Would you marry a DARK or LIGHT-SKINNED Igbo man/woman?

  • In this exciting episode of OZIOMA, we ask young Igbo people to tell us the preferred skin tone/shade of their potential love interests.
In Igboland, people with fairer skin tone are abound, though those with darker tones are a clear majority. Controversial? That's the idea.
Enjoy this video, and feel free to share your thoughts and comments.

Igbo is a beautiful language and I enjoyed listening to it. I just discovered that I'm part Igbo so I plan to learn the language and culture. While I was perturbed by the question being asked in Afrika, I understand that Igbos do have dark and very light people in the group so this must have been noticeable among you but it was good to hear that the people you interviewed had their heads on straight and are not color struck.
