Just saying, shook was used in the UK before the US it's just that jack is quite posh compared to most people in the UKđđ
I cringed at jack the guy is an idiot but to be fair to him his version of this was good
Not only that, "shook" was what she suggested in the other video for the "gobsmacked" one, so he'd literally just heard it and pretended he didn't know it. :-)
Lucky my thoughts exactly!!! đđ
guess you never heard of mobb deep then
This is a combination I never thought Iâd see
Hey Matt Drevv can you help me and sub to my channel please Iâm close to reaching 900 subscribers!!!!!
is it just me or did he spend 80% of that video just staring at her and/or blushing sjhgkdfhg bless him
Lol and he's like 25 and she's like 34
Fairly sure Jack was playing dumb for this.
I know. I canât always tell when heâs joking . I had a British uncle I couldnât tell always when he was joking. He WAS very funny. He was married in . Miss him.
I'm British and I only knew 2 of them
Heâs totally flirting with her. Just look at his body Language, leaning towards her the whole time. So cute. I so wish I was interviewing him!! lol
So many of these are English, dunno what Jack was doing.
couch potato is always used in the UKđ
Pretending he didn't know
He's referring to the phrases and sayings not the language itself, you doughnut / donut.
jack was clearly pretending not to know them because he has great social skills. I knew them all except jonesing as i imagine most UK people would.
i just wrote the same comment... i dont get what he was doing either
Come on jack why you letting us down here? Most are British
Hey Sonny Roberts can you help me please and sub to my channel Iâm close to reaching 900 subscribers!!!!
Tori Hyman you donât have content I would watch
Well said đ Bless Jack... if he wants to âBreak Americaâ, heâs gonna have to pick his game up a bit! Lol
For sure! Letting the side down. Couch potato? I'm sure that's English? Never heard anyone from the US use that term until this video!
Tori Hyman no.
This is definitely not American slang. These are just phrases used commonly pretty much everywhere
American media is so pervasive that American slang goes global very quickly.
Yup. Literally knew them all except jonesing.
american slang is really hood language ngl, most of this shit is the play it safe mainstream slang that white ppl use, the real hood slang in america is real slang
@@deeforthedog She describes "jonesing" wrong anyway. It's a persistent/intense craving associated with addiction and it evolved from drug slang/code for finding someone who could deal you heroin (circa 1950s): "I'm looking for Mr. Jones"
Jack pretending he doesnât know some of these is hilarious đ
Literally two of my favourite people, loved THIS!
AlexsLens this video is typically for jobless people
He is great but she is the worst
This is a collab i didnât know I needed
This is an odd collaboration. Iâm not mad at it, in fact Iâm kind of living for it. đ
OMG YESSSS! I love you separately & I love you together!
Jackâs show, âTravels With My Fatherâ was great.
IM FREAKING OUT!!!!!
Hey Sergio The One can you help me please and sub to my channel please Iâm close to reaching 900 subscribers!!!!
Yay, Jack Whitehall! Love that guy!
One of the best CZcams collabs in a looong time! Do more of these please.
I love how embarrassed Jack continually got. Also when he talked about the 5th & seeing Hamilton, I was đđđ this is a fabulous video
everyone: great, new collab!
me:they would have handsome kids
Woowww i never thought how much i needed you guys to make a video together! I love you both, but together its so funny!!!
I love to American Slang collab with British Accent, Jack Whitehall and British Slang đŹđ§đ
Barbie Barrios đ€đ€đ€đ€
Hey Barbie Barrios can you help me please and sub to my channel Iâm so close to reaching 900 subscribers!!!
Bot detected.
English accent is much nicer just as English slang is, I mean English people speak with English accents and dialects, the clue is in the name.... _English_
Even I as an American know this, then again I'm not a Yank but a Southerner and thus not ignorant, I'm also of English heritage like most of us Southerners are.
/The Virginian
not a real English accent just someone with rich parent who could send him to the most expensive schools in England. want real english accent look at johnny vegas , peter kay or even the prince of darkness ;)
your screen chemistry is off the charts! You two should always do collaboration videos!
damn he's a snack
Jack: Is this like one of the weird ones where you can't steal someone's cattle?
Justine: looks into camera like she's on The Office
I died at Justine's face at 4:01. đ
Jalani Beatty I did too
I haven't heard of a couple of those so I guess you learn something new everyday. Love ya to bits.
My two favourite people in the same place !!!đa league of their own
Hey Carrie Anne Ryan can you help me please and sub to my channel Iâm close to reaching 900 subscribers!!!!

Justine u n Jack need 2 do more videos together this is brilliant
Jack, you legend! By far one of my all time favourite comedians.
Oh and I've just discovered iJustine as a result of watching one if his vids and then clicking the link to this one.
Iâm British I knew almost all of these
Same here, lol these CZcamsrs are slightly old lol
Moses Jonson age has nothing to do with it
Samme
Tri Pham I'm not even from an english speaking country and I knew all of them (except jonesing). These phrases are not uncommon or regional at all
Jonesing basically means craving. I am Jonesing for a cigarette, for a beer... etc.
Jack is amazing on all the various British panel shows. Big Fat Quiz shows are amazing with him. You can see Jack and James Corden team up on Big Fat Quiz of the Year 2012. It's hilarious.
Both of these videos were great!
I love Jack and Justine! Such a great combo!
I found this video by watching jacks and can't believe how little he knew. I'm scottish and knew nearly every one and actually use some of them so do some other scottish people. Depends where in scotland u go really
I think he is just pretending for the video. most of the phrases are used all over the uk
cazzmc 1988 I think he was lying to save her video ..
LOVE HIS ACCENT! đ's -Brooklyn
Brooklyn and Bailey omg haii
Brooklyn and Bailey I
omg haiiiii
THis was so funny to watch ! and as a person who has english as a second language this was even more fun to guess if i myslef had understood the slang words correctly ! Thank u for being so wonderful Ijustine...you are the best in my life right now
You guys are so funny to watch! Yâall should do more videos together!
I had a great laugh at plead the 5th:) great work iJustine and Jack
Loads of these actually came from Britain, just Jack is really posh, for example jonesing is an abrieviat ion for the British expression to keep up with the Jones's
As a Brit and fan of you both, this was hilarious AND I learnt something new đ
Two of my favourite people! I loved both of your videos so much.
Love this videođ€đ
All of those are common expressions in England - at least the bit where I'm from. I can only assume Jack must have shut in a cupboard under the stairs and called It as a child. The only one I hadn't heard was Jonesing which I guess was a verb form of keeping up with the Joneses
Yeah, she didn't explain Jonesing correctly. It means withdrawals. As in, I'm Jonesing for a cigarette. Or, I need a drink, I'm totally Jonesing.
Thatâs better than my initial assumption that it was to commit suicide (like jonestown kinda thing)
Love you Justine!!
Loved it!!
Bad Education is the greatest thing Jack has ever done. Period!
Iâm English and I can assure you we use almost all of theseđđ
I'M SHOOK WITH YOU TWO ! Loved this video !
His voice is to die for đđ
Jack was almost convincing pretending not to know the meaning to all those terms.
He didn't know couch potato. How did he not know that? Nearly every British person would know that.
Me
Not me
This was so awesome! Loved seeing two if my favorite people in one video đđ»đđ»
When they started dancing đđđ»
Omg loved it, I can't stop playing it.. you cracked me up.
Love ya from VE
We call trousers trousers and pants pants (Men's brief underwear).....we don't call trousers pants in the UK.
Homework Radio Also, âpantsâ can mean rubbish, useless etc. E.g. âthatâs pantsâ.
jerry2357 I know the term ;)
Speak for your self
He literally said that.
We use trousers, pants and for underwear .. boxers, y fronts, or if you are posh briefs hahah
I think itâs funny how Iâve lived in America my entire life and I havenât heard of some of these đđđ
to give a ring, -plead the fifth -*-OH WAIT I KNOW THAT ONE-* , zonked, take a rain check, jonesing, -ride shotgun -*-WAIT I KNOW THAT ONE TOO-*
Siddharth Chillarige I didnât know zonked, or jonesing, and it took my a second for the to give a ring.
Ryan Russell same!!
Because most of them are English đ
Ryan Russell ikr

âCouch potatoâ really jack everyone knows what that means
Yes. A potato that you enjoy so much whilst you are sat on a sofa
I love this so so much â€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïž
Okay, soooooo, actually 'Ride Shotgun' does have to do with guns. Back in the old west when stagecoaches carried strongboxes with money in them, they would have an armed guard along on the ride. So, it was the driver of the coach, and the guard with a shotgun sitting up front with him. Many of you probably don't care much about that, but I thought someone might actually find it interesting.
I was going to go there too, but scrolled because I knew someone would come through with the answer. Good job Virginia!
Virginia Bourg ty I found this very informative I knew it had something to do with old West just didn't know what exactly
Iâm from the U.K. and knew this too. I thought it was common knowledge. In fact normal English people use this all the time. When people (main groups of lads) come out to go out in a car usually someone will call shotgun so the rest have to go in back of the car.
So now you edited and uploaded this , sooooo late
Hey ROYAL RAHUL can you help me please and sub to my channel Iâm close to 900 subscribers!!!!!
Heâs staring into her soul
What a pleasant surprise to see you two in a video together!
It's *JAGUAR* not _JAGUAR_ !
