the dip dye look is SO COOL you did a great job with designing her!
The final design you did is so pretty!! I would def love to see how crayola washable markers work on these dolls. I feel like they should work but yeah lol. I do think these work really well as base dolls. Might end up getting this one to make my vampire sona with :3
I think these dolls appeal to me the most because I like pants/shorts and tee shirts. I always have to redress my RH dolls, "downgrade" as some people have said, to such clothing. With these, I get to pick the hair colour AND they already come with the clothing type I prefer, so I'm quite happy. I'm not sure I wanna pay full price at the moment, but I do want them all.
The girly that has pigtails naturally comes with two scrunchies 🤍 I love this line! Especially this doll!
Those pants looked so good that I would pay literal money for a pair like them.
Now I'm torn. I was initially going to just ignore this release because I wasn't too interested in the gimmick, but at the start of the review, I was like "oh that doll really is beautiful. Maybe I'll get one just to display a white" and then by the end, I wanted to color one. I agree that the lack of a stand is a problem though. Maybe I'll get them if they go on sale.
She is sooo gorgeous Jesus ! I thought she was eh meh but lord is she pretty, also it was smart to test the coloring on the doll , great to knew something that was supposed to be washed out could still stain ..🥲

My 6.5 year old niece would love these dolls. I will have to look for them on sale. It would be easy to make extra clothes for them from a white t-shirt. I like the doll as she is. So pretty.

this one is my favorite out of the 3 color and create dolls, she looks so clean and soft

She would look so cute with peppermint stripes on her outfit.
One thing I think would be cool with these dolls if they came with different outfit options like maybe a white jean skirt and a long sleeve or hoodie so you don’t have repeat fashions, but I do like the customization idea.
did you know theses dolls come with combs? there just plain white ones but i think everyone would agree that having a stand would be preferable to a comb because most doll lines comes with doll combs and bushes theses days so if need be you could just use one of those but its hard to find stands that perfectly fit.
I dyed mine permanently with vinegar and food dye because I wanted something to customize. It took the dye well so an option for those wanting to make something long term.
Won't it smell of the vinegar?

I found at Wiggins dirt cheap shadow high doll mark down for $12.00 purple and black hair ! Then I get the budget rainbow high doll with Purple hair for $18.00 at the family Dollar in Wiggins Mississippi ! Yell Sophia Maria😻
In my head the 3 white dolls are triplets! Lol perfect for restyles. It’s so easy changing the hair color with rit dye and water.

Dollar stores have had Barbie tie dye kits with t shirt dresses and also a one shoulder dress, fit wouldn't be perfect but it's another option.

I`ve been waiting to see someone customizing these dolls with the markers they came with and you came through! It´s fun to see how everyone will make these dolls their own.
I personally would end up using rit dye for the hair and sharpie for the clothing and shoes. To make the design permanent. I’d use graphite to sketch out the design. ❤ I’m excited to get these!!
100% agree with the opinion that they should have done different outfit sets for each doll. as a parent, it is very hard to get my child to be interested in dolls when there are phones, iPads, and stuff like that that kids want. And my child personally a girly girl and so if there have been a dress option? Or a shirt skirt option? That would have been super awesome. Or at least they should have done it the way they did with the rest of the dolls where they’re either wearing a shirt-skirt/Dress and the secondary outfit in the box is shirt pants (or vice versa). I would have ended up buying multiple of these dolls, simply for the different clothing options if they had done it that way. Or at least offered a color and create closet. Because they offered more clothing options but you could get with the dolls with the fashion closet. I feel like they could’ve easily done that with the color And create. They could have easily made the color and create its own series. The potential was most definitely there. Especially for those of us who like to get the dolls and customize the lighter colored ones. (I don’t mean skin tone I mean the color that they are assigned from the rainbow. The light of the color, the easier it is to customize hence why it’s so hard to find Delilah.)

She’s absolutely gorgeous, also, for her part line all you have to do is split that straight line of hair that was right behind the bangs, and that is her part in line. With all of the MGA dolls that I’ve had that were packaged similarly, they’ve either had a fully thatched part line or a really nice and full single hole part line
LOVED the final result, I think being dedicated to one color looks better than doing a variety
The price point seems a little bit overboard with the quality difference compared to regular series rainbow high dolls

Great review & you even showed how the colors work on her skin👏! You're right they should have all had different outfits 😎 Also they should have come with an extra skirt or shorts since they included extra shirt & shoes 🤔 I do love the idea of these beautiful dolls & my favorite is the curly haired one 😍 Red is my favorite color too so I'm glad you tried to make a red based doll 👍 even though it came out as hot pink which I don't mind but real red would have been better so they should have marketed it as pink instead and not red 👎

I'm Early!!! I'm mildly confused by this gimmick, but maybe the markers can be used to do dolls that don't have a lot of colors (RED)
I REALLY hope they are not transitioning to not putting stands in future releases. Hopefully this is just a one off problem.

ive just recently done "hot roots" on my Bratz doll in rainbow sharpies- a few people were telling me its going to stain the doll and the cloths and leak everywhere
I feel like this doll concept only works if you wash everything right after play- i wonder if the longer you leave it, the harder it is to get out and the more chance of staining to occur.
i was under the impression if it dries it wont bleed or stain anywhere else :s
I just love that you can do your own colours with texters compared to how limiting doll hair is

These Project rainbow coloring dolls remind me of doodle bear and a doll called what's her face from around the 2000s then I'm sure their other past itoys and doll who have the same coloring theme/gimmick.
I wish they came in the junior high sizes too, they look very fun to customise

I suspect the hair gel is necessary for the automated/machine industrial packing process... otherwise the hair might get staticky or gum up the fasteners situation and end up across the face or otherwise in the way. It just seems like something they would leave out if they could?

I want to see you use alcohol based markers!! I think of them as permanent on dolls but maybe the harder plastic would make a difference?
How was the knee joint on this doll? Mine had trouble bending properly.

Crayola markers are washable, i wonder if they would work ? Also wonder if Rit all purpose dye would work as well as a normal RH doll ?
I LOVE dyeing my RH dolls' hair with rit dye, and dye more! I did it for the RH Budget Dolls 10/10 will do again lol

Yeah I got 2 of 3 dolls. I tried color the sneakers and didn't like markers. It is a fat marker and the colors are flat. Then I couldn't take to color the doll. Then they say to not keep color in 24 hrs.
But if the color, primarily the red sits on the hair and or clothes for an extendid amount of time, will the color still wash out i wonder?
I’ll show that when I review the next doll :) just needed time to allow it to sit. It said it should still wash out but not “perfectly” so we’ll see!

I have found some of series3 shadow high in store. I dislike most of the eye shape they choose sadly. They are awsome otherwise.

Honestly you’re better off using acrylic or gouache paint, at least in the shoes, Ik this is intended for child but I can easily see children getting bored using the same colors
The idea with these is that they’re washable and easy to do with just what comes in the box and I think they nailed that. I can’t stand working with paint so it’s fun. I don’t think this is a super mind blowing set but for the demographic it’s made for I think it’s pretty cool. To make me fully say it’s worth the price they would need more marker colors and different outfits though.
