Scott Hamilton Talks With Christopher Dean

In week 3 of Let's Talk With, Scott Hamilton interviews his very, very long time friend, Christopher Dean. Christopher, along with his Ice Dance partner, Jayne Torvill, is an Olympic Champion, World Champion, World Figure Skating Hall of Fame member. He and Scott have had so many things in common over the span of their careers, which brings for some fun laughs in this conversation. They also toured together on Stars on Ice in the early years, during which time, Chris began and went on to establish himself as a prolific choreographer.

I would add that Scott Hamilton and Torvill and Dean, for me, were the giants in their sport, the likes of which we may never see again. Their uniqueness, for me, is unmatched.

He couldn't have done it without Jane Torvil! They were so in sync, almost like symbiotic twins! No other pairs were like them! They were truly the best of the best and I'm so glad we have them on video and can watch them over and over!

But he is also an amazing choreographer, both for them as a pair and for others. It was their dances choreography and its diversity and originality that set them apart even more so when they turned professional. Their Wikipedia page has an endless list of these original creations.
