- Hey, how's it going everyone?! Welcome to Soloing the Ark. I'm Phlinger Phoo. In The Underdogs series, I plan on seeing just how far the Dino's no one ever cares about can actually go. Can Hyena's Take on the Broodmother? Can Calicotherium fight the Overseer? Can you run the caves with just an Iguanodon? I plan on finding out, for the little guys, the dreamers, for the UnderDogs! I look forward to testing out so many things in this challenge!

Your absolutely right on 150s. I’ve found your odds at OP stats are strongest at 135s
Pro crossbow tranq tip!
It takes longer for your tranq arrows to apply their torpor than it takes for you to reload and fire, so it's better to stagger your shots to minimize damage. Waiting for the "arrow was consumed" text to start fading is more or less the timing for minimal extra damage.

I've got my wife, kids and another friend who log into my Ark server. After not playing for a few days, I logged in to find my bee hives all destroyed because, they ran out of rare flowers. 3 hives gone in seconds.. that sucked.

It may not be the best dire bear, but any dire bear is still a hecking TANK. Get some imprints on there and you have a mount that can kick all kinds of butt. Maybe even Boss Butt!

Lol use narcotic traps as guidelines for your wall lol. The dino leash, with the distance showing also gives you a football field shape guidelines for the wall. Possible graveyard idea for Halloween make a small graveyard with Tombstones at head of butbiter with the skeleton costume on if there is one. I wish game still had the ability to set patrols, great for guidelines.
I'm so glad I watched this, cause I killed a 3 bears(lvl 150, 145 and 140) last night trying to take them and now I know what to do, Thanks phlinger

I too suddenly have had several crashes due to graphic drivers, so your not alone Phlinger! Haven’t had such issues for years, I wonder if it’s an Ark update or an Nvidia driver issue?
Btw, you’re comment about the Microraptors is spot on! Yesterday I was pounced 3 (!) times a row on the part of the beach! They all became Thyla dinner!

Something that can be done for bears as well is dragging a dead creature to it whole knocking it out to help with it taking too much damage whole taming if not using darts
Never been able to tame a bear that actually has decent stats. Tamed plenty of crud bears though.

Why didn't you use honey for the tame? I always build a thatch tower upto the bee hive with a window at the hive and take a few hives when I need honey. Put a bed in the bottom of the thatch tower to respawn if you die and collect your honey 🍯
Ps You should’ve used honey it’s better than prime and you see 🐝 Hives everywhere!
