    I love your videos, I'm having trouble with the consistency of the icing for the detail work. Seems my lines are to thick any recommendations?

    These look sensational and I am another that is envious of your fine line ability. I need to get different bags I think. Instead of painting food colour direct, could same be done with really thin icing for sweetness?

      Great video and tutorial. You deserve way more subs. Keep up the great work 🤩

      The handpainting on the pink lingerie cookies is a thin layer of flood consistency icing. When I tried to handpaint with the black icing, though, it wasn't sheer enough for my taste so I combined The Sugar Art's Black Turkish powder with high-proof alcohol (making an edible watercolor paint). You can maker a thin layer of flood consistency royal icing look sheer in most colors except for black.

    If only I could master those tiny thin lines like you do! You make it look easy but when I try it I get little curlies.

    • @Queenpin
      @Queenpin  Před 3 lety +1

      You can master the thin lines! Practice is everything and if you mess up, you can always use your scribe to remove the mistakes and try again. As for the curls, your icing might be too thick or you might be squeezing too hard. A lot of people also say that the curls happen if you don't flatten the tip so that the seam is in the middle when you cut the tip (but I don't do this). Try fixing those things and let me know what helps you! You can do it! 😀

      Thanks for the template, Loren! I guess I’ll get in some skinny line practice because I will be trying out these lingerie.

    I didn't catch what type of alchohol you added to black powder.
    Would it be like everclear or vodka?
    TIA
