp
Front bumper is no longer a 2 piece with steel lower. It's now more modern, inner impact bar style bumper with a front plastic bumper cover. Ram did it on some of the 4th gen trims.
People & there comments are crazy 4th generation ram sport have the one piece bumper
@@sanfordalston4466 I literally said some 4th gen Ram trims had the one piece plastic bumpers.
That engine and sound system 😍

Amazing job Sofyan.
That's crazy. 500 horsepower and 28 PSI out of an inline 6. You know it's going to be reliable. Definitely worth the $100,000 price tag.
Who buys these? Nobody I associate with. I guess I'm poor.
People that own travel trailers, boata, and ponies.
The reliability is questionable though. With all that boost pressure, I see this truck running through head gaskets rather often.

Beauty of a truck. Sounds like my mother's Honda CRV! haha Long live the HEMI V8

Great video, I like how well put together it is
I have a 3.0L Sierra Denali Ultimate and came from a ‘19 Longhorn. Super happy with my choice cause I love the diesel, but I do miss the plush ride, and I also still think the materials are a hair better in the Ram!
Open your eyes the Ram blows it away by far..no comparison if you want to compare go to ford not Ram
@@RAM-KINGOFTRUCKS depends what you are talking about. I had about every option on the Ram, as well as every option on my Ultimate. Interior quality is a little better for sure, but my diesel get 25mpg… I drive 35000 miles a year. So, IMO, that blew the Ram away by far.
@jordanreyes8880 with all extra costs for diesel and maintenance there isn't no difference..Ram has a diesel and prefer a v8 all day and Ram wins hands down in every way..most awarded most reliable pickup RAM-1500 KING OF TRUCKS 👌
@@RAM-KINGOFTRUCKS in my experience, my diesel is much cheaper. I put $10 def fluid in ever 2-3 months, and a $30 fuel filter every 20,000 miles. So far, that’s way cheaper than my rear window leak and exhaust manifolds were 🤣
@@jordanreyes8880 bullshit I've heard way more expensive plus diesels are trash from Garbage Motors 🗑
Besides the the info provided I HAVE TO SAY that the picture quality is beautiful my man!
Ditto That. .. Great video. ..
Another Awesome Video! The 2025 Ram looks like a winner! However, 28 psi seems pretty high for long term reliability.
Engines these days are designed for it. Head gaskets are built amazing for this added pressure.
Back in the day, they slapped turbos on regular engines not designed for it. Things are so advanced now.
It's more than likely won't even touch that unless they're full throttling it 90% of the time. I don't think there's much worry tbh.
@@ryanb8736 My only issue? Dodge made it..
@@emery2310 Ford has major issues and so does GM.
Still ridiculous to me that on a nearly $100k truck they can’t include a power adjustable steering wheel.
It's just another point of failure and a manual is much easier to adjust exactly where you want it quickly.
Manual is better. Less to break after people tug on them to get in the truck.
I wonder if it telescopes also?

$90k seems high, but cheaper than a Grand Wagoneer? Very nice looking truck, and the lower specs could be very good options.
I love the RamBox! I’m surprised more brands haven’t applied this to their midsize and full size trucks!
Totally agree, it’s one of the major reasons I’m sticking with Ram going ahead. Such handy storage capabilities.
Not possible because Ram owns the Patent to outside bed lockable storage. The only way around it is to put that same type of storage on the inner side of the bed.
If I am doing the math right the patent will expire in 2029 so other makers can then do it. Year 1 was 2009 and patents are enforceable for 20 years@@rotaryperfection
@tjsullivan4793 Can Ram renew exclusivity, or is the patent OPEN after expiration no matter what?
Do you know what I hate about this Ram? The 0-60 time is faster than my Gen 3 Raptor 😆
Loving the cesspool backdrop. Standard Hurricane in my Wagoneer is great the first 10k miles, we'll see how they hold up over time.
Awesome review...all details clearly explained and demonstrated...really well done !!!
I been waiting for this video to drop!
When Sofyan did the top tier walk up intro on this 1500 Ram Tungsten... I knew I was in for a treat. I'm actually looking at The Ram 3500 6.7L Cummins I-6 HO diesel engine myself.
Great review. This guys presentation skills are on point.
28 psi 😮
"Block in head" made my head hurt.
GREAT video!! First class...THANKS
I would rather have the storage above the glove box than the screen
19/23 MPG, with 540 HP, carrying 3 tons, is very impressive
Factory numbers are rarely accurate
Yeah, no shit. I saw that EPA number, then I looked again. Then again! 😅
Man fantastic video very informative definitely subscribed 👌👌👍👍
Most people buying this truck don't care about the price or they wouldn't be buying. It's an Option if you don't like the price don't buy it. Some of us want more options with every new and improved vehicle.
Reddnekk Rover....
That engine is scary af from an ownership perspective. Definitely a lease only vehicle.
I can already imagine them sitting at rows in dealerships, not selling 🙂
Gave it a thumbs up for pointing out the pistol hidey hole.
Beautiful truck for sure. I think even if I was in position to buy one if these, I'd go limited instead. Even though my mechanic days are past, I just don't think I need the stress of a light coloured interior in my life lol
Great review
Wow! The tungsten version is surprisingly nice!. The interior is very luxurious and functional. I’m really surprised that Ram came up with this and not GMC. 👍🏽
Best channel on CZcams.
This is as good as it gets from a pickup. 🎉
IDEAL AND THE MOST BEAUTIFUL. I LOVE THE SPEC, EVERYTHING'S PERFECT.
90k+tax +fees=120k. No, THANKS!
Sounds like a BMW, long live the i6 ... Thing's faster than my mom's X5 which is insane. $90k is luxury car territory though
What year is your Mom's X5?
@@mackfar27 2020, it’s only the xdrive40i, but that thing rips. When I come home and drive it on occasion it’s scary how easily you’ll hit triple digits without even realizing it. 0-60 quoted at 5.0 sec according to caranddriver, so for this big ass truck to be doing 4.7 seconds is insane
The Rear view camera wide view does not seem to cover as much area as the pre-refresh model. This is such an important feature that the RAM did better than any other competitor. Now they all blend together. I wonder if there is any info on the actual degrees covered by the wide lens?
90k? Lol

Best ride in the segment!
Impressive power.
Looks good, but we all know there will be trouble ahead haha
That’s what warranties are for.
@undefined7141 Yes the 3 years or so they offer...no thanks.
This will blow the hemi away in reliability. Plus it’s 200 hp more. Plus it’s easier to work on.
The sound is more because of the lower displacement amount rather than V6 from V8. Plus Turbo’s can muffle exhaust noise. If it was a 4L or even a 3.5L you’d have a better exhaust note obv. It does sound decent enough tho, I’d be happy w it.
if their reliability can meet the other competition mainly on the engine, Id buy this.
Great truck! I'd still go with the new Tundra at this point though.
Manual steering column adjustment in this price range? Por qué?
Agreed. I'm not sure why RAM has issues with that.
Honestly for alot of people its much easier to adjust quickly and put it exactly where you want it over an electrical system. If its electric, its also just another point of failure, and there really isn't a reason for something most people adjust one time, to be electric.
You do not want it power, because people pull themselves up by the wheel. That hurts the motors. Set it and forget it.
@@ahastar1141 The best thing about electric is that once you set it, it always returns to that setting without doing anything.
RAM has been consistently #3 in total light duty pickup sales since the Chevvy and GM twins have outsold Ford since Q1 2020.
I would honestly hate to be a mechanic working on these things. Basically need a computer science degree.
😂 definitely!

Best truck on the market....Sit in a ford or gm then sit a this new ram....no comparison...Ram is awesome
As of the end of March 2024, the Tungsten can only be ordered in the 5'7" box and only with the Ram box. I wish there were more options as I enjoy having the 6'4" bed in my 2019 Limited.
My '19 Limited has the telescoping/adjustable steering wheel the same as the 2025. Need for it to be power? Meh, it's one o those set it and forget it things. If it were power however, it should be part of the memory driver settings.
Impressive 0-60 times. I had a 2005 SRT-10 Ram Quad Cab (Viper engine) which was said to do 0-60 in 5.3 seconds and the regular cab 4.9 seconds. 20 years later, a 3.0L twin turbo vs an 8.3L natural asperated is getting twice the MPG's, beating the HP/Torque ratings, heavier, yet faster, this is an incredible power plant and truck.
At 100k you'd need the 6'4 bed in this truck so you could sleep in it.
Awesome Video
it's amazing accelerating about this truck.
What is it in everything I want to get money
I knew this truck was going to be fast on paper, but 4.7 seconds is absolutely insane, given grandpas will be whippin around tungsten’s 💀
Beautiful
I bought a 2500 Cummins 4x4 Tungsten edition Megacab back in 2018. It was loaded with everything available, it cost less than this truck and it would drag it down the road sideways!
Excellent review! I'm glad I didn't buy the Denali Ultimate. This is the best all-around vehicle.
I own a 22 Powerboost Platinum. I am really looking forward to a Tungsten Ram Charger.
I really like the interior of my '23 Ram 1500 Limited. Engine is ho hum with the 5.7, but this TT inline 6 seems legit.
The Rambox also has drains in it. Great for tailgating or fishing trips!
Im surprised. It's missing a few features based on the price, like power tilt/telescope and rear seat recline, and plastic on the doors, but Ram is still the one to get! Sub 5 seconds 0-60 for a massive truck is seriously impressive 👏 😮
This cat could roll out of bed in the morning and absolutely do a killer review. Pro all the way.
I like the wheels, remind me of the factory Chrome Wheels on my Chrysler 300 Platinum. This truck is gorgeous, a lot of money, but gorgeous.
It looks like you have ample legroom in the driver's seat but seemed to close on the wheel. Will the seat go back further?
My job gave me 2% raises for 5 years…..meanwhile inflation was averaging 6% so i got around 11 percent more and prices went up 32%….i lost 21% buying power… now inflation is 4-5% and they wanna give me 3s im gonna lose another 6% buying power…..im being priced right out of buying top end trucks and even at the mid level im being pushed out….and i dont feel like buying a low end truck that i wont be happy with…..this isnt RAMS fault..if your government prints 10x the money ( IT DID 2008-2016.. 2020-now) then expect 10x the price
