Whoohoo shout out to Walt Whitman HS! Nice video, but would have loved if the background music came in and out, rather than just playing throughout. Keep going to represent Long Island because not many CZcamsrs covering this area!

People have been leaving Long Island pretty much since the late 90's! I know a whole family of 10 that moved out of Suffolk county along with another neighbors family all at once. There are some that do move back, but the vast majority don't.

DON'T CANCEL YOUR CAR INSURANCE BEFORE MOVING!!!! Even a single day of no insurance will be considered a lapse in coverage. Only a couple companies will insure you, and IF they do, you will be paying over $1000 a month for insurance. It makes no sense, but it is what it is. I sold my car, canceled the insurance, and moved cross country, bought a car, aaaaand had to create a miracle in order to get affordable insurance.

Forgot to mention 1 HUGE statistic - CRIME
You also forgot to mention JOBS on Long Island.
People are fleeing Long island due to rise in crime, and lack of JOBS, after Gruman. fairchild & Unisys left, there arent really good jobs on long ispand, and working in NYC is terrible (long commutes & safety)

Can’t deny that there are some/many people leaving Long Island. Crime on Long Island does occur, though it isn’t as bad as a lot of places… or extremely crime ridden.

@@cornelsmithrealestate I grew up on the East End and have lived all over the island. The Crime, High Prices, High Taxes, high vehicle insurance. I have since watched a few videos like this and it seems like none of You are really from Long Island and only mention the good things. And also the fact that Brooklyn and Queens are deff on Long Island. Nobody pays a toll for a bridge or tunnel to get from Nassau or Suffolk to get to Queens or Brooklyn. I would deff like to see someone who is in real estate to tell the truth about this place and not just trying to sell houses and get more people to move here because when they get here and face the reality, Im sure folks like You are Long gone.

I did mention the Long Island Divided expose’… a study/report about housing discrimination in Long Island. Long Island does lack diversity in some (some may say a lot of areas). There are also pockets/places on Long Island that are diverse/multicultural

No it's not. Racism in Long Island is nowhere near the Southern States.
