The WAD is quite literally an assault rifle classification that pretends to be an SMG.
I feel you man it's 9 by 39 and the smg ammo is 9 by 19 more than twice as long

They should've added 7.62x54 for the Kotenok or just say that's what it uses while still taking the smaller 7.62. There are other games that do the same so it wouldn't be unheard of. Either way it just needs more damage

After seeing what they presented, this is exactly what I expected what would happen.
A DMR and SMG with silencer have sadly not much use in this game. But at the other side, you have a top tier RPG.
So, yes. More or less, same conclution.
I somehow hopped, they would add something like a PKM.
Well, we got one, but only for the sad wood bunker. =/
Good video! I bought the weapons pack a couple of days ago so getting some discussion on the subject is super useful.
9x39 has higher damage drop off because it's subsonic. It does more damage at close range and has better pen at that range too
Personally i love the new russian weapons, the rlg feels great to use its very useful even against the reaper, the AT WAD is alot of fun with its high rate of fire and integrally suppressed barrel, the kotenok needs a damage buff. It feels good to shoot, ive wanted a semi-auto dmr/sniper for so long and now i have it but its damage output is dissapointing the AI 76 does more damage as an assualt rifle in semi-auto thats not how i imagined this rifle to be. I love these weapons but the kontenok needs a buff desperatley.

Good Video! I currently use the PVG 90 main, and then switch between the new rocket launcher and my n60 with extended mag at 250. The new rocket launcher is more usable and funner imho.
The SVD they should have gave its own ammo so it alteast has more damage

@@theoneandtheonly2720 That would be appropriate. Sweden has used the M2 Browning under the designation TKSP (Tung Kulspruta, literally Heavy Machine Gun), also known as ksp 88 for a while. We put them on boats, tanks and special forces teams. I can definitely see it as an upgrade for bases for when you need an absolutely absurd amount of firepower.

The as val I personally love it! I've been using it since I bought the pack! I'll set it for burst at medium range and automatic up close and personal! It's not really a strong weapon but a dps gun!
Dude! I personally find the kvm 59 experimental and the Automatgewehr 5, ag4 experimental and pvg the best weapons for this game. if distance is mid distance and a group is coming i use the kvm59 and the electrical discharges eliminate a lot or all of them before they reach me, if they come too close and could zap me i use the Automatgewehr 5 or the ag4 experimental and extreme long range there is nothing better than the pvg 90. Never use pistols . Great game! great video dude! Keep running!
Dude honestly i'm glad to see that someone other than me likes the AG5! It's my favorite battle rifle by far :D personally i dont use the exp kvm too much, its SO powerful, i like to see my machines before i kill them sometimes ;D But 50 cal is an absolute MUST have! :D

Kotenok (dragunov) from what I've see and used in other games is not a high damage sniper. It's used for rapid execution of multiple targets a head shot weapon that can be rapid fired in CQC in a pinch to save your skin. I think this will became a fast favorite of high skilled marksmen with the damage per mag being so high.
RTG will most likely never get other ammo types because damage is its thing.
That’s because I don’t think it’s an actual sniper rifle, but rather a dmr (designated marksman rifle) it’s not made for the distance of a true sniper, but rather to just reach out further than a standard infantry rifle
Even though imo the Kotenok is a little weaker than it should be I love running that with the WAD. Part of my new standard load out. I don't care much for launchers but the RLG is nice to use
Dude I love to use the dragunov. Good rate of fire and ok damage. But dude now I'm starting to use the AS VAL for a lot of stealth reasons and quite helpful. Love the videos and see you in the next one. Cheers ☕
VAL is beautiful for stealth stuff! wish i vibed with the dragunov more, but i think ill stick to hunting rifles for stealth sniping myself :D Cheers as always brother!! ☕☕
I also use the Kotenok with iron sights. It reminds me of a Gewehr 43
A note on the RLG vs. GRG... the RLG has one hell of a splash damage. Taking out 4-5 runners with 1 rocket is so easy if you shoot the ground between them. The GRG is more direct hit blast (effective against tanks/harvesters)... just my opinion though
Well to be fair the GRG seems to be firing a shaped charge which doesn't have that much splash damage but does great damage in a specific direction while the RLG, or RPG-7, literally stands for Rocket Propelled Grenade!

they are a shaped charge with a copper core, so when it hits something, it propells molten copper right through any armor killing whatever poor sap is inside with liquid metal
nasty things, but unquestionably effective
The Kotenok is more of a Scout rifle than a sniper. Thats why it has a larger clip. Thats why it doesn't use sniper rounds. Unfortunately there isn't much difference between it and the ag4 on semi-auto.
I bought the Soviet Weapons Pack and have been having a ball. I outfitted one of my characters with all the soviet weapons pack, and the AI-76,a nd have been running around like some crazy Spetznas killin' 'bots. Tons of fun.
With the 3 star RLG 7 I one shot a level 4 FNIX Tank Rival from behind, so i would like to see what the five star RLG 7 does.

The Kotenek is for those who make the AG4 into a sniper
Honestly, the Kotenok would probably be an amazing medium-range weapon when you have other players drawing the fire. But for solo, it's only really good the way you were using it, with no scope in close range.
Use the semi auto sniper along with the shock ammo,its a killer in class with the experimental 50 cal! 👍😎
Ah dude i have yet to actually test the ammo in it, i think TAR rounds might be pretty killer too on faster moving enemies! :D ill have to give that a go later on tonight!

@@dufflesnoof8857 Yes you can. I was told this the other day so i went in game and started to kill all the rivals on my map. I had 22 rivals and on my 10th kill i got an experimental weapon .... and wouldn't you know it, it was the KVM 59, the only one i didn't have. I got super lucky.
Only reason I use the kotenok is to empty rounds into the faceplate of a tank because of the slightly higher damage per shot than the ag4, but I probably won't use it if I get an experimental ag4
The exp ag4 aint all that bud the ai7 is waaaay better
@@martinjo3414 Can't put a sniper scope on that, so have to carry binoculars - tedious! No, the AG4 Exp is the most versatile weapon in the game.
@@RO8s I'd have to agree that the ag4 is more versatile, though I do prefer the ai76s feel, though I only have a 2 crown
I play on gurilla and the damage dif between my exp ag and ai is significant even with fire effect takes up to 4 mags of ag4 where i use mag and half of ai plus if u want a scope use exp 50 its beast ha ha
@@samdan9914 Are you crazy? There's a 4* lying about in the basement of the block of flats in Klinte, just next to the church! You find the key to the room in the boot of a car, just outside the block. Go across country to Klinte - creep into the church, creep next door and you've a four * just begging to be picked up.
If i had any money, i would definitely buy this.
Got all these new toys to play with yet nothing new to shoot them at with. I really hope the next major update includes new enemies. Be it machine or human.

honestly, the WAD is my favorite. I've found it dominates the medium and short ranges better than the SMGs and other assault rifles.

Just bought both weapons DLCs and I can’t find them in my storage boxes, is this a glitch?
I've been thinking about buying both packs. American and russian but unsure at min with game keep home screening after an hour or so. Allso the mixtape that's in aso in the white car, I cant pick it up due to being inside the drivers seat. Shame as that's the only thing I need to finish the game :(
So i think they balanced the GRG and RLG 7 pretty good. Because you don't have EXP ammo for the RLG 7 but you have it for the GRG, plus the RLG 7 takes up much space on your screen.
But yes, i think the RLG is better
You can kinda say that the GRG is a ar15 and the RLG is a AK47 ;)

Can't find many RLG-7 rounds in the world, so at the moment, I daren't rely on it, but it is more powerful than the 84mm (which is in itself absurd). Is there a schematic to make it?? Has anyone found one?
Ah forgot the audio in that vid messed up, just use ammo packs on the RLG man! ammo packs are always the answer for rare ammo types

The Kotenok & new US S21 both suffer from same issues. No reason to use either over a hunting rifle.
Be interesting to see your opinion of the Com-10 vs the AT-Wad. I'm loving the Com 10, it's replaced my exp Kapist.
All in all though bar the Russian RPG & the Com-10 none of the new weapons have impressed me.

Wait so you get the dlc and the weapons can be found or farmed? I’m confused cause don’t you just start with like 3 star dlc weapons and then how do you get the 5 star dlc weapons?

No worries man, yep so you start with the 3 star weapons in your plundra, and to get any other star level you gotta farm for it and same for the attachments. You get the WAD from hunters, kotenok from harvs and the rlg from tanks, and they drop really good too so its not like hunting exp weapons. :D

I think that the GRG should be the only one that has emp and smoke rounds but i think that the RLG should have thermobaric and maybe fragmentation rounds because irl RPG7 doesn't have smoke or anything that type ammunition (it has two types of HEAT rounds and thermobaric warhead and some sort of frag ganade type round) as the Carl Gustav m/48 has smoke rounds irl (im not sure if it has emp rounds but atleast there are no generation zero style machines to use those against lol) but i also like it the way it is that the GRG is like the "tactical rocket launcher" and the RLG is just the ultimate FUCK YOU to ewerything that has armour and is bigger than hunter
been about six months, still waiting to be able to use these amazing guns instead of just watching other people using them

I feel like if you use AP instead of FMJ you could have a chance to kill the runners in one shot on there fuel tank when you where shooting I noticed you where missing a few shots unless thats how accurate the gun is
I did use AP and FMJ in this video man! Not much of a difference outside of taking off the armor plates that protect their cells a bit faster, and it sadly was the rifle (not an excuse i swear!) but something feels really off when using anything other than the 1x4 on it.. Just my opinion of course though! :D

Im a big noob in this game but one question, how do you get them at 5 stars?
You'll need to farm tanks harvesters and hunters at FNIX level or higher, the black and red colored machines, or the apocalypse which are a kinda blue colored machine. The hunter drops the ATWAD the harvs drop the kotenok and the tanks drop the RLG, same with their related attachments :D

Dude 9mm is 9x19mm and the AS VAL shoots 9x39mm the AS VAL would have more damage the kipst
Dude, there’s so many different 9mm out there. There’s the standard 9x19, Russia has the 9x18 makarov, I think .380 is also called 9x17 or 9mm short, there’s the 9x39, there’s a 9x21 that I’m fairly certain is only used in Italy. There’s just so many
Edit: 9x39 is the only 9mm rifle round I know of though.
well the "sniper rifle" dmr is like every game it does not know what it wants to be most drms are like that in games

The only one that has a real issue is the SVD. Its weaker than it needs to be. The AS VAL could use a bigger magazine imo though
Also, you shouldnt use the Kotenok as a sniper.
Anyone looted ammo for RLG-7 yet ? The Russians don't seem to leave a lot of the stuff behind.
It drops from the typical ammo boxes but not the bodies sadly, the best way to get a lot of RPGs is crafting, those are unlocked with the pack :D

tahy need to bof the kotenok's damage quite a bit coz it does less damage than an ak and why use a semi outo 18 round instead of a 45 round ak

I got this game few weeks ago i have to say the game is beautiful and I like the 80s style but the empty and walking killed the game for me
They fucked up the SVD. The round that thing shoots in real life deals vastly more damage than the two bolt action rifles in game. Accuracy wise it wouldnt compete very far but long range isnt exactly something you can take advantage of for very long in Generation Zero.

i hope they add more dlc weapons soon because i love both packs, but yeah they should've done the mosin nagant instead, i mean it was the father of modern sniper rifles
The Wad end-game is kinda going to leave the meta since it requires a new ammo source meaning no Experimental wpn ammo for it which is sad. After a couple of patches the animation has become plentiful was sitting at 2k in my Plundra at one point... For damage on the LG to Really Shin a Designated Boomer Vanguard build would be required to fully utilize the dps that it brings to the table..... The ketovanc rifle yes its a quick shot, but that recoil is worse than the PVG 50 also if you use it for STEALTH play the 7.62 required by the gun achieves a higher Muzzle velocity breaks the Sound barrier way to loudly and Sorry way to loud in my Opinion. Max range i was testing this at 75-125 meters away because of that type of ammo and Muzzles virtually not added anything at all to it Definitely not for sniping game play... on the bright side of this weapon it can use the Experimental ammo types loading this thing up w/ Tar ammo at mid-range controlling the fight is actually satisfying combine that w/ a ammo variant you could possible achieve a decent damage... but test need to be apply.

you’re supposed to lure them with a radio or boom box to where you can take cover inside plus once you max the reload speed skill set the lrg is a joke smh 😤
the LRG only uses one ammo type and it’s weak standard ammo it’s not as nearly as loud as the GRG it specifically says *HIGH DUAL EXPLOSIVE ROUND* the fuck you smokin m8
