- Before ending our road trip with our camper van through Europe, we spent one week in Puglia, Italy! We were amazed by the beautiful beaches, the incredible food scene and how cheap everything was!
Some of the towns and cities we visited were Ostuni (our favourite), Polignano a Mare, Lecce, Monopoli, Alberobello, Otranto and Locorotondo.

Yes, it's actually pretty close to Greece! We even took a boat from Puglia to Greece this summer!

Thats why they call it Mezzogiorno (the half day region).

FYI, Locorotondo would translate as "round place". It has nothing to do with "crazy" (Loco= luogo = place... not Spanish "loco" ;) )

Hope I'm not too late with this comment! We were actually in Puglia with our self-converted van, so didn't hire a car, but if I remember correctly my sister rented a car at Bari Airport and she was happy with it. It was a midsize SUV (she has 2 small kids, so needed to put car seats and lots of luggage in it).
No idea about the accent, but Americans usually say we sound very European! Enjoy your stay in Puglia!

Love this vlog! Also just wanted to add (referring to your convo at 19:40) , there is a pink city in India called Jaipur and a Blue city called Jodhpur - and yes, it's def a touristy city bc of colors :)
Would love to visit India after the pandemic! It's been on our bucket list for way too long now!!
@@laurandnicolas YAYY I can't wait for when you guys do finally go- it is a place unlike any other (and a vegetarian's dream come true). A word of advice from someone who's Indian and has been at least a dozen times: Try to go sometime between November and early March. you DO NOT want to visit when it's summer months or monsoon season. It will not be enjoyable. Also, India is a place you can travel to for a long time on a budget, and live/eat extremely comfortably - so please don't rush or only visit big cities (if possible, ofc.) But def. check out the nicer hotels/palaces if u get the chance to in Rajasthan, they're so beautiful. One more thing, you can get to literally any climate you want to in the country (mountains, deserts, lakes/beaches, big cities, tropical islands, etc.). Anyway, hopefully, you can visit sometime next year!!

When ordering starters in Italy just say "senza trippa" and they will not serve you intestines/guts. In german "Tripper" is a desease but that is a different story ;-)
