- A larger turbo crossover pipe on a 7.3 IDI can have a few benefits. It helps improve exhaust flow, which can result in better turbo performance, and increased power (we’ll take what we can get). It can also help reduce turbo lag and improve throttle response. Upgrading from the factory pipe to Classic Diesel Design’s crossover pipe can enhance the performance and efficiency of the engine.
Keep in mind you do need to get it cerakoted, and have an extra set of hands if possible. - Krátké a kreslené filmy

40 yrs retired master cert HD/LD fleet tech here, one suggestion, the simple stuff will reach up and bite ya hard when least expecting, like that light rust on frames plus exhaust.
Hearing and eye protection are paramount on longevity for those cute eyes of yours, please please wear the eye protection and save yourself a big problem sometime and keep your tools like chisels dressed and safe plus loose clothing or jewelry on fingers or around necks just leave em on the work bench and good luck on your learning journey

From the year your frame is not showing to much crusty rust. I have an 83 that has the IDI rustproofing and shows slightly more

Replace the rope that you were using with muffler clamps. Those clamps are metal and won’t snap like that rope would
