Hi, in my DS-160, I’ve mentioned my freelancing career in my primary occupation, which is not relevent to my PhD program. Will it hamper my visa interview? 😅
I do have my TDS records but since my income was below taxable limit, has was not eligible for ITR.

My visa application was put on administrative processing hold 221g on 19th December 2021. I received an update today but my passport is expiring on 31st December 2022, and I have received the request to submit my passport to the US consulate in Hyderabad, India, today.
May I proceed with the existing passport or apply for a new one and then submit it along with the old passport?

What should i select in primary occupation section in ds160 form, if i had completed my Alevel and currently on a gap year of 6 months?
I have applied for a 2 year masters program and in I20 it is three years, so shld I give the same time of 36 months in ds160 form? Edit: I just gave 2 years..
Ma'am for Jan2021 intake I scheduled slot for 27thmay 2022.and now I got I20 for another university may I use this slot and keep another emergency to get earlier slot is it possible actually i already sent one emergency request in Jan with different university so worried if I keep 2nd request now with different university will it impact?please advise

Now I am booking my visa interview slot but on that page there's an option of entering the sevis number under the header students & exchange visitors program details, whose sevis number it should come my husband who holds F1 visa or me applying for F2 visa

Can we show different sources of funding for I20 and DS160? In I20 I have marked sources of funding as Personal funds and Loan. In DS160 I am marking it as Family funds. Will that raise questions? Or should I go with personal funds in DS160 too?
The only problem here is I am a student (fresher) and if I will be showing personal funds then they will ask from where did you get this money?

hello shachi , i just received my admit few days back for fall 2023 intake . previously I had an idea to get a education loan but now its too late for me to process the loan and then get an i20 with it so for the sake of getting i20 can I show the savings which 2k USD more than my fee. like can I submit my financial forms and bank ACC statements to my UNI without the education loan sanction letter and get an i20 ......and then while i20 is processing I will make sure my education loan is ready and then use it for my visa interview

This is or F1 visa: For Fall 2022 : There has been a change in the I20 form provided by the school of admission. I have already filled and submitted DS160 and got a dropbox appointment (have a valid B1 already ) - appointment is in 3 days. Should I update DS160 with the new I20 details )SEVIS ID remains the same) - will that change my appointment? Or should I create a new DS160 - will my existing appointment be modified? Or is it better to go to the VAC and just submit the new I20 along with other documents (since the change is only the major name)?
