    A true legendary car. I wish I had this. I have the follow up successor to this car. The 2IS made from 2006-2013. Mine is a 2008 IS250. Still a great car but the first gen seems to have more of a legendary status to it.

    Im thinking about to buy one in around a year as my first car. But in good condition they are so expensive. There is only one for sale in my region right now, by the photos in very good condition but costs 12k Sfr. = 13k Usd. Around two months ago was another one for sale with the big thrunk for 3k Sfr. = 3.2k Usd. but so rusty.
    And they are all automatic because if i remember right tey were never sold manual in Europe. I mean thats not bad but a manual would be cooler.
    Its a nice car with a cool motor and has four doors. So it would be ideal. 🚗

    • @DrivingProduction
      @DrivingProduction  Před 3 lety

      They are great cars! Unfortunately like you said if you want one in good condition you have to pay lots of money for them! They did come manual in North America but they're even more difficult to find, hope you'll be able to find the car you want! 👍

    would this exhaust set up pass smog? (i live in cali)

    • @DrivingProduction
      @DrivingProduction  Před 3 lety +2

      I'm not sure what exactly the laws are in California to pass smog, but if it's only through the OBD reader it should past as it doesn't throw a code or anything as the second cat isn't monitored. Let me know if you have any other questions!

    Exhaust and intake ?

    • @DrivingProduction
      @DrivingProduction  Před 3 lety

      It's an AEM Short Ram Intake, and for the exhaust this is the setup, Third Catalytic Converter Removed, Muffler Delete (2 and a half to 3 to 4 inch burn tip)

    • @robsnizzle7
      @robsnizzle7 Před 3 lety +2

      You do know the STOCK INTAKE IS DESIGNED AS A RAM AIR SYSTEM RIGHT, you'd had gottin more with the stock intake with a K&N filter. Aftermarket ram air are just pulling hot engine air, also I'd suggest the KONI STR.T STRUTS (ORANGES). But non the less be happy I live in CALIFORNIA and I can't do shit to it cause of emission laws.

    • @DrivingProduction
      @DrivingProduction  Před 3 lety +1

      I think my friend Billy (the owner) wanted more induction noise, over actual performance. But he does have the OEM Ram intake going into the short Ram intake

      @b.st.f7987 Před 3 lety +2

      @@robsnizzle7 I totally agree with your statement. However I highly prefer the noise over the little performance benefit in my opinion. Adds to the enjoyment of driving 😉

    Hey guys. I'm 15 and I'm already looking for a car asap. Is the is300 a good first car? If not, what are some good options for around 5k :) I love JDM and I want a manual. Thanks guys

    • @DrivingProduction
      @DrivingProduction  Před 3 lety +5

      Hey man! Congrats on looking to get your first car, that's very exciting! The IS300 is a great choice for a first car, there pretty solide cars, maybe something to know about them though is when they to break they're pretty expensive to fix and also they can be hard on gas if you have a long commute. Just something to keep in mind. For other choice, I'd say maybe 99-06 Celica GTS, RSX Type-S, 2nd gen Mazda Mx-5, not sure if you can get a 350z around 5k but could be a good option too! Let me know what you think! 👍🏻

      An is300 is a good solid reliable vehicle.... after all it's a toyota I have the 05 automatic model (I swapped out the stock steering wheel for the 06 IS350 ONE to get paddle shifters and bluetooth) owned it for 3 years no hiccups, regular maintenance and she'll purrr like a kitten every time u turn her on..... super fun to drive (I recommend KONI STR.T STRUTS). This car has a capability of being highly modified or enjoy her as she is, as a fun track car.
