  • From her 1953 movie Those Redheads From Seattle, she sings in a chorus line in the Klondike. The song was a #12 hit.
Consider this a preview to create demand for a DVD issue from Paramount.
I believe this is public domain now.

I go back with Teresa to her debut on London Records, then her move to Coral, which proved to be her real breakthrough. This I always thought was her best record as it is a blending of appealing pop, persuasive blues feeling and an opportunity for her take a song slow and luxuriously. She gives this song everything it could possibly need. She was made for the movies but being a wife and mother gave more to her heart, and that was that.

Thanks for the reply, I really wasn't expecting a response on this 'Oldies' song. I noticed that we are about the same age, I'm 67, and we probably have a lot in common in music. I first started out JUST having the 'soundtrack of my life' but eventually expanded way beyond that. I got music going all the way back to the 1920's. Yes I do have many bands going into the 21st Century albeit only the 'cool' ones. :-)

The MOVIE here: "Those Redheads From Seattle" which this clip is from, is about to be released in BLU-RAY 3D very soon...The Film features Gene Barry ( From: TV's "BURKE'S LAW; Rhonda Fleming ( a Flaming Redhead herself ); Guy Mitchell; Theresa Brewer; Agnes Moorehead ( = Endora from TV's "BEWITCHED" ) I should imagine the BLU-RAY will be a lot clearer than the clip as included here -here's hoping it will be.

I believe the Movie was "Three Redheads from Seattle', not "Those" as the notation states. You cannot consider a Preview for a DVD or Blue Ray, when you have the wrong movie title. Great song by Teresa Brewer, by the way, it's a Classic and should have been placed on her Greatest Hits packages throughout the decades. Going up to #12 for a movie song was like a Top Ten hit back in the Fifties ! What an amazing performance !!!

Baby, Baby, Baby - Brewer, Theresa [Toledo, Ohio] - "During those years she continued to play night clubs in New York, Chicago, Las Vegas and elsewhere. From her 1953 movie Those Redheads From Seattle, she sings in a chorus line in the Klondike. The song was a #12 hit. " - Music! Music! Music!: - The Best Of Teresa Brewer (Verese Sarabande)-1995.

@mikekadas That Sarabande CD was the best collection I've seen. It went to 1961 with Milord.
But there's another good collection at Continental Records - gocontinental(com).
There are too many partial collections, that don't go past 1957.

Undoubtedly Teresa's sexiest performance, not just those fabulous legs, but the way she tosses her garter so nonchalantly into the crowd. This was about as suggestive as an actress could get in the ultra-conservative Fifties, especially this early in the decade. And her voice, as always, was megaphone-omenal.

@mothofthecosmos Is it ratio 4:3, or 1.66 (letterbox) like the original?
I'd like to find the widescreen.

See my comment below this one... If you are keen to add this movie to your collection, get yourself a Copy while it is still available, because movies on Disc do not always remain available, and the Window of Opportunity to add them to our collections can disappear within Four to Five Years from the Release Date...I just thought I would remind fans here on CZcams...( N.B: I have No Connection to any Film Company, I am only a Movie Fan !!! )

When Netflix says "queued by 14 people" does that mean 14 are waiting to see it yet, or they have already watched it?
