Stop blaming the ref, it was 100% a red, but because you got taught a lesson and battered 4-0 you are trying to blame someone else and not your own team and players
Great Video, always like watching the Opposition Teams Vlogs win lose or draw however I will point this out, the Ref did not ruin the game, Neil did by being a complete plonker & berating the Ref when on a yellow already, a yellow that could of well been a Red in itself. Obviously the result probably wouldn’t have been 4-0 had it remained 11 v 11 but time to put the blame where it belongs - Neil
Blatantly penalty for Boro in first half missed by ref. Dangermouse Free kick awarded to Sunderland when no contact made. The first yellow should of been a straight red. Just admit. Sunderland got beat by the better team
@richardlambert3937 no that was a debatable red and a certain penalty when we were on top anyway. This year's game we were dominating possession, chances were pretty even but we had the more clear cut ones I would say. A second yellow for swearing in a Derby is a joke especially if it wasn't even directed at the ref. The red totally changed a game that Sunderland were controlling.
I totally agree with the fans who said Dan Neil ruined it. We blame the referee for every bad result. You can't approach a ref after a yellow with foul language. We were on top when he decided to lose his head even though the ball went for a goal kick. 2 teams today that will be annihilated in the prem.
i agree but i also think it was slightly harsh. we were told when watching it on sky that he said 'its not a fucking foul'. that to me is what happens at every football game no matter what level so to send him off for that is a bit harsh
But what's he said building up to that. He could of been warned multiple times but the players were warned before the season started about this. Rugby doesn't tolerate it. I think we're all pissed off that we rolled over and got our bellies tickled. So many players didn't show up today.
The moaning about the red is pathetic. The first yellow was a red and Crooks was pushed onto his face in the penalty box first half. Sunderland should have had 10 men for an extra 25 minutes.
Agree with that, and the fact that the ref "enforced the rules" on neil for the second yellow. But player questiioning the ref hapens probably 50 times a game from both sets of players and coaching staff. for him to literally only book 1 player is just daft. There's no consistancy? You could have easily had 2 players sent off too, as well as having a pen given to you. The refs are abysmal and ruining what would be exciting end to end games.
Can’t blame the referee for a such poor performance. However, you can blame the manager for not addressing the situation of a man down. After the first goal went in, it went jugs. Heads went down and Boro gave Sunderland a lesson.
you mean a referee that enforced the rules of the game correctly first yellow could have easily been a red second all the EFL clubs were warned prior to season start no verbal abuse would be tolerated and yet your player did just that and knowing that who's fault? dans im afraid
Was lucky not to get a straight red for the tackle don’t blame ref for you conceding 4 goals spurs won with 10 men away, supporters gave up in the second half like the team
Spurs are 10x the team Luton are. Sunderland and Boro are equal in terms of quality, so of course having 10 men will have a far bigger effect than it did to spurs
Doesn't help when the officials are playing for the other side which happens a lot when it's us playing what I can't understand is why the F. A is still punishing us for what happened in the 50s yet the F. A is letting a Foreign government own football club Saudi government owning Newcastle united that's like the Tories owning Barcelona or Real Madrid how can this be allowed

TRUE
no no no Dan Neil Ruined the game!
He was our best player until that robbery
We all thought Boro would be a walk over. Lesson learned
They would have been
Really? I never think any team would be a walk over. So not EVERYBODY . However people do get carried away !
@ArtbyJoeH on social media mate. Me. I said there would be a sting in the tail
True cos we're better than them. Today we'll learn the lesson the hard way. Neil gotta be calmer next time I guess(even if I disagree with the red)
Literally nobody thought that. We're even teams
I feared this would happen. Despite the scores against sheff wed and Watford, our football has lacked flow and finesse recently.
coming from a boro fan the quality of this video is class keep it up lad
(also it wasn’t a second yellow but I’m gonna keep that quiet)
as i see it sunderland always blame rhe ref if it wasnt for them dam refs sunderland would be top of the premier league by now
Over confidence.. everyone predicted an easy Sunderland win. Not so easy after all.
Could have been 0-7
I don’t know anyone who expected an easy game. Also the sending off changed the game completely.
@@thomashackett3200Every person interviewed at the start talked about the easy 3-0 or such win.

Well done for staying to the end must have been painful
Utb!! We would have won comfortably without the sending off 🤷🏻♂️
Ref ruined the game last season too when boro had a penalty and red card against them for a soft foul outside the box so…
no Dan Neil ruined it with his mouth sad but true
Cap. It was a goalscoring opportunity and we were looking the more likely team to score. Blatant red. Idiot.

Players know the rules. If they don't follow them, they can expect to be punished. GREAT RESULT, by then way ;-) from a happy Smoggy.
Thick player swears at the ref when on a yellow yet its all the refs fault .
What was the foul that caused Huggins to come off like?
