Persona 5 (PS4) - Fastest way to Level Up, Easy XP (Unique Rebel Trophy Easy Way)

- In this video I show the easiest method to get a ton of experience points resulting in really fast leveling. You will be killing a ton of Reapers, so you’ll also unlock the “A Unique Rebel” Trophy after you kill your first Reaper.
The Reaper is a very powerful shadow that spawns in Mementos if you remain idle for a long time. There will be chain noises signifying that a Reaper has spawned. It has no weaknesses or resistances, has a lot of health, and you cannot inflict any status ailments on it either. The Reaper is a very difficult opponent if you are not prepared to fight it.
It took me 20 mins to fight and kill the thing, and I had to use all my healing and reviving consumables.
Beating the Reaper does net you over 200 000 experience points, which will level you up 5-6 levels and this is the fastest way to level up in the game. So we will be using this enemy to farm our precious experience points.
The Farming Method:
During 11/13, 11/14, 11/15, 12/8 and 12/9, Flu season is in effect, meaning in Mementos enemies will randomly spawn with the Despair ailment. Despair will cause enemies to not attack you, and after 3 turns they automatically perish. This also works on the Reapers!
So spawn a reaper by staying idle on any floor in Mementos, and ambush it by pressing X. Check to see if it has the Despair ailment. If it doesn’t, escape from the battle. Make sure to have the Star Arcana link with Confidant Hifumi Togo up to rank 9, which unlock the Touryou ability. This ability lets you escape battles instantly.
Once you run away from the Reaper, move away from your location to spawn it again. Keep ambushing it and running away while also checking to see if it has the Despair ailment. When you finally get to battle a Reaper with the Despair ailment on it, just wait 3 turns and it will perish automatically, giving you over 200 000 experience points.
Just go to another floor, and spawn another Reaper. Keep doing this till you are at a satisfactory level.
NOTE: I highly suggest not doing this your first playthrough as it breaks the game and makes everything trivial. Just enjoy your first playthrough :)

I wonder how they'll balance the Reaper if it does become playable, considering that he can use every single spell in the game as well as the limited moveset syndrome that your playable Personas have.

Don't do this on my first run? being overpowered makes it more enjoyable in my opinion

Eh there's no risk. Doesn't get your heart pumping to be in a tough situation. Doesn't give you the satisfaction of beating that situation.
One i get to the point where flu season is in effect i'm gonna do this, so i can prepare some of my personas for my NG+ playthrough.
In fact -- might make a powerful arsene, so i can do an arsene-only run as an apology to it for fusing it almost immediately after i got it, lol.
Litterally the only game that can get me excited for a NG+. wow

did you get to the flu season yet?
If you are doing the flu farm, then I suggest that you let the Reaper ambush you. Because, if you let it do so, it will only take one action, and will cast concentration. Also, it only take Star confidant up to level 5 to escape battle instantly when ambushed. Combine those two and you would have a fail-proof farm. No harm involved, at all.

Wait, so you can lower the difficulty whenever you want, gain more exp, and then raise it again and still have all the exp earned? Oh my, that's broken, i had no idea :0 at this point I feel stupid for farming at difficult in mementos..
You can lower to easy and go back up. But once you lower to safety you're stuck so be careful
This method is not present in Persona 5 Royal the Reaper is immune to despair ailment on flu season.
You cant really beat him if you are around level 50. He's gonna kill one or 2 of your teammates every round, so dont bother.

@@TheLoyalShinobi. Level 60 at least with strong personas in strength and agility and magic/agility with buffs and debuffs.
is the reaper easier to beat on normal? and is he beatable without the despair, because i'm level 56 i think on my run through and i want to see if i can take him down without the flue season being active.
Yes way easier the lower the difficulty and as long as you prepare for him, you can beat him without the flu season. He can one shot you due to you low level though....

Even on easy (with Mishima's confidant maxed) I still only get 72,500.. Is that the max without being on safety?
I'm pretty sure that's the max. Safety is the only way to get more exp

Yes, way more xp and gold are earned in safe mode.
rubhen925 thanks for your reply :) would you recommend to play on safe mode? I'm currently in the story time right before the third palace by the way and I'm playing on normal mode. So I don't get a chance to farm the reaper yet and it's hard for me to gain lots of XP. Do you have any tips for that? Oh and I have finished the game once on my old account before but my dumbass deleted it lol just to let you know xD

I've defeated him the normal way but got way less exp (75000). Is there a factor that varies the outcome ?
Hmm, you get more experience the easier the difficulty you play on.

Ik this is 2 years ago but its over 75-80 and easy doesnt effect the diffuculty of enemies, just the amount of ex you get

The reaper will not always have despair. Flu season just raises the chances of despair.

its a good strategy but like.. I get more satisfaction killing him myself without the despair. I was level 76 when i killed my 1st ever reaper and man it felt good.
this video's goal wasn't about an epic fight with the reaper lol. This is for people who are done with the game and want to power level their way through if they need it. :)

no. I don't think any one of your personas can do that much damage to take the reaper out in one hit. this is the closest to a one hit
