    The thing about the igbos is true, I have a friend that is igbo and he's quite wealthy, his dad is some kind of oil business man or something. But he's a great guy though, rather cynical but awesome in his own way. Igbos and yorubas left their mark on jamaica words such as soso (only,bare) and unu (you plural) are very commonly used in jamaica. I hope all the groups get over their differences

    I am Igbo man and I like this video. Everybody is just speaking their minds and they are all somewhat correct from their view points.
    For me, the Hausa people are just awesome like normal human beings, until the Fulani colonized them and placed the religion as a bondage on them. Because of that religion, human life is nothing to them. Religion aside, the Hausa people are just awesome. The educated ones are still awesome despite the religion.
    My Yoruba people...............I really have nothing against them oo, aside their tribalistic nature. But if you a truly educated yoruba who is a born again Christian, he is nothing different from an Igbo man in terms of the good sides.
    My Igbo people, of course we pursue achievements to extreme and extremes are usually not good when it comes to physical things of this life. But that aside, IGBO AMAKA!

    • @amaragrace94
      @amaragrace94 Před 7 lety +8

      spikyangel48 That is because during British colonization, the British allowed the Hausa people to keep to themselves in the north. They also gave them alot of government control. On the other hand, Yoruba and Igbo people were subjected to Christian missionaries and western education from the British. That is why Igbo and Yoruba people speak the most English. The Hausa had their own system of education. The British knew what they were doing by giving the Hausa the biggest division of land in the north compared to the west and east. It is easier to control the less educated. BTW I am referring to the 60s not now.

  • @bbbbbbbbbb0
    @bbbbbbbbbb0 Před 9 lety +17

    Tbh people don't look at this and think its just Africans or blacks that are divided. This is a common thing that has taken place among many nations as far back as thousands of years. For example, east asians such as the Chinese, Japanese and Koreans have never been united and have looked down on and discriminated against each other in the past. Look at the division between south and north korea -the two nations even speak the same language! Another example are gangs; I'm from London and two areas in the same part of London i.e the north can be (and have done so in the past) fighting each other.
    My point is that this isn't just a black thing and people shouldn't just label us as just divided people. i'm not even surprised because these are 3 different TRIBES. Tribes are divided due to their language differences, their territorries, their religion, food, culture, etc. I agree that we need to practise more unity when it comes to fighting white supremacy and overcoming the white mans sins against us but in the context of tribes? It's not going to happen. Tribal divisions date back way before colonial days. Maybe we can ally together when we want to strengthen our race, our continent, etc. But don't expect tribes to be best friends, lol.

    • @FroMaestro
      @FroMaestro Před 8 lety +6

      By far the most sensible comment I've seen on this page.
      Chinese people are over there talking about 'why is the yellow man so dense? Even blacks know to stick together in America and we keep in-fighting'. And then you'll come over here and black Americans, Diasporan Nigerians, home-based Nigerians and many more, will be working themselves up into a moral panic that we're so divided. Abeg, just settle down and realize human nature for what it is. There are opportunities to exploit for the betterment of all if we face life as it is, not as we wish it were.

    Wow, the Hausa guy is the most truthful. The Igbo woman, you can tell she didn't want to insult or praise anyone because all her answer were bordering very low during the insulting portion and very low in the praising portion. For the yoruba guy, the hausa guy hit their attribution square in the head, at least in respect to the guy. Even when they had to erase the tribal disparage and praise eachother, he still maintained the tribalistic attitude.

Overall, the Igbo man hasn't got issues except the love of money. This is their only flaw. However I draw the line on acting on prejudice, i.e whether to hire somebody or not, to love somebody or not, to patronize somebody or not, to sit near somebody or not based on that what makes them different as as opposed to their personality, character, values or principles.
    In the West, it's the opposite. They their actions speak louder than their words!

How come Igbo officers did wait and fight instead they ran to the East when confronted by Murtala and Danjuma in Lagos, Abeokuta and Kano?

    Hausa words which ends with Allah are not to be changed,if Hausa man said walahi sei na bugaaka(i swear to allah i will beat you) ,you should watch up,because he really mean it. Hausa and Allah are not toys,so dont play these two things when dealing with Hausa.

    When over 200 Igbos officers ( 85% of Igbos officers ) and countless troops wher killed in 1966 where do you expect the defenders to comes from. Please in future give accurate accounts or educate yourself. The Yorubas on average where mostly pussing footing even after their second highest ranking officer and one of the bravest Nigerians past of present. Lt Clol Fajuyi was murdered with Ironsi, when he could easily have saved his own life.

    @SonofBabylon Are you sure you are the only one building company in Nigeria. You mention Oando forgetting Capital Oil or Master Energy. Oando had never been the biggest oil marketer in Nigeria. Master Energy is the biggest Tank farm owner in Nigeria or west Africa. Capital Oil is the biggest oil marketer in Nigeria. IVN Innoson Company not from your side too. UBA and ZENITH bank control foreign Africa banking Industries, check the owner. MTN franchise is own by who? you're claiming to be educated but what full your head is tribalism. That is how you're all claim Lagos forgetting Lagos and Ibandan was build collectively by Nigerians and the major non indigenous people that build all these cities are Igbos. Please try to build other city can you tell me any other city in South West that is more industrialized than Aba and Nnewi which are build solely by the Igbos without a single Yoruba or hausa owning a single plot of land because they can't afford the lands there. You just acquired some industries through Fraudulent scam of Awolowo against the Igbos during and after the civil war 1966 to1970 when they sold all Igbos properties and companies to there brothers and sisters. Where was your people before the civil war . Who are the richest before the civil war scam. I'm Proud that my people never give up. Now they are matching shoulder to shoulder to other people who benefited from Nigeria collective wealth and the scam against the Igbos. GOD BLESS BIAFRANS GOD BLESS IGBOS HOME AND ABROAD.

    As an educated Yoruba man, I have nothing to say to Hausa because quite frankly he is beneath me in every category. As for the cowards Igbo, their businesses are local stuff but Yorubas are building companies for the future. Think of Mike Adenuga of Globacom and Wale Tinubu of Oando for example.
    Selling used car parts and fake items from China ain't big business so we ain't losing sleep over that shit. Only 3 Nigerians have been certified as Billionaires by forbes and 2 are Yoruba with third
