  • Your momma raised you right and now she deserves a cookie bouquet! In my opinion, some of the best Mothers’ Day gifts are the edible ones. Watch this cookie decorating tutorial to learn how to make your own floral cookies with royal icing. This video shows you how to make 4 different types of royal icing flowers and 2 types of royal icing leaves. A cookie flower bouquet is a great present for more than just Mothers’ Day, though; they are also perfect for birthday gifts, a thank you gift, a hostess gift, or a graduation gift.

I have the same trouble keeping my hand still. That’s why I suck at details

I don't know why it shook so much when I cut the bag. It's usually not too shaky unless I'm nervous. It's better if I can rest my wrist on something.

Could I pipe the flower directly onto the cookie?

    • @Queenpin

Absolutely! It is quicker that way!

Why didn't you pipe them right on the cookie? I notice a lot of people do it like you are but I would like to know the difference please!

Hi, Tavia. You can pipe them directly onto the cookie. Piping them onto the parchment paper is less committal. If you pipe directly onto the cookie and mess up, you have to scrape the icing off and it gets messy. If you pipe onto parchment paper, you can make a bunch of flowers and only put the best ones on the cookie. I hope this helps!
