- FIRST LOOK: The Tacoma gets a redesign and some big changes from Toyota for 2024. On the outside you will discover an all new look, LED lighting and bold fender flares. On the inside you will be greeted by a massive infotainment system screen, 2-tone cloth seats. Under the hood you will have a choice of a 2.4L turbocharged inline-4 or hybrid setup. Why hasn't anyone done a segment on the 2024 SR? Maybe someone has and I haven't seen it. But all I seem to see is content on the higher end trim levels. Specifically Trd trims. Lots of us struggling poor folk will never entertain the thought of a TRD anything. That being said, the energy and passion of your shared thoughts on all things Tacoma is very much appreciated. Well done Sir!!!!
Is this considered a higher end trim level? Single climate control, manual driver's seat?

Always loved the TRD Tacoma : a fun off-road vehicle with sportiness with being a family car and reliability is there!
The current models backseat leg room stinks. Wanted to see if improved.

Good job Joe! I was a Taco owner and fan until all the rust issues emerged. My neighbor works for Toyota here in KY and said they still have frame rust problems. I also don’t want a turbo anything. They need to stop the rust and bring back the V6 and a bit more power. I love my Wrangler JKU, but do miss a truck.
This gets me even more hyped for the new 4Runner. Finally the TRD off-road has everything you need. Normally you would’ve had to buy a TRDPro to get any of those features.

How is the cabin feel on this new taco? I love everything about the current get except for the seating position and cabin size, would love to see some more room.
I like it, I kinda feel there needs some black graphics on the hood to breakup the sea of red. A snorkel would also be nice.

I absolutely love my Tacoma and the new gen 4 Tacoma BUT… almost EVERY other new midsize truck has rear AC and Toyota still doesn’t offer it.

Great walk around as always!! Not sure I love those fender flairs. Are those preproduction? Look like a shiny piano black vs the material GM and Nissan (everyone else) use for fender flairs.
Need something smaller than my Ram 1500. Appreciate Joe's videos of both the Taco and the Canyon. Leaning towards the Canyon right now. I have a feeling that it will be tough to get your hands on a Taco until next summer, but you can get a Canyon now.

The Tacoma is my king and has been since 1985 when it was just a Toyota pickup. I currently own a 2021 TRD OR and will have a 2024 hybrid asap. It's gonna be awhile.

I like the new Tacoma but I think I will keep my 2020 Trd off-road in voodoo blue.
My 2020 pro just hit 20k miles. I’ll be in the market for a new truck never. I’m 55, I think I got 25 years left with my pro.
I was hoping that the New Toyota 4Runner would have a Twin Turbo V6 engine option; but now that we see how the Tacoma only has a 2.4L I4 Turbo, is the V6 engine in the 4Runner gone?
I can’t see the 4Runner having a 6 if the LC has a 4.

You know I didn't think I would ever think I would miss having the tailgate storage in my Colorado, but I will. I will not see my Tacoma until and March/April as I in line for a Off Road with Max motor.

Did they fix the u-joint issues in the drive shaft, that invariably causes vibration problems after 20-30 thousand miles ? The vibrations usually occur at speeds at 60+ mph, but it’s been an issue in Tacoma’s for years.

My 2006 Tacoma has 300k on it. I'm likely going to replace it with the 2024 TRD. But a question... At 6'1" I either have to duck my head a little every time I get in or out, or else I bump the top of my head. I need another inch or two clearance in the door frame. Do you know if they've "opened" the door a little more on the new ones?
